Finished 215, got scared during the last few minutes. That 250 prize is way better than the reinforced blast shield I won last time (322/468). I spent a total of 1000 gold from a vault I bought during the 20% sale. 23 engines were opened with gold and 11 with cash open.

LOL I got scared too. I dropped way way too much in the last hour thinking people would be more competitive. I had 39 engines

So, let me get this straight...you ridiculed people who spend 1,500 gold on a slightly weaker item, but with a great modifier (30% reduction in upgrades), yet you spent 1,000 gold on this item. Also, I think I remember you saying that you only spent a tiny amount of gold on these events...

I think the cutoff was 33 for top250. Never got the popup after restart so I don't know my exact position.

I got the top 25 item for this event and it bumped my "real" defense to 542,000. As for the cost, it usually takes me 10,000 - 12,000 gold to get in a top 25. If you buy 20 vaults of gold, or more, in the gold bonus program; you can get gold for 2.5 cents per bar. So the cost for me is approximately $250-$300 per top 25 finish. Not cheap, but far from thousands of dollars.

You need to burn gold if you even want to get the 3rd item (if you do it without gold, you're darn lucky). But hey, from the looks of it, it seems like it's the probable case.

Never bought gold with real money... I was so lucky to get the evidence burner at the last open. Also got the 10 racing engine item with no gold... Not too bad I guess.

I have one burning question: what's the item that has the best stats, ever? Is it like something with 5000 attack/ 5000 defense with some cool bonus?

Correct Sister Morphine, you have to buy the vaults through the store like everybody else. If you buy 20 vaults on the 20% off sale you pay $1,600 for 30,000 gold bars and then get 50,000 more as a bonus. So in the end, it costs around $30 a vault, or 2 cents a bar. The catch of course, is how much money you have to spend to get the bonuses.

I'm not saying it is a good or bad idea to spend real money on a game. That is up to each of us to decide individually. I'm just saying that people aren't dropping close to the amount of money on these events that some people think they are.

i finished with 35 or 36 but i don't see the top 250 prize in my inventory (it is a gun right?) for the last 3 hours though, the game has been very glitchy.

I have it from 15:02 EST when I have restarted the game. You should have it.

well isn't this a kick in the balls. no i haven't gotten it yet. at 2 o clock i had 35 which according to the leaderboard on my phone, was 1 more than #250 had. the screen didn't go away but at about 2-3 minutes after 2 pm (cst) CC shut down. i restarted, and when i did, the event icon was gone , but no 999 attack gun in my inventory.

now for last about 3-4 hours, i've had trouble going to rival hoods and banking money and i get this screen occasionally : "CC wasn't able to load due to invalid data! pls delete and reinstall the app to continue playing." i've never gotten this before.

if i delete and reinstall, do i have to enter the transfer code? or does it bring my stats back in automatically?

and just for my gratification: if the event screen was open on my phone for a few minutes after 2 PM cst and i used gold to reset and open a few more crates, that counts toward top 25/250 right? (for the record i was tied with top 250 at 2 and used gold to get 1 more engine, just to feel safe. for all the good it did apparently)

First, I received the top 250 prize 2 minutes after the event ended which is what usually happens (woohoo! my 2nd strongest weapon!). There was an Android only event in which I ended up in the top 10 and did not receive the prize for a couple of days. Send a ticket! I got my top10 prize and modifier a few hours later!
