Cant visit rival's hood

one after the other, more problems. earlier it was comment system that had issues and now i cant visit hoods. it just keeps saying the rival is too beat up. no matter how hard i try, i just can't visit rival's hoods. have tried to visit 5 different hoods but it just keep throwing me back on my hood and keeps saying the rival is too beat up :(

contacting support. hope they can fix the problem.

Just started happening to me too. A message popped up saying there is invalid data and to delete and reinstall. Did that but same problem happened again.

I got this 'invalid data' in my own hood. Can't even use the bank.

i'd say don't be upset because there's so much going on at the same time. gree is perhaps busy with integrating the syndicate stuff so we may experience such problems in the coming days. my purpose of discussing was to know if others are experiencing similar problems.

please keep adding to this thread if you are getting problem with visiting hoods and then we can request CJ or other mods to look at this thread. but lets keep it civil lol

i uninstalled the game. rebooted the phone. reinstalled the game. it went super slow on me, each building took more than 3 secs to load in my hood. then got a popup asking to install new data and restart. did that. and now i'm trying to buy crates and still the same popup .. delete and reinstall.

i'm getting the invalid data too (since 5 pm cst)

what i noticed is that my data set reverted to 0124 set and the update was the 0129 that was installed yesterday. still getting invalid data. but didn't get it (invalid data) yesterday or this morning until after the event ended. (which is another story/thread)

same here .. i just managed to visit a hood .. robbed level 4 nightclubs .. banked money. tried to visit another hood and same delete/uninstall thing .. think i'm just going to enjoy the day and not play cuz its getting on my nerves now.

OK got a solution for this ....

uninstall the game.
shutdown and restart your phone.
download the app and reinstall.
start the game.
the game may appear verrrrrry slow. dont worry
you may then get a popup for downloading the latest dataset.
"do not download"
visit a few hoods, collect, rob, whatever.

it should work fine now. there is some problem in the dataset. try this and please update this thread, did that work for you?

damn, I dl'ed the latest dataset before reading this and CC wont start. Time to try this out.

EDIT: The game started shortly after I posted and except the lag, things seem fine.

EDIT#2: Apparently, the game waits for me to post something, then does the opposite. sigh

I got the problems this morning after trying to add allies and post some comments.
"Crime City wasn't able to load due to invalid data. Please delete and reinstall the app to continue playing."

Anyone knows what happens if you do that if you have these extra building like the Frosty Hideout and the Gobble Gobble Buffet? Once I tried to clear my cache memory in the phone and then it couldn't load my hood. I read somewhere that that was due to the Gobble Gobble Buffet.

So far what Ive done to get around this is rob 1 building at a time, collect and bank after each rob, and once the"cant fight" appears, restart game. It lets me play about 15 min before I have to restart.

Doesn't it install automatically? And then ask you if you want to restart...and then the next time you will get the new data anyway.

For me if I a new dataset is available I can see under the ABOUT tab that it says updating...then after some while I get "Do you wanna restart and use the new data"....if I don't restart directly it will use the new data after the next close/open app again.

What type of phone do you have? I think I cannot control the dataset download. I only get whether I want to restart ASAP and use the new data.

BTW perhaps tomorrow a new boss event will come...i.e. perhaps a new data set.
