It's under the special tab, the crates you can purchase for 60 gems for 1 or 175 gems for 3

These are boxes you can purchase with Gems, go into your profile click on "Special" look for boxes and buy them ...see if you win cost is 175 gems per box and you get 3 random items. give it go, you cany loose for the price

I'm a free player, I use the earn free gem method (may take little time). Having said that, I spent gems on the limited phoenix earlier today. Kinda wish I hadn't now and leaves me well short of getting three boxes. Maybe it's for the better as my luck at gambling is bad (reason I'm a free KA player, my money goes to the casino).

Also anyone noticed they raised the price on the lowest free limited unit from 60 to 65gems now.

I might not be buying into the Valentine's Day LTQ or even the crates. But, I'm so GLAD they made this harder. It's keeping all the free players where they should be, behind the Gem spenders. Not with them.

Got 1 rare out of 6 opens, but most have higher attack than dragon, so for around 1000 gems I got 18 indestructible units, almost half with double the dragon attack. That's good to me

Has anyone else noticed that the value of the LE units seems to be getting better?
These latest Gaian warriors seem pretty cheap for their stats. And sitting right next to the PoS, it's easy to make the comparison with the 'standard'.

Actually we did, on the previous page, although we called it 'stat inflation'.
I guess 'getting better' is easier to understand.
So yes: all indestructibles seem to be getting better and better!

Probably it is a way to give new starting Gem players an edge over the existing bulk of free players.

It appears that stat levels (for gem, LTQ, LE and other such units) are rising at a brisk pace of late. Just a few months ago, units like the Vallata 840A/1140D were highly sought after and valuable.

Now? 840A/1140D is ok, solid, but not spectacular. How many gems did you spend to get Vallata? Yeah, quite a few. I did too. What's it worth now? Much less and if the inflation continues, it'll be worth next to nothing to the high gem folks (who are the monetary basis for this game).

So that brings up the units from the new LTQ, box event. 9kA/D is great. Something for big gem spenders to shoot for, to be sure. But ask yourself, what will it be worth in a month or two? At this rate, the "big" units will be 20-30kA/D, making the 1k A/D units you paid $100+ of greatly diminished value.

If you have lots of cash to spend on the game, that's great. Just be prepared for greatly diminishing returns on your prior unit investments.

They wont. At the time you invested in, for instance, the Vallata that unit was epic. Now, there are more epic units you need to invest in to make sure you keep your edge over free players. Means Gree can keep on paying its employees. Given to the huge amount of people still spending tons of gems this seems like quite a solid business model.

Hey Ezinap, yeah I appreciate that the absolute stats are rising. What I was getting at was the value - cost for those stats.

Now I've only been playing for a few months and haven't been in any position to go after the high stat prize units, but I gather that there has been a lot of stat inflation of those units recently. The figures in the LTQE prize thread certainly seem to show that.

At the same time, however the quests have become harder, with higher (potential) spends to achieve those prizes. So the effective cost has gone up too. Maybe someone's tracked it all, but the higher spend for higher stats would indicate that the value of these recent prizes is around the same.

What I was talking about is the limited edition units. It doesn't seem to me that the cost of these has risen significantly, while their stats seem to have risen. Ie. better value.

Anyone else noticed or is it just me?

Did 5 crates got 11 X Common and 4 X uncommon still good value. Will get more tomorrow , as my stats are lacking in regards to who see's me getting to the peep show for the 200's and I dont want The1 biting yet ! Cause I am a tasty Morsal for the big ones looking for new meat ! Have to strategize properly and make this work... This is what it's all about, don't need to stick my neck out just yet !

Great work Ratma! Wish i had some of my 2400 gems i wasted on the bow (which i still don't have) to spend on these crates. Glad you got some good stuff though.

Depends on the point of view. Increasingly higher stats "entry level" gem units mean rampart devaluation of anything gold based - the latest "gaian" entry levels, as well as the latest common chest units are stronger than the dragons. Hence - one does not need much strategy, skill, perseverance, etc. anymore - just cash. Not even that much of it. One starts with all gem army/commensurate armor/weaponry and grows everything with each subsequent level while acing the boss events (still higher stats gem units) and PvP based LTQs (ditto), then when the level/energy/hero strength/equipment is high enough all LTQs are reachable. Plain, simple, boring...

Sorry I didn't read your post earlier.

Interesting point you made, to take cost into the equation.
The other posts here show that Gree made these crates interesting for high level players. I guess better value indeed!
Maybe Gree is trying to milk the Gem players over their whole game progress from start till end phase...

@MSH, better than dragon units has always been for sale. The boring money route has always been there. It is actually rather friendly of Gree to have those as entry units. I mean, it saves the starting spender a mistake.

Agreed, but they were much more expensive/having worse costs/quality ratios, than the new ones...AND were dispensed at the later stages in the game...Also, I have nothing against someone else's "starting spender mistakes" - part of the learning curve, I guess ;)

Excellent pick up and for me better worth while than LTQ , I think I purchased about 15 crates so got a good kick in stats also, well done, for me if it's bett than Dragoons then it worth it, unlike the earlier ones.

I just bought a 3pack, and got 2 rare (both Blockade Runners) and Common (Servant of the Fey)...
Not too bad honestly...

Now why cant I have that kind of luck with the arrows????

And what I ended up with after 17 Crates and yes2975 Gems worth but better than dragons and at least I win something unlike current events where chances is virtually none existant, but better for me , I can actually see value ! I walk away with minimum of 3 units per go !
