Advancing Map Question

I know this is a NOOB question but.....

How do you advance the maps? Do every mission? Or is there a trigger? Is it related to your level how far you can go?

It's based on your level.

I don't think I asked this correctly. What I meant was how do you level the maps up? Is that tied to your level? In other words say on the Middle East Map I have the Insurgent Camp at Level 4, how do I get it to Level 5?

Thanks!Click the thing that tells you the name and level of the map. Click Show Jobs and complete all the jobs with a yellow arrow on top to level up the map.
