I'm curious as to if it might backfire on some people. If it gets to the point where saving/strategizing for upgrades is taken away do you think the game might turn into more of a chore then? Don't get me wrong, I want the item and this may be me trying to console myself for likely not getting it, but it's just a thought. This goes doubly for those who are stacking the effect with the already 30% off from the other item.

I don't understand how saving/strategizing for upgrades would be taken away with this modifier? I made adjustments already to my spreadsheets in costs of upgrades. For me, it allows me to afford higher value upgrades, with my other item I get 25% faster upgrade time. I think not so many replies because idk of many who wouldn't want to have the item. Are you concerned about future items with similar modifiers?

I have the old modifier and it just made my life a bit easier. When you get the high end upgrades you will still strive for more. They are so expensive still. Hundreds of millions

I had a problem with a broken modifier a while ago and because of reasons, the problem existed for several months. When it was finally addressed, I was allowed to swap the item with a broken bonus for any event item of my choice (except for the #1 prizes from leaderboard events). I probably could have picked the item with +10% mafia attack if I had wanted. I didn't see it making a huge difference though.

I ended up deciding on the Striker Minigun since it would be the biggest game changer for me. Even more so than the Emerald Burner, which I also strongly considered.

Today I was real lucky and got the Evidence Blaster. If cash is going to be as useful as I've read regarding syndicates, then having one or both of these modifiers will be huge.

Having several faster upgrade modifiers and not the one making them cheaper was actually becoming a problem for me before I got the Minigun. I don't see that being an issue anymore though.

Yeah it's a big game changer. Now I have both these reductions it's near enough 50% cheaper to upgrade things. I can gt the bigger upgrades done a lot quicker so when syndicates comes round i will hopefully be in a very strong position.

Just received the ev. Destroyer, and it will definitely speed up my upgrades. So are you saying the new feature will actually value those of us with decent hoods finally?

No, I think he's saying that it takes the skill and strategy out of building a good hood...

I agree a little with what you are saying, but I still think it takes some skill to know the optimal path to take to building your IPH if you only have a single modifier.

If you have both modifiers, you will literally have only 4 or 5 buildings you will be upgrading (NC, Palms, Casinos, G-Club and Office Buildings) you will never have to upgrade anything cheaper.

murf, for whatever reason my math comes out that it is hotels not office buildings, and a touch of rock cafe's. Either way at 51% off and reduced upgrade time, this is pretty worth it.

With time everyone who builds up their iph will be on the same page. Difference will be 3-4 months modifier or no modifiers. Once you get both NC to lvl 10 the rest is just a time matter. Slowly everyone will be on the same page.

Got my secnond 30% cheaper modifier this morning, I haven't seen the new costs yet but with some of the most expensive upgrades to go i'm sure it will make it's presence felt. I'm kind of sad because it lessons the time I have before upgrades are meaningless but that's the goal right?

@ BOS I think Dudemans issue involved having the pathfinder and the blackout RPG as well as being level 200.

GREE has actually been doing a really good job lately of finding new ways to keep players attention with this game. In fact it seems a lot of campers are participating in new events, because ::shocker!!:: they are compelling events worth taking the exp points for.

With that said, I doubt getting the new modifier is gonna be the reason people get bored with the game. Because it seems like GREE is gonna put that new income to use with syndicates.

Yes, it was something like that. A combination of things, but none of it would have occurred without that RPG. The only reason I got a swap instead of a refund was because I was lucky and got the RPG for free.

You should start banking again Euchred. That might keep you around and saving for upgrades a bit longer (if maxing IPH is what you're concerned about). I do not and have never "no-banked", so these cheaper upgrade modifiers are pretty cool for me. I know it's cheaper to pay my rivals instead of the bank, but paying the bank doesn't show up as losses in my profile. :p With these modifiers I don't really have to care much about a 10% bank fee, so what if it takes and extra day or two to save for an upgrade? Riiiiight?

Now you have me thinking. I still think i'll wait till syndicates hit though.

The defense they provide will put me to a new level of untouchable. (I wish)
Who knows what could happen. Maybe upon the puchase of 500 jets the sidewalks in your hood turn to gold.

Diffrence is huge I missed the first one and will probably miss this one too and at 5Mph my next upgrade is 900M so saving 30 or 60% makes all the diffrence, Just look at the IPH leader board those with the first item have streaked ahead of those without.
