Veteran Forum Fighters - for CC Syndicate

Stealing this idea from the prophet McDoc on the MW side. When factions came out for MW a lot of forumites where wondering if they could join up with other forumites who they'd come to know/love/respect.

Basically, teams are about 30-50 people. The teams are set up to compete in PVP events and the World Domination event. Along the way you donate $$ and resources to buy bonuses (health regeneration for bosses, building output bonuses for extra $$, etc..). We'd need to get a basic count of who would be interested in the being in such groups and where they saw themselves. We can all discuss a different name, so as not to rip off their thing. We'd also want to take stock of who wants to be leaders (it's not a cakewalk...people have different agendas, they're happy, they're sad, they're whiners and always want stuff ;)).

What VFF did was break out into 4 groups of active players (VFF Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta - aka REG) and 3 LLP/camper factions which had different directives of active->camper (Rangers' LLP faction, VFF Lima and VFF Camps & Tramps). These all fall under the VFF flag and coordinate on a macro scale together and a micro scale within their own faction. This is just a model that's been beta tested and we've got a pretty good handle on some of the kinks.

So...who would be interested in something similar and what type of account would you be putting up (active HLP / Camping HLP / LLP / LLP camper)?

They're better organized than most, and share internal knowledge so it's a big leg up compared to individual groups. Of course, groups like CK and the Indians will figure things out quickly and already have an organizational structure in place. To close the gap a little, random forum groups can band together to share info within the group without having to post strategies and tips publicly.

If it works like MW, here's an intro on factions/syndicates:

The basic purpose is to group together to get bonuses for various things (health regeneration to help with bosses, building output bonuses for IPH boost, unit bonuses, etc..).

You can also earn units through PVP Tournaments and World Domination events. PVP tournament prizes are not bracketed, but you still fight within your normal brackets.

World Domination events are 24 hours, I think, and are bracketed by attack power, not level. When the event starts, someone in a faction declares the faction ready for war and they're matched up with another faction. The event inner workings are complicated, but essentially there's a defense leader - who is the first one who the opposing faction attacks. Once they're brought down, the members fight against each other. More wins = more points. More points = war win. Most war wins/points = winner of the event.

Other fun things - there's an in game forum where people can post stuff. It's a bit crude, clunky and doesn't work real time, but it works without having to exit the app, so you don't have to close out.

With the incoming update for Crime City, a planning group has been founded to help with the coordination of Forum based Syndicates, much as the Modern War forumites did with the Veteran Forum Fighters (VFF). Our first priority is understanding what forum teams are forming and if they're interested in being part of the collective forum-based group to (A) share intelligence and strategies (B) lend mutual support and (C) foster a greater forum community.

Ideally, there would be one large forum-based faction. In reality, there are too many forumites with differing priorities. As such, multiple Syndicates will be inevitable. The idea is to ensure all contributing / senior forumites have a home with people they know and respect, with leadership they trust.

As we learned from MW Factions - there should be a faction for Low Level Players (LLPs) and Campers. The difference being that the LLP will have their own faction which can compete in the event and a Camper faction which exists ONLY for bonuses and will not participate in PvP or Battle events (so as to minimize XP gains).

Any questions can be posted here. Right now we're still looking at the interest level to determine how to do recruiting and what requirements should be set up. These will most likely vary by leader. In the interest of prospective leaders (Plux, Dr. B, etc..), no ones trying to take away your groups - just looking to build together.

At this time we do not know when this feature will be released. In the mean time, please continue showing interest in this idea publicly. Since this idea doesn't work if you're not having fun - if you have special requests for friends you'd like to be in a Syndicate with, you should both/all post that wherever you've posted your stats. If don't already have access to the "group" page, contact Ericinico via PM.

We've got a master file of interested folks and are sizing up what requirements should be based on the stats of the recruitment pool. If we have 40 people interested about 100k/100k, the requirements will be higher.

I'd like to see you in Alpha as well but either way glad you're a part of the group! You provide a ton of help on the forums and I can only assume your commitment to this group will be the same! On a side note do we have any idea when this whole thing will start? I bring in about 20 mil a day and plan to give most of it to the cause but I really want to upgrade my NCs as it will help in the long run. I have the 30% reduction in upgrade cost so I will save over 100 mil on the next upgrade but I just want to drop a ton on day one. What do you all think? We talking weeks or months? I have 370+ million banked right now.

I used to be active on forum but drifted awy about 6 mos ago. Factions in MW have rekindled my interest in the games. Definitely want to be active in a syndicate. Gold and participation is what matters in faction battles, but so do stats. IPH is very important for buying bonuses and extra members, which is a key element to strong faction/syndicate. I am intersted in joing a syndicate of very strong mid level players. In MW my faction averages lvl 70-90, yet has finished in the top 50 of every aspect of the game. Lots of bonuses and big time units have been acrued.
