..what game are we playing?

Because apparently, I'm playing the wrong way?

I'm receiving comments on my board "**** you", people talking about finding players stronger than me to "send me a message" and then the best "who continues to raid the same people, that's stupid"...

Are you kidding me?

I'm only getting stronger...every stamina refill that I play is earning me enough for 5 dragons. ~5/hr , not bad? And, these people are going over vault with only basilisks or sometimes not even...or they aren't even 70k atk/def AND, I'm the bad guy? I hit over vault players. A lot. I raid. A lot. Isn't that the point of the game?

Is anyone else experiencing this sorta behavior from crybaby players?

LOL. Touche.

I guess it could be construed as whining myself, but I guess I should just ask the simple question; what makes me the bad guy in a game that involves building an army?

I guess people expect a certain level of etiquette. Take the RK's for example. I've have a many of them take a good amount of gold from me but they will always ally afterwards. I think they understand weaker players should be allowed to enjoy playing the game too.

Some comments, not too bad. I over vault and get hit some. Glad I got my level 10 BD. was worried I would not make it. It's a game and I find it funny that some take it so seriously.

Here's my thoughts on the etiquette...would someone return the favor?
I say nay. What's even ruder would be to hit someone for 6 figures and then offer them an alliance? HA, what a kick in the pants. Besides, they could always offer their code to you on your wall, if they don't, then they don't care enough.

===========

I always scope for their level of BD.

7 = making that first run, typically low atk/def...over vault = easy target

8 = maybe a hydra army (like I had), getting stronger, their over vault is always so damn tempting

9 = great over vault to find, why? they are a threat when it comes to gameplay, they are 1 step closer to being a formidable opponent...continuing to hammer them ensures that numero uno stays higher up on the superiority ladder

10 = typically might as well forget about it, worthy adversary and better to ally with for the long run

I typically don't hit the same people more than a couple times even if they are way over vault. It's just my personal preference, and I do get comments and most are civil. But if they are disrespectful or cursing on my wall I will make sure to level their kingdom any chance I get

If a rival is at lv. 90 with 30k stats, that's their own fault. I hate having to go through a bunch of rivals who are at a high level, but ridiculously low stats & iph. I slay the sh it of out of them if I can. Sorry, maybe I'm not a nice guy (nice guys finish last ;)) , but they put themselves in that position, not me. And I HATE searching through an hour's worth of rivals because they are level 95 with an iph. of $2-$3k & no Manors. There should be certain prerequisites to advance past certain levels (i.e. 2 Manors before you can get to level 90, or at least $5-$6k iph., or 50k A/D & etc...). My 2 cents.

I do mostly the same, i write names down of people that are going overvault and take note if it is for BD8, 9, or 10; but I don't find them often. If they are silly enough to attack me back and go onto my news feed, they are now feeding my dragon army... one step further, if you write on my wall threatening me that I should join you and post your number after you successfully raided my cottage, and you are getting weaker by comparison by the day, you are going down, I will learn your timing and loot your buildings before you have a chance...

oh big thing that i do now, I typically don't add people that I have raided even if they post their number on my wall, I have over 500 ally's and it is hard to find targets. If they ask nicely, and make their case, I will typically add them, but not just because they put their number on the wall

Jonny, in answer to your original question. I'm getting the picture that unlike most players you show no mercy and smash people relentlessly over and over. These people get annoyed and post messages on your wall. So instead of being surprised perhaps you should expect to receive these messages?

I only turned this way once I got Dragons. I worked hard for 'em and now they're gonna shine. I shouldn't feel bad or show mercy to people who drudge along in this game and aren't working towards a goal.

But, yes. I'm guessing that I should start to expect this sorta thing. But, I wouldn't say I'm unlike most players. Some, yes. But most? No.

you're totaly right ! that's the game !

i've just stopped to upgrade my money buildings to upgrade my BD to 10 because at level 65 with 66k def., it becomes to low to save quitly a lot of unvaulted gold (like 3M. to upgrade manors to 6 or gold mines to 10).

my next goal is to reach 100k def. with a dragon army to upgrade again my money buildings peacefully...

(level 65, IPH 18k)

I can agree with most of whats been said here. Sitting at level 69, 80% of players on my list (even when i keep refreshing it) have low ally counts and their stats are also low with crap IPH.

I prefer to be a player of honour and integrity, and only attack a player a few times then move on. But it is hard when most players that I see on my battle list even after refreshing it, are players trying to hide with low ally counts and crappy stats with low IPH. Not much you can do in avoiding hitting players like that. I always ally if they surrender and make an offer of an alliance without being disrespectful.

What people need to realise is that it's a game. If you can't cut it with the top players around you, it's simple, get a better game strategy or get beat all the time and just suck it up. The LTQE are a reason why you need to change your strategy and build your stats up otherwise you'll be fodder for players looking at completing these events which force you to smash up players in PvP.

Gez though, I laugh all the time at players trying to hide by lowering their ally count to go for BD upgrade runs. It simply doesn't work as I can see them all the way down the ladder.

I raid like a fiend, waiting based on IPH to build dragon army takes forever and requires you to be on the game all the time. I can easily clear 200-250k raiding and doing so in a limited time frame. My policy is i attack whoever presents an opportunity, however i accept any ally request so if they ask to ally that will stop by attack

Johny, I got this all the time, just delete the posts and go on. I went out hunting only once in a week and still my wall is full of these messages.

I have >62k attack (275 allies) even without dragons, hydras or whatsever. I wonder what will hapen when I decide to upgrade BD...

What's the normal attack/defense density with the new stats? Prior the change I was with ~180 per ally, now I don't know what is the considered good ally/attack ratio.

I believe the unit revamp made unit stats average about 150% what they were previously.

True, but you have buildings bonus and weapons that were not changed, so it is hard to re-calculate this.

I've started getting bitter comments, too, in the last week or so. Someone who I just raided called me a loser. Which makes me lol. Really? *I* am a loser? Do you know the meaning of that word, person I just defeated? lmao.

Anyway, I don't want to be one of those people who sucks the fun out of the game for other players who just aren't as strong as I am at the moment by never letting them get anywhere. When I raid, I level one building only. When I find someone weaker than me over the vault limit, I hit them usually around 5 times (which gets me nearly 50k obviously). I know it's possible for me to take everything over their vault but I don't want to feel like a bully* and make the game no fun any more for someone else. After all, we all need them to keep playing the game so we can keep pillaging them. :P

*When I say doing that would make me feel like a bully, by that I do not accuse anyone who does attack over and over and over until the other player is down to 330k of being a bully. I'm saying I personally would feel like one if I did it is all. This is just the gameplay I choose for myself.

Yep, this is how I do it... No way I'm waiting for my iph. to do the complete job! Not when it takes months to get a double digit iph. (excluding Cottages & such as they skew the iph. system).

I posted my ID on my wall long ago, and pretty much accept every invite. If they're too dumb to read it and send me a request - not my fault. If they curse me out, they're dead meat - they showed me their lack of character and deserve to be run out of the game to spare others from being cursed out.

The strong will always eclipse the weak - remember this. When rivals whine to me about attacking them, it empowers me to smash them even harder. When they open their lame cry-baby mouth....I simply shove my fist in it. This is a cruel world and harsh life, its dog eat dog and the food chain must be respected.

The more they cry, the more I pummel them - and sometimes whilst I'm doing this and tapping the attack button...I roar like a lion. You should do the same.
