Check your goals, if you have it in your goals you can see if you have been credited for wins, or not. I got the goal before seeing any notice about the boss event. When I restarted I got a single splash screen but no links to prizes. Nothing on my iphone announcing the consumable explosive yet and have not had any drop during PvP or PvE.

**update: footballs are dropping pvp only, for me, drop rate was above 20% for awhile but then it went way down (5-10%? closer to 5 for me; YMMV)**

The most reliable boss trigger is initiating a PvP attack on another player (not a character that is part of a map, attacking a player).

That doesn't mean you never get a boss from hitting a building or a character on a map (I just triggered a boss attack by bothering whats-her-name on the Canal Street map) If you can trigger a boss attack by PvE action on a low level map like Canal Street that is the least-XP per attack (Plux ftw)

Didn't CJ mention that there was supposed to be another event during the last boss event but the programming wasn't functioning correctly so it didn't go into the event? Maybe some other contest will kick in and be better than the stuff in this event.

You're better off doing all with cash until you hit your limit and then use the gold you would spend on this event to buy the crime lord crates as they are better than this stuff!

It gets better the more you progress, honestly you should expect mostly common through the first 15 levels...

Agreed, in the first 15 levels the prizes are weighted towards the commons and thats all you should expect. When you are on boss 30 onwards the prizes are weighted towards uncommons and rares are frequent here on too.

Get yourself some pigskins and you'll progress through many more bosses.

I think the Chief's event was one of the better ones in past six months in terms of prizes and at least for me outcomes. I do see a lot of chief prizes in top tier of folks I PVP with as well.

Pigskins will increase your attack stats and the higher your attack the more damage you can do to the boss with each hit. So yes, the more pigskins you have the better. I'm up to 4 at the moment - hoping to get more to minimise the amount of gold I need to get the cruiser.

At exactly 20k you can get lvl 30 normally. You can take down lvl 40 with a properly timed level-up (obviously you probably can't level up for each boss between 30 and 40). To take down a tier 2 without gold or levelling up you need atk of 27693. Shouldn't be too hard with all the pigskins kicking around (plus the handful of rares you should have gotten by lvl 30).

Finished level 40! I don't know why GREE decided to drop these footballs during an event, but I like it a lot. Without them I wouldn't have gotten past level 30.

Ended up with 24 C, 10 U, 6 R. At the halfway mark, I had 16 C, 2 U, 3 R, so it looks like the common to uncommon ratio does get better along the way.

Also, just robbed someone to see my new stats, but the level 40 boss came back. Is there any "benefit" to continuing after picking up the final item? I'm guessing the same items can be picked up as in the earlier rounds, but there's a lot of xp for each round...

did 2k fights, way cheaper to get a 1k atk item with a few refills than going for the boss. after 8 rares im expecting a long common streak anyway. all in all happy with the events, if there wasnt the hackers again on pigskin removal mission :(

completely based on level plus attack when you start .....they hose those at level 200 with high stats

AFAIK you can keep going which I did, already done 42 bosses and I could keep going but I'm going to reach level 26 soon and I'd like to do another tier 1 boss again.

This is crazy low tier should not get the same item as we are getting in the tier 5. They all are beating the boss so easily or Gree should make it fair to make it difficult to beat the boss in low tier as well not exactly as in tier 5 but still somewhat difficult. this is truly unfair. In every boss event low tier ppl beat the boss so easily and get the prize which a level 200 guy will get by beating the boss spending vaults of gold.

Its what tier you were in when you started the event. If you move to the next tier during the event like you did it will still be on the one before it

I leveled to 25 and have 12,000atk. Tier 2 begins at 26, so don't worry we're good for another tier 1 boss. I think reaching 20,000atk afterward is very feasible and won't be too much of a problem. 20,000atk alone should suffice to reach boss 30 in tier 2 which should net us even more atk. We'll probably have to dish a little gold on the first tier 2 boss but we should be good after that!

Hooray for massively overinflated stats with consumable explosives! Completed my first ever final boss unit yesterday, then decided 'ah what the heck' and went mental... 62 bosses defeated so far on my LLP, stats are through the roof... 28 common, 19 uncommon, 15 rare and still going (Boss currently taking 5 cash hits so completing one every 90 minutes or so...). Having never got past Boss 22 on my main account this has been a breath of fresh air, hang the XP and make hay while the sun shines IMO :)
Bill, FYI - Tier one boss 50 takes almost precisely 125,000 to defeat. 24800 took 6 hits, 25400 takes 5 ;)

Edit - Have suddenly just realised that I'm not doing myself any favours by carrying on unabated on what is essentially a camper account. Durrrr. All done at 62, and will remember to stop at 40 in the future lol...

You can do roughly 2.5 bosses while in tier 1 before leveling to tier 2.

YESSS! I finally made it! My first boss I can kill all the way to level 40. Before I've never gotten any further than level 25. But when I had 25 pigskin from the 500/2000PVP contest I suddenly realized I could make it to level 40 by doing the 13-attack trick with game money. Let's hope I can keep the pigskin until the next boss. Didn't made it to the 2000 wins, but remained a free player.

And at least you get this prize instantly. ;)

This event is much better than the chest open event that was so boring that I lost interest within the last 36 hours.

lvl 55 i stopped on the first lvl 50 boss, not too many rares for 50 bosses but only 10 commons, so mostly uncommons can't complain for free.
