Just play your game and make some friends along the way. Definitely avoid the crews that just blindly take anyone. Also, remember that wearing a tag or joining a group makes someone a target. Each player has to weigh the pros and cons for themselves.

Don't listen to the naysayers. If you enjoy the game, just have fun. One of the biggest factors in the game is time. It takes time to earn, time to build, time to upgrade, and time to collect. You can get high stats without gold, but I believe you'll find that every really high stat player spends gold. There are plenty of things I waste money on. Crime City is just another.
