How will factions be matched against each other in Battle for Greenland WD?

What do you think, know or have you experienced?

Add up total atk and def stats for each faction?
Number of allies?
Number of faction members?
Compare leaders and defense leaders?
Previous W-L records?
Placement in battle for brazil?
All the above?

Chance for every active player to have at least one opponent to defeat
Chance to abandon the battle and declare war again if the opponents are too strong, at least you don't waste 1 hour and energy, or, review the matched factions and eventually choose your opponent from a list

This was in the first 2 days right? We had the same thing with Faction Mad Nugget! We fight them twice, while they were paying Gold, we could not compete with that!

They fixed the isue during the last 2 days of the event! It should be better in the B4G

well I hope they fix members count too. 30 members vs 4 members. None of the 30 members could win, cause 4 members total power was the same as 30 members total :D So member count SHOULD be some way counted in total power too.

You declared war and then because your opponents are too powerful you want to run away... What kind of gameplay is that? You sound like a five year old sulker who goes crying home to Mummy because the bigger boy at school is picking on you. Stand up and fight like a man, you pussy!

Remember, WD events are not about winning battles, but winning the war and that is by gaining as many WD points. Attack the fortification and once that is down the Communication Centre and that will net you WD points if all the rival players are too strong for you. If you think the matching algorithm is unfair then don't declare war and just sit back and watch us have all the fun.

Declare War button is only enabled for WD events and it won't be activated until the Battle for Greenland starts in about 2 weeks time! To participate in this PvP tourney, just attack and raid any other rival!

If I see another person posting about this Declare War button and why it is not there...

Learn how to read people! Check threads for relevant titles and read posts... Now how hard is that???

The first day we were all on level playing fields so you may have got attacked by one of the top factions because we all started with zero points. If you were in the high end of the top 100 I would expect for you to end up going against one of the top 25 sooner or later. Also the high end of the Top 25 will be matched with a top 10 sooner or later. I see it as fair if 1-25 had to fight with each other.

It seemed funny that we were always matched with 10+ member factions, but with smaller stats than us. We used some gold too...So pretty much I agree with Dutchie! If you're going to complain, go play Plants VS Zombies. We entered the war as a 2 men army and placed a pretty decent sopot! It's all about the strategy.Now that's the spirit and well done on your placing for being in just a two man band! I bet you had fun being outnumbered but still kicking butt!

My faction in the bfb was paired up with factions inside the top 25 while we were over 100 places behind them. Some match ups were more fair than others.

Sounds like the algorithm starts by comparing total faction atk and def stats, then by number of faction members. If you were two players with strong stats, probably had to pit a 10 member faction against you to make it "fair".

Correct... and then the final component to the matching algorithm thrown into the mixer is where you are currently placed (ranked) in the WD event.
