Loose meat sandwiches?

Those are the best. I'm very careful to not "place" the meat in there. The more random the sandwich, the better it is. By the same token, I don't spread my mayo or mustard with a knife. Sometimes I make a happy face with the mustard. And never, ever cut your sandwich. Otherwise it becomes a premeditated sandwich and loses it's appeal.

But I like sandwiche with jalapeņo, a lot of them, and watch other people eating it....

No, I still talk to him pretty frequently. He's just over the game. Then he left the forum when it got overrun by trolls. It was pretty bad there for a while.

For a while I had a couple of Pawn Shops in between two Collection Agencies, but that was just too sad.

As far as portable food though, nothing beats a Tamale- When you're finished you just throw the container (corn husk) away and it's not even littering.

You must be from the Southwest. Im from AZ but in OH now and havent heard that word uttered in the 4-5 years since i arrived. Dont think mid-westerners even know what a tamale is.

True Sonoran Hot Dogs have TWO bacon-wrapped hot dogs per bun, whole roasted green chiles right in there, and lots of jalapenos....

From Wikipedia:

The Sonoran-style or Estilo Sonora hot dog, found in Tucson, Metro Phoenix, and in neighboring Sonora, Mexico, is a hot dog wrapped in mesquite-smoked bacon then cooked on a grill or on a griddle or comal,[2] then topped with beans, grilled onions, fresh onions, tomatoes, mayonnaise, cream sauce, mustard and Jalapeno salsa or sauce and served on bread and often with a side fresh-roasted chili. It originated in Hermosillo, the capital of Sonora.

I wouldn't advise eating Menudo, unless of course you don't mind a little Ricky Martin stuck in your teeth.

I'm surprised that you didn't get torn to shreds asking that in this thread.

@everyone in this thread... you are obviously letting your standards drop.

@peteyt - 10 posts mate. Then you can start a thread.

If you're ever in Philly, go to the Reading Terminal Market, 12th & Arch. About the best food you'll ever find, so much to choose from, it can be overwhelming.

Why do you Brits reference your sauce by it's colour?

Its ketchup (or catsup for the purists), NOT red sauce.

Thats a Southern thing. In the North we refer to it as ketchup or HP.

What separates north from south? The people on Corrie call it red sauce & brown sauce.

Thats just so that the Southerners know what they mean I guess. I'm from Manchester. And everyone I know called it ketchup (or some call it tomato sauce) or HP sauce. Mainly, because thats what they are called.

Rather than naming a sauce by its colour.

For example... what would you call gravy? Brown sauce. Then what if you got HP sauce with your Sunday Roast instead? Cos by using the colour method brown sauce is also HP sauce. No. That just wont do. A sauce can not be named after its colour.

Actually... HP sauce is a "brand".

So maybe the correct name for what we are calling HP sauce IS brown sauce!
