Looking for some input on the best buildings to buy. And advice for any buildings I should bluntly just git rid of and sell.
First off, I'd like to point out that I favor 3 hour to 12 hour buildings. heavily favor 3 hour buildings.
I collect from my hood at-least 10 times a day, or every three hours.

So here is my info
Level: 45
Income per hour: 38k
Money in my bank: Roughly 8m ($8,000,000)
Mafia class: Goodfella
Been playing for: 2 months
Main focus for the game: Having a large and impressive hood with all the best buildings and a very high IPH

Currently already own all of the 3 hour pay-out buildings up to level 45, and just bought fancy restaurant.

Here is a list of the buildings I currently have. I currently own about 40 money buildings, and I can buy a good deal of gold and have access to money to buy as much gold as I please, just encase that will alter the advice you will give me. If the mansion that costs 500 gold will dramatically help me, I would be able to purchase it.

Electronics store(1) - lvl 3 - 12h pay out
Chicken & waffles(1)- lvl 1 - 6h pay out
Fish store(1) - lvl 4 - 24h pay out
Souvenir store(2) -lvls 6 - 3h pay out
Ice cream Shop(2) - lvls 9 - 3h pay out
Smoke shop(1) - lvl 1 - 8h pay out
Meat factory(1) - lvl 1 - 24h pay out
Loft(1) - lvl 1 - 12h pay out
Sports bar(1) - lvl 1 - 1h pay out
Arcade(1) - lvl 5 - 1h pay out
T-Shirt stand(2) - lvls 4 - 24h pay out
Laundromat(2) - lvls 9 - 4-minute pay out
Tattoo parlor(2) - lvls 4 - 12h pay out
Barber shop(1) - lvl 4 - 8h pay out
Deli(1) - lvl 4 - 8h pay out
Pizza Parlor(1) -lvl7 - [3h pay out
Pawn shop(1) - lvl 8 - 24h pay out
Gunshop (1) - lvl 3 - 48h pay out
Sushi bar(1) - lvl 4 - 3h pay out
Italian Restaurant(1) - lvl 6 - 3h pay out
Diner(1) - lvl 4 - 6h pay out
Gas station(1) - lvl 6 - 6h pay out
Warehouse(2) - lvls 7 & 3 - 48h pay out
Movie theater(2) - lvls 2 - 12h pay out
Collection agency (1) - lvl 1 - 3h pay out
Fancy restaurant(1) - lvl 1 - 3h pay out
Seafood restaurant(1) - lvl 1 - 6h pay out
House(2) - lvls 5 - 24h pay out
Frosty hideout (2) - lvls 3 - 8h pay out

I'm wanting advice on which building to buy next, or what buildings to upgrade that I currently have,,,or both. Keeping in mind that I only have 8m bank, only making $38,000 IPH and Im not trying to break my bank with something like.. a loft upgrade to level 2 that will cost me 1.2m. I am new player who is just learning the ropes and catching on and getting up there with the big dogs and the legitss

So.. which new building?... Magic playhouse? Dominican restaurant? Wholesale warehouse? Comedy club? Or maybe just keep upgrading frosty-hideouts, suiviner stores and movie theatres? or both? those were just ideas of mine. Please help me out my fellow CC friends

Depends on your game timeline and how much you would like to accelerate things with gold. I have sold about 40 income buildings, type Bs that were taking too much hood space to concentrate on defense buildings. Everybody plays differently. You need to find your comfort level/sweet spot. Have a look at my tortoise guide (see link below) and it may give you some ideas.

Problem is that I ave already read it and I already know my timeline and how much gold i want to use and how i want to use it to accelerate my progress :/

Hi,

I wouldn't buy any of the early gold buildings apart from ice cream shops unless you are low level camping.
The first one I would recommend would be the church.
I know you say you like 3 hour buildings but don't over look the Movie theatre & Loft.
A level 10 loft pays out 907k every 12hrs.
I would upgrade ice cream and Italian restaurants while saving for Movie theatre & Loft upgrades.
Also the domican restaurant is a good early 24hr building.

So to sum up,

Upgrade these
Italian restaurant 3hr
Ice cream shop 3hr
Tattoo Parlor 12hr
House 24hr
Barber shop 8hr
T-shirt stand 18hr

While saving for these upgrade's
Movie theatre 12hr
Loft 12hr
Dominican restaurant 24hr
Beachside inn 24hr
Wholesale warehouse 18hr

As you really like 3hr buildings then don't forget your fancy restaurant along the way.
Also your frosty hideout 8hr, I believe is a A type building so should also be well worth upgrading. Smoke shops due to being so small and low gold cost aren't bad either.

There are some members who have made spreadsheets like white frog which you can use. Since you have movie theatres and lofts unlock just dump your money into getting these upgraded. You've managed to get these with lots of your type As in low levels. In my thread I've listed which type As to upgrade in what order while saving for the more expensive MT and loft upgrades. But most of these are still a drop in the bucket if you are looking at a gold accelerated timeline.

First of all, GET THIS (http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?43451-Hood-Planner-Update) and input your buildings. Read the readme and sort by Gain / Day / Upgrade Hr (highest to lowest). It will help you out a lot. READ THIS (http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?33363-ROI-is-dead.-Long-live-GFI) and think about making an extra column in itzkakarot's sheet to sort by that. I use a modifier...but that's a little too advanced for now.

Anyway, a quick rundown:
Focus on
Movie theater(2) - lvls 2 - 12h pay out - get these to 5
Loft(1) - lvl 1 - 12h pay out - then get these to 3
After that, take MT to 6, then loft to 4, then MT to 7 and loft to 5

Upgrade (while saving for MT/Loft upgrades) - this is in semi-order, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend taking them all the way to the suggested level right away.
Frosty hideout (2) - lvls 3 - 8h pay out - take to level 5 or 6
Italian Restaurant(1) - lvl 6 - 3h pay out - take to level 8
T-Shirt stand(2) - lvls 4 - 24h pay out - take to level 6
House(2) - lvls 5 - 24h pay out - take to level 6 or 7
Barber shop(1) - lvl 4 - 8h pay out - take to level 5

Hold - no reason to upgrade, you'll sell them after getting a NC
Fish store(1) - lvl 4 - 24h pay out
Ice cream Shop(2) - lvls 9 - 3h pay out
Collection agency (1) - lvl 1 - 3h pay out
Fancy restaurant(1) - lvl 1 - 3h pay out
Seafood restaurant(1) - lvl 1 - 6h pay out
Smoke shop(1) - lvl 1 - 8h pay out
Meat factory(1) - lvl 1 - 24h pay out
Sushi bar(1) - lvl 4 - 3h pay out

Sell (or hold if you have space, these are decorations)
Electronics store(1) - lvl 3 - 12h pay out
Chicken & waffles(1)- lvl 1 - 6h pay out
Souvenir store(2) -lvls 6 - 3h pay out
Deli(1) - lvl 4 - 8h pay out
Pizza Parlor(1) -lvl7 - [3h pay out
Pawn shop(1) - lvl 8 - 24h pay out
Gunshop (1) - lvl 3 - 48h pay out
Diner(1) - lvl 4 - 6h pay out
Gas station(1) - lvl 6 - 6h pay out
Warehouse(2) - lvls 7 & 3 - 48h pay out
Laundromat(2) - lvls 9 - 4-minute pay out
Tattoo parlor(2) - lvls 4 - 12h pay out
Sports bar(1) - lvl 1 - 1h pay out
Arcade(1) - lvl 5 - 1h pay out

It's just the thing that really gets to me is the fact that many of us, many people like myself, spend a good deal of money on gold. I am personally averaging nearly $100 per paycheck...

I can just spend $5 and play Runescape for a month with no restrictions, and an equal and fair playing field. $5 in crime city doesn't last you 5 minutes. I will not give another dollar to Gree if this is how my "luck" is going to be.

A) Your math sucks

2) You should probably learn about a game before you go dropping $100 per paycheck, which isn't worth a flea's excrement dropping on a dog full of them

D) You're a hypocrite, so just buy Mansions and henchmen to protect your hood

MXZ is the man to go with here. He gave you a great layout and you should thank him dearly. I would do just about everything he said. Don't sell until you absolutely have to though. If you don't need space it still brings you some money. And look at selling before expansion if it would take you forever to earn the expansion costs from the building you would sell. If it takes you 2 months from a building to save for your next expansion I would sell it and just place the building you want there. Warehouse is a great one to get rid of, it's horrible.

I consider it at its maximum size since you really don't need much space. In the end game you only need room for Palms (if you're going to buy them), Casinos, NCs, GCs (if you buy them), Hotels, Office Buildings and maaaaaybe Lofts. Everything else will just take up space at some point.

I would agree with mxz, except for fronties. Get these to level 10 asap. Biggest gain for smallest money invested.

As an additional point; with your 8m, you can take one of your frosties from 3->9. This will add about 27k IPH and take about a week.

You can take 1 loft to level 4, with an income gain of 10k (for goodfella) and take about the same amount of time.

You should thank mxz, most people don't get a custom plan that actually makes since. One thing that gets talked about but not explained in some of the threads is that there are basically two types of buildings: Type A and Type B. What makes them different is how they build on income as they are upgraded. They basically start out at about the same clip, but as they hit level 4 or 5 they dramatically change:

2201
(Graph didn't embed, but is linked, will show exactly how the growth of A vs. B progresses)

Following is a list of Type A Level 1 Buildings:
(didn't have time to create a table, but they are in order of highest per hr income largest to smallest)
Building Base Collect Time
Nightclub $175,000 6
Loft $11,000 12
Haunted Mansion $500 1
Snowman Hideout $4,000 8
Gobble Gobble Buffet $3,800 8
Movie Theater $3,100 12
Empire Theater $450 3
Gingerbread House $100 1
Mansion $850 12
Italian Restaurant $140 3
Techno Club $1,000 24
Ice Cream Shop $95 3
Souvenir Store $60 3
Barbershop $140 8
Diner $100 6
House $360 24
Basketball Court $150 12
Pizza Parlor $30 3
Gas Station $55 6
Tattoo Parlor $105 12
Deli $60 8
Gun Shop $300 48
Laundromat $5 0.83
Pawn Shop $125 24

This doesn't mean that you build/keep buildings based on the above information, it's just to help you see where you might be going. Also, note that some of these buildings are gold or limited edition and may not be available.

Hopefully this will help you see why mxz gave you the advice he did.

My advise is to buy every building above $100,000 and constantly upgrade them... screw the low income buildings, go big or go home. But it does take quite some time to aquire a high iph.... when you get it though, its worth it

The Frosty buildings are great buildings (as Ramshutu pointed out).
I have 3 upgraded to Lvl 10, they generate $990,000(Tycoon/Goodfella) every 8 hrs. Even if I don't collect them 3 times a day, that's decent money.
They are one of the quickest updates to those levels
Starting at Level 1:
(standard values)
$4,000.00
$12,000.00
$24,000.00
$40,000.00
$60,000.00
$88,000.00
$124,000.00
$168,000.00
$220,000.00
$300,000.00

I agree if your end game is a matter of IPH. I was a late reader of "the best of the best" and therfore didnt start my IPH out correctly. Many that start now have a huge advantage if they get to the forums early. So at around level 150 I decided to spend time in hood decoration. I'm pretty happy with my game so far and I'm level 197 now with a fully expanded hood. I would of definetly liked to get to the forums earlier. If I didn't expand I wouldn't have been able to decorate how I wanted and probably quit...lol. I like how my hood looks and am pretty proud of it. For my end game I want to have a great looking hood as part of my final personal goals.

I agree with a couple of others here. First priority is to take your Frosties all the way, as quickly as you can. The "iph increase/cost to upgrade" and "time to upgrade" is superior to loft or movie theater. Ride those ponies to jump start your economy, then focus on the loft, MT, Dominican.

It takes less upgrade time to get to level 10 on the Frosty than it does to get to level 6 on the loft. The upgrade cost is also less (to get to level 10 vs level 6). Yet, Frosties are still superior in payout (level 10 vs. 6) even if you only collect Frosties 2x a day. If you collect 3x it is even merrier!

Build those snowmen! Then focus on lofts and movie theaters...

IMHO :)

He's got $8M in his bank. Going from lvl 3->4 Frosty will greatly increase his IPH and in less time than Laundry 9->10. Plus, he only has to collect it 2-3 times a day vs. a couple hundred times for laundry. The laundry is a great building to get started if you have time to watch over it...

You only need laundromats to wash your henchmens clothes, upgrade the frosties, followed by the lofts and theatres.

It is possible to buy all money buildings in-game except the ones that you really don't need (like Mansion, Crematorium, Warehouse, History Museum, Magic Playhouse, Beach Nightclub), and buy 50 of each of the three small turrets.

I would keep your smallest buildings, as they don't take up a lot of space. And, a level 10 building in your hood is always nice to have.
