Allies in Battle List: Guilds

There are reports that players now see allies in there battle list, this appears to be due to the recent updates.

Here is information I got from someones post on this matter.....

*" Thank you for contacting Support about this matter. There has been a recent change to Kingdom Age concerning allies and your Battle List. In the past, if a player was among your allies, they would not show up in your Battle List. This is no longer the case. This change was done in anticipation for guilds being brought to Kingdom Age. Players will be able to form and join guilds, which will in turn be able to purchase PVP boosts for their members, and participate in special guild-oriented PVP events. In preparation for this update, allies will now appear on your Battle List, but your guild members will not. I apologize for any confusion this change has caused.

While you can see allies in your battle list you cannot attack them, but you can invade them and raid there buildings. This is a good way to share gold actually.

I can confirm to everyone that there is a new event Guild coming so dont freak out with allies appearing on your battle list

Yes, this is why it shows up in other other single game except MQ. It's so everyone can attack each other when a guild battle arises.

They are really giving themselves a whole lot of work. Why not simply communicate these kind of changes to the users through a simple splash screen or whatever. Very strange. Now the support probably have so much extra work to do. Very strange indeed.

This makes it hard if you invade your ally..what message would that be sending to them especially if they are over vault and you know about ..let's say with the level i am at there is not many with stats over mine, but most are allies .. This could upset the equalybriam between allies.

Save! I am a spender! If we have to purchase boost is that as a collective or individual ! What is boosted? Stats, what are we upgrading , do we keep these upgrades ? Sorry for questions. I think the raiding would be ok only if its through the battle list. Would worry me though if you would be able to raid buy going through visiting allies option.

I like the guild idea, and would recommend that gree set up an option where each guild would have an elected leader. Then that leader would get like some gold tribute weekly or monthly from its guild members. Also there should be a challenge option within the guild for right of leadership. Now that would be interesting.

Cheers!Well, let me put in simple words. Players will have the opportunity to form groups and then the groups will fight against each other. It means a player from level 70 for example can form a group and invite friends or other players to join his team independently of level.

They're known as Factions in MW, Syndicates in CC and in KA it looks like they'll be called Guilds.

Simply put, a player creates a guild and gives it a name, then invites other players to join the guild. There will be a "Guild" button in the KA menu where players can get info about the guild they've joined & other guild members, and talk to each other through their own guild forum. Members are required to donate to the guild so the leader can buy bonuses for the guild, eg. health regen bonuses, unit attack/defense increases, building defense bonuses, etc. which all guild members gain the benefit from.

In MW, the factions compete for World Domination, with a different event for each country (we are currently fighting over Greenland). Each event consists of a themed box event, 2 boss events and a 48-72 hour Faction PvP tournament where factions compete with each other to rack up the most PvP wins. The final part is a full on 72 hour faction war, where factions fight each other in 1 hour long battles to rack up WD points. The faction with the most WD points at the end wins the war for that country.

Yes and no... You know eachother and that's it. If guilds are comparable to factions in modern war, a battle and ranking of the Guild depends on how deep your pockets are.

Just try to enjoy the game and be realistic and have fun with your Guild.

Before I had to break off last month (family emergency), there were hints of this, right? I remember thinking it wasn't all bad that I wasn't able to do anything other than visit, collect, and start another upgrade for....actually I am not sure how long it's been. Long enough I actually forgot some of how to get around the game, so must be over the two week mark when my short term memory flakes out.

This is awesome! I was hoping the rumors were true. The dynamics sound interesting. Having an alternate now, I had already thought about leaving my current older character more or less at stasis and "raiding" her when I got to that level - and even offering that option to "Metajetta"'s allies - thinking I'd have to drop and add to do so.

It was actually Jonny who gave me the thought a couple weeks ago or whatever it was. He mentioned dropping allies when he needed cash, etc - I thought that would be an interesting way to set up an informal cooperative system.

Of course, maybe that's out there already and I'm such a noob you all are having a good laugh. "Well, duh!"

You best get that BD10 before all the Guild PvP stuffs starts going down. You may never get it after.

Campers will still be able to camp if they choose.
They can set up a guild, donate and upgrade to get advantages that will assist them whilst minimising XP gain.
They will simply choose to not activate their guild during an event, same as happens in MW.

Something to think about though, the last MW big event went for FIVE days, next one is supposedly a bit shorter but still around THREE days which I believe is still too long.

My advice is if you play a variety of the Gree games then choose ONE and only ONE to be an active team oriented player in. If you still want to play the other games, fine, but join a faction/clan/guild that focusses on bonuses which assist in the current boss and LTQ events rather than one competing for the team oriented events.

Given the way Gree operates there will be times when the major events overlap, trying to be a full participant across the boards will be difficult, likely stressful instead of enjoyable and almost certainly result in you spending way too much time (and money) as a result.

Do not let this (or any other) game become your "life".....

Well sai Q-Raider! I'm quitting MQ for good. I would say its my best account as I used all experience got from MW and KA and started right and slowly but I can't keep up with so many events. I will still keep MW and KA but I'm pretty sure it will come a time where I will have to choose between one or another.

This is the current issue with the new update ! All your allies you can now raid from but not attack, this happened to me yesterday I had Master who is my ally raid me 6 times in a row !! I had to find him in my allies list QUICK andsendhim a message to stop! As I could not retaliate against him....no attack allowed ! Only raid
So if your allies are OVERVAULT and you need some coin you can raid them for it , may not rallies much longer but I wouldn't , that's why you can see your allies on your Battle list as perwhat The1nONLY was saying .
You just have to remember who's an ally and who isn't ! I am culling my low level allies and refilling the spots with Forum Memebers ONLY

There is a little bit of info available in the walk through section of Modern War.

I expect that the format will be similar.
PVP will earn bricks, rocks or other item which you can use to build fortifications which are used purely during the faction battles.

There will be a range of different bonuses which can be purchased by the guild, Health rate which assists in the boss events as well as faction wars, attack and Defence increases for the different categories of units, increases in how many people you can have in your guild.

The biggest downfall will be the same as MW I expect, the number of people cheating has increased sharply. Energy hacking and money hacking seem the most prevalent though skill point hacking became quite apparent during the faction battles. Players with 14 million attack or Defence we're popping up and it really crocked up the matchups for the first few days.

Jonny, if these players didn't exist we wouldn't be having as much fun as we are raiding and pillaging their kingdoms over and over again! I decided to camp my arse and start smashing players again who are over vault and those who have failed to collect their buildings profits. Just made myself 800,000 in one day! Woot woot! That's about the best I've ever accomplished. I decided to stop doing the event as I'd reached my point of no more gems to what I see fit for myself with each event. I had me some serious fun again looting and pillaging...I almost forgot how fun it was!

I say to these people, "keep doing it!" It works eventually...when we raiders get bored and move on. Lol!

Look at the bright side, it's not just Gree that does that. I used to play another game online. Free to play but could buy gems for different things. It was really fun, but as they started coming out with more things in the game, the more that those that have a bunch of money they can sink into a game got incredibly OP advantages. I had seen alot of players walk on that game when that all started. I stuck it out for a while, but it just got worse and worse. I finally got fed up and walked. They didn't care if the game had glitches and caused someone problems and setbacks, as long as they kept getting money. I had, for a little while, spent money on it. After a glitch caused me to lose a large part of my troops, and they wouldn't do anything about it, I stopped spending money. Gree, on the other hand, has at least made up for the glitches that happen in KA. They gave me the final LTQ prize when KA glitched on me and I couldn't even play it during said LTQ. That was way more than I had expected. And for that I give them respect.

Kruppe my friend, the Dragon Warriors are another clan too. However, what's great about KA compared to MW, is that there is a huge respect across the board for all members. I find that clans usually don't attack one another...most people in clans respect that higher lvl player.

But...the Guild Wars may change everything.

Personally I wish there was a greater emphasis on skill in this game. There is not enough focus on it from the devs...some, but not enough. All it really takes is a stack of cash to throw at the game. That makes it pointless for gamers in my opinion...just great for rich dudes who have nothing to spend cash on rather than throw it at a company for well, no real reason.

You are correct about the skill or the lack thereof. Some strategy component would be nice that is independent of spend.
And I have enjoyed the forum. It is, in the main, a most collegiate environment, even when raiding and competing ...

Kruppe I am not a member of any clan but a free agent same as some other members although I hear the rumor mill about FK teaming with RK and DW so it's a mix of all sorts , get the people you need to make it strong and worthy of getting a top spot on the Guild, if your good enouyou may get approached by Guilds or you can ask them , or if your adventurous you can start your own if allowed I am not sure how many Guilds there will be but each has a certain No# members or so , but as I am not a leader as such I am in the market but worth TOP dollar like most members with worthy stats.
And that's about as much as I know...other member will have more info when it comes to hand if they wish to tell or keep it on the hush hush, and leave everyone to make their own at the last minute....scramble time will be crazy with everyone vying for a good Guild

Right on! While I myself haven't actually noticed any hackers ( I'm not really looking), it just makes me furious when I hear about this. Especially when I look at some of my iTunes receipts and start to realize how much $$$ I've been spending. I'm actually afraid to add it all up! But I've also had a lot of good times & made friends, which has helped me get through some personal difficulties. But with all of this hacker activity, I probably will start to feel less value or return on my money spent along with the frustration that those hackers are getting away with it! I can see why some just walk away eventually.

Oh yeah, agree with you 100%. My problem is that MW is my secondary game behind KA and I don't know my allies in MW as well. I could be attacking some of them during the faction event without knowing it.

Didn't mean to infer you could deliberately attack an ally, especially if they're overvault. Bad choice of words there.

So it appears that this thread is now about clans, guilds and hackers. I'd like to take a moment and add my 2 cents if I may:

Prologue:
I used to play Civilization years ago and had a lot of fun with that game. Extremely customizable, etc... But what made it REALLY great, was that the developers were actually on the message boards with us. They responded and listened to us when we presented upgrade possibilities, functionality, unit stats or whatever. We would bounce ideas off of them and through our modifications and conversations, they developed Civ IV. Many of the board talk made it into the game.

Now, I'm only recently joining the ranks of KA but am a veteran of gaming for more than a few years.

That being said:

Hackers: There are cheaters in every walk of life and that wont change, hackers are an elite group of minds that can certainly alter the landscape of any given game, on any platform, but they are the minority and shouldn't be allowed to freely contaminate our game by the developers once they're identified. We too as a community can stand together and maintain our kingdom as well!

Guilds: My concern with guild play (from what I've read about them), is that it SOUNDS like if you're a big dog you are set but if you're a puppy, you are going to be out of luck. This was said by someone earlier in that BD10 won't be achievable after guilds. I understand this in only speculation, however, for someone such as myself who's only been actually playing for a brief time, or even someone out there who's about to find this game tomorrow, why start if you have no chance of building a fun to play kingdom? The whole point to PLAYING a GAME, is to have fun. I'm not downing guild play, but I am leaning on the side of cautiousness you might say. I've seen games that were taken over by dominant forces and people left the game in large numbers! If you're a beginner, you might feel like you have to join a guild as a form of (sorry to all my Italian family and friends on this one, myself included!) :) protection, from warring guilds-men just to have fun playing the game...

Clans: Hmmm... Clans are a funny one for me. I have to say, wasn't the biggest fan guys, sorry. I watched games get run over by warring factions of clans that just assaulted anyone in their path and made the games VERY difficult to play as a result. These were early first-person shooters and on. (I can't be getting old!?!?!) Anyway, They tainted my opinion of clans ever since. I've avoided them and just seen them as "they're out there, but as long as they don't bother me, I won't bother with them" type attitude. All they wanted to do is war and choke younger players to the point of submission until they finally left the game. They would harass via gang-like mentality or military strikes having the whole clan go after individuals and/or verbally abuse them until you just didn't see that person around anymore. Sad really... Flash-forward to now: So here I am, in KA, I've made an ally with That 1 Guy, leader of the DW clan. SOOOO, out of pure curiosity, I asked him about his clan when I realized his status, more out of skepticism really, figuring I'd get the typical war-like statements! WELL, to my surprise, he replied to me and presented a well thought out and structured agenda for the Dragon Warrior Clanman! I read it. He and I responded back and forth a few times on our walls and I've read the walls of other DW clan members to find that they appear to actually back-up what is written in their 'by-laws' if you will. I don't know if that's what they call them or not, just saying... Anyway, With their high interest in gamesmanship and helping other players get better; promoting a fun, safe and enjoyable game for all their members, and the appearance of genuine fun being had be them made me think differently, at least of the DW clan. Not all clans, I'm certain that not all are similar but I have taken a step back to consider that maybe all clans AREN'T bad! (and his heart grew that day!) So, I was pleased to allow them to scrutinize me for entry into their clan by the membership! I believe in the same methodology of game-play they outline and would like to try it out with them. One more thing; the FK appear to be similar in gamesmanship but I don't know any details on those guys and nothing on the RK clan or any other in KA.

Now, how the clans and guilds will marry seems to be yet another question.

Gree should release a post thread relating to Allfacets of the event it's not till next month so plenty of time, they will post a full rundown on what to do and what's what ? They're are only a selected few that have played this sort of event over at MW and others so it will be a new experience for most. Just keep reading post and threads same as me

I am fairly new to both this forum and this type of game play and little did I know it was going to cost me so much...lol.

Two thing I have learned while reading the forums. 1. I am such a little fish in a big whales belly thought I was progressing well in KA and boy I have a lot of catching up to do. 2. What a family you guys got here.

The1 your awesome for your insights and your willingness to share info,insights and just general knowledge. Some of you cats are hilarious. Johnny ur funny .. Ratman love the pic honestly I could fill the page up with comments like this. I just want to be apart of it and share my thought and insights as well.

I am not at your level yet and may never be but it won't be for lack of trying.

Never been apart of a guild or CC or any type of game like this but at first glance and since I really don't know what I am talking about. guilds seem like trouble for a player like me until I get caught up. While I am not openly calling anyone on the carpet it seems to me that players who have stats in the 300k to 500k will have a significant advantage over others and can pillage and pummel you into submission before you get started. Not everyone will have the same honor and integrity that the1 and many others have displayed but what happens when some don't play by the rules of your group and go rogue or some high powered guild just kills the little fish repeatedly. There is no in game rule against it as far as I know. Question? will there be some kind of cap. Example guild red has 20 members will the attack stat be calculated by average att strength lets say 450k or will it be an overall att as in all 20 guild members added together so your guild has a att strength of like 10 mil and same for def stat. Also will it be competitive? such as tiers of guilds so a guild with 500k can't attack a guild with 100k. If that's the case then where would the fun be for some of us like myself who only have 110k but gaining power everyday by getting beaten down by people who don't follow some sort of morals. I know all is fair in love and war.

As for the prizes you win how will the rest of us compete for top prizes if its not an even playing field and yes war is and can always be lopsided. But if your guild just has better stats then mine how can I win the good stuff and become more competitive if I really have no chance to finish in the top ten and therefore winning some lesser unit which may or may not make it to the battle because of weak stats. So the saying is the rich get richer while the poor get stepped on or something like that.

Just some thoughts and like I said I don't know how this will play out and I'm still wet behind the ears when it comes to this or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. Am I wrong? Any comments and or suggestions would be most helpful and appreciated. Sorry so long but I'm bored and trying to be thorough with my thoughts and questions.

I don't have the stats yet but I play every chance I get and get better every day i have some nice chips for my army when i do start breading my dragons like the valentines warrior (stupid arrows which took 4 ever to get) I believe I can be a good member to any guild with honor.
