Got 9 last night and laughed knowing that Gree was just F'ing with me!! :p Daring me to buy gold... But buy I did not...On my last open, with 31:14s left, I opened # 10!!

There is sometimes a glitch in the system. I did not log out and opened 10 straight and got 10 500 respect in a row.
I picked a rival from the list and open 5 straight and got 5 vests.

Not very random. I think when you enter these patches you just have to restart your device or uninstall and re-install. Oh well.

I got 8 with more then 3 days left.

And I've been talking with a friend who thinks this is all fair, and every player has the same odds.
I said BS, since I have NEVER gotten to 10 boxes, chests,..whatever..... Since the very first event..
He said I just needed to put in "a little bit" of gold and I would get it easily.... (He would bet money on that)

So, the last 2 days I spend 3 vaults of gold on this event to prove my point that this is a big scam and the odds for players in this came is so screwed up.. (I stranded at 9 rolls!!)

So now my friend can pay back € 270. :)

Congrats to all who received #10, one of the better prizes to hit CC in a while. Don't think I've ever seen so many BLNTs in a collect 10 before though, didn't even get to #5. Granted MW had their WD event so I wasn't able to open 15+ a day. But still, I had a minimum of 40 attempts and only got #4 lol.

Got the 10th with 20 mins to go having been stuck on 9 since day 2. I cracked and got gold though but only cost me 315 (not counting about 90 tapjoy gold)
Overall I'm happy though since all I do these days is work on IPH and this is the first event I've got all 10 since the Emerald Burner one

This is mostly true (imo). On the other hand, you could get lucky and get the end prize for little or no gold.

The first time I ever spent gold was on the first collect-10 event (diamond sig), and I got burned big time. That event ran two separate times, back to back, and I still finished stuck at 9.

I decided to do cash only from then on and got four end prizes without a single gold bar.

Once I spent a mere 75 gold to get the tenth item.

On another occasion I got to 5 with cash and then did gold opens without resets. I got the end item for under 600 gold that event.

This time I kind of burned myself, but it just goes to show how random it all seems over ~12 months of eventing. Going several events (months even) in a row without making the end prize gets really frustrating though, so everyone who's posted their frustration in this thread has every right and reason to. It sucks trying hard and/or spending only to fall short of the goal.

The final 5 mins I still did not get it after 65+ gold attempts. So the final 5 mins I blew through the remainding 550 gold on the clock and unsussful trys.

Now after many hours of work and 1500+ gold I'm left with a bunch of crappy axes and vest with a lousy 10 to 20 attack/defense each.

I'm ready to give up on this game!!

Any words or enlightenment?

Perhaps it is true that within the first 24 h it is easier and cheaper to collect the 10 .
I was succesfull in these 24 h and used gold
If you do not want to be frustrated there are two ways
1 you do not spend any gold
2 if you do spend gold ,go for it all the way ,i know that can become expensive but that is the only way you are not getting frustrated.

I m a Modern War player first, and about 2 weeks ago installed CC to try it out, did El Diablo Boss when I only had like 3 days and managed to kill him 21 times without gold, now on this camera event got the ten items with only 10 sorry s, 2x 2400$, 2x 50R and 1 rusty weapon. No gold involved also, free player.

You will definitely still get BLNT's after you have all 10. I keep going for RP's and pimp's low riders. The way they give out vehicles in this game it will be years before i out grow them.

To avoid crashing, don't do ANYTHING expect collecting cash and open, that means: do not attack/rob or even check your rivals's hood, do not visit your friends, do not buy any items/buildings, do not even move around in your own hood unless necessary (You can zoom out if you could not collect cash from all buildings, that helps minimize move attempt)

My little iPod touch 4th gen could last more than four days only for opening boxes (and I closed the app), if someone try this on the new iPad, I'd say till the end of the world...

BTW, you can actually move your device around if it could automatically detect and connect to a wifi.

There were a few bugs on a few separate occasions. I wasn't given gold on every occasion, but there were a few... let's say "issues"... for which I was compensated with a bit of gold. Most recently, I was doing map jobs and my progress was resetting, resulting in days-worth of energy being spent on zero progress.

Just stuff that gets missed in their testing or whatever. I must have some kind of bug-magnet programmed in my game though, it seems like I'm often the one pointing these things out. ;):p

I wonder how they determine how much and what amount to give. I've seen CCM/CJ say something to the effect of how many people have reported it and the severity, but I've dug up some real elaborate glitches / vulnerabilities and submitted step by step guides as to how to recreate, and I haven't even seen them addressed by the engineers. Think multiple builds at once and Agent Smith (before he popped up). If I can think of and figure those out, you'd think the guys writing the code would at least be able to look into it. :/ Maybe they just don't consider them glitches. I guess there could be that...in which case, it should be on the up and up to use those tricks?

There is no belief that the accrual of event items stops at the official conclusion of the event, despite the ability to open another case or two afterward? I don't think I've ever come upon an event item in stoppage time (just loot items, which used to make it worth it for an hour or two), and I don't recall hearing of anyone hitting 10 in this way either.

EDIT: previous posts remind me of top-250 shakeups in stoppage, so it is definitely possible. Remaining gold going in. Guaranteed opens or resets? With time against me I think it has to be resets + cash opens.

If you spend enough gold, odds are you'll get it. If you don't spend gold, odds are you won't. If you're using resets/gold opens to get #10, probability states you should expect to spend 1,500 gold. There are better times than others to do this, and if you angrily reset/gold open your RNG seed isn't moving on, and you can get stuck opening with an unlucky seed.

Also, Gree may be using Apple's own RNG, so to say this is a Gree specific problem may be premature.

The final item is not worthwhile in terms of attack/defence, so go to crates like Ammo Crates and Crime Lord Crates. But if you like the modifier, it's another story.

Extremely surprised I was able to reach 10 this event.. In the past, I've been unable to do it without gold for any of the collect 10 events.. This one, I was able to get it with all cash opens, with a day left on the clock.. Pretty stoked about it.

Ok, jumping back in. My BlueStacks Android emulator account is still getting opens on the crates. I just got the second film roll outside of the time limit and just got the indestructible explosive 36 hours after the event ended. I'm giving up the next few scratchers to see if I can still get the 10rolls item. Only 3 more film rolls to go. I wonder when the servers stop issuing film rolls. I'm sure it is posted somewhere and I haven't looked hard enough . /s

mxz, absolutely they are not posted anywhere that any reasonable player will see. I have gone looking. I was looking hard enough. These odds need to be posted. They are running a gambling ring without a license (with a %100 vig), and they are not letting anyone know the odds, to boot.

Where was the information that lordsagacity posted from? I have had a hard time finding any information on the game mechanics/odds, and I've been looking since April 2012 when I picked the game up. If I had known that I would not have blown any money on gold for the event. The last time I dropped $5 to get the Devil's Takedown and had gold left over. I kind of figured they might, you know, Reward! (I know, crazy concept) players for spending money.

Every bit of information that I have ever seen has come from players who are testing the system to see what the mechanics are. I thank them for that, but you seem to be implying that funzio/gree have already done that work and we are just too lazy to google for it. Every google search for anything crime city returns me to this forum, or somewhere useless.

last event i got Warmachine for 60 Gold if i remenber and free on camper account, more hard maybe this time ? not sure a lot of player got it for free.. i open maybe 17/18 times per day's.... no luck just patience....

The information, however, is freely available for anyone to look at if they have the right applications (and knowledge of networks). That's why the forum is good - those people that understand it can share their knowledge. I believe both Pawn and I have published the collect-10 odds, so its certainly not impossible to find. Now...some may not believe what we're able to discern, but its the best anyone outside Gree can do and it does appear congruent with players' experience.

Guys I am still opening boxes for this event...is #10 even a possibility at this point? Cash opens of what must be hundreds of boxes by now since #9 over a week ago. I'd really like to use my iPad again and join in on the metal box event, but as I'm upgrading NC's the #10 item is too good to pass up. Already burned all my gold on resets so I'm a free player at this point.

Thoughts? Is this just an effort in collecting more Enhanced Bikes and BLNTs?

7pm... is it three or four days after the event, now? I just got the Evidence Destroyer. I had to give up two or three scratchers and I JUST restarted so I can start the new top25 event... 2 days behind.

I wish my phone could keep CC running as long as BlueStacks.

i really wish i hadnt read the last few pages of this topic. i got all the 'collect 10' items since i've started playing (3 events) without using any gold and opening maybe 6-8 times a day. also i used to get them 1 or 2 days before the event finished. to be fair i thought this event was basically a free cool stat item for everybody. now since i know the true odds im definitely failing to get 10 items in the future events :p
