Can't Add Friends or Join Groups

I have two faction members who have recently joined the forums. Neither has the "+ Add as Friend" option below their names, and neither is able to join or be invited to our moderated forum group. Does anyone know which settings they need to adjust to change this? We are at a complete loss, and don't want to leave these members out of group discussions.

This is correct. They need to have their accounts activated.

So glad I found this, one of the members in my faction has the same problem.

I have a problem getting the validation email. Yahoo email never got one but gmail did within a minute or two

Yup for some reason only gmail works for activating accounts.
