I've seen strange in-game names around. From really nice & cool ones, superheroes, ordinary to explicit names.

Me, Kings/Leaders have always fascinated me (Good & bad ways). Perhaps "Civilization" game has also influenced me (One of my favorite games to play), wherein I either use King Mark or President Mark as my name LOL!

I'm sure you guys have some good, funny or weird explanation to your names. So what's your story behind your in-game/forum names in CC?

My name is Sunsets because I've literally been obsessed with them since I was a kid.

I remember just sitting outside and watching the gorgeous sunset behind the mountains growing up. I remember walking the beach beneath the sunset, enjoying the company of good friends. I remember playing the very first love song that I ever wrote on guitar to the girl of my dreams - underneath that exact same sunset.

So when it comes to my obsession with sunsets, I guess you could say that I honestly do love them - both for their natural beauty, and for the beautiful memories that they bring back to me.

My game name and forum name are both Chuck Nuts. My 2yr old daughter cannot remember how to say chipmunk or squirrel, but for some reason she started calling them "chucknuts" whenever she sees one because she remembers that they eat nuts.

My in-game name is AppleMacGuy cos I've always been an Apple Mac Guy :p

My forum name used to also be AppleMacGuy until I got a perm ban due to a gross over-reaction by the admins (well documented elsewhere) and despite months of trying they won't unban me, so I quit buying gold over 3 months ago now...but Gree really don't give a fig :mad:

Eventually TheLastResort was born...I will rarely post now though...I think the new name is self-explantory :(

Way back in around 1999, I started a game called Everquest with a Half elf ranger Character, called Ramshu on my sisters account.

After a while, I got my own account, and started three new characters. Ramshutu (get it!), Snuggles the Troll with a heart of Gold, and a bum like a barell of lard; and Gumberry the female gnome rogue, who generally dressed like a scene from fifty shades of Gray. Intentionally so, as when the lonely men stole glances, the rogue would steal their wallet.

Ramshutu Rakshasa (the second name chosen out of homage to one of the alien ships in Freespace 2), ended up being one of the better rangers on the server (asside from living on US time for 2 years, and spending $14.99 a month, no cash was invested).

Unfortunatley, I have no pictures, but I looked pretty much like this:

The color scheme was chosen to detract away from the really ultra stupid hat that I had to wear because it has awesome stats, and let you see in the dark.

All in all, there low point was having to kill a giant to give his head to a dragon, then killing the dragon to give is head to a giant. In order for either side to like you enough, you had to kill 1034541230 of the opposing side. The high point was running around one of the maps with 123512301 of the creatures chasing after you, and see the noobs look at you in awe as you destroyed them all by yourself.

Unfortunatley, I cannot find any pictures, as this was at the very least 4 PC's ago, although I may have some pictures on a dusty hard-drive in a caddy somewhere.

I sold the character for $800 many years ago. And quit partly because 3 hours of sleep a night was getting a bit old, and mostly because most of what you did in game was either staring at a wall or a lizards butt all day, or sitting here and killing one mushroom every 10 minutes for 11 hours a day.

So, I quit; however I am still friends with a lot of people I used to play with (mainly as one of them owns a private island, and one owns a pub). And as I spent a significant period with more people knowing the name "Ramshutu" than my real name, I decided to stick with it.
