Edit: wow what a surprise... exactly the same results as the last boss. There is nothing random about the drop rate. Now i have to figure out why I'm getting such crappy results, and not do that.

That could well be the case here, and there are three parts involved turning know the boss event. It has been the case in general on cc that the update precedes the event going live.

Android is not currently pushing new data set, Please don't attempt to trigger the boss until you have the new data set loaded. I have noticed this can take a while and CC android will ask you to restart the app with new data. You will have to do this before you can trigger an Android Boss. I have the same issue on Modern War.

Yes, it will restore your health, so you can basically get an extra 5 free hits.

I'd agree, but can't see it happening. Those players who have spent huge sums would not be pleased if gold suddenly got chopped 80% in price. They'd be wheeling out the lawyers to get their cash back.

The problem is not that gold is overpriced, but that benefit gained from spending gold doesn't scale with the gold spent. Most events at the moment require you to spend a lot of gold to get any significant reward.

From my experience, you can see this in the game with people's stats. There is a double bell curve, with free and low level spenders at the big bump, and a second bump with threshold gold spenders, that consistently spend enough to win big ticket items.

Boss 28 is pretty high up to still be attacking her without medpacks.. There's a guide somewhere by The Billionaire with really good estimates on the boss' HP levels throughout the different level brackets.. I don't have it bookmarked atm though, but I'll try to dig it up if nobody else does before me..

nope i didn't and it last 3 days and i didn't get the goal to beat 40 during any of those days. if i had of waited then i wouldn't have been able to play the game when it was up the first time.

UPDATE: 10 wins, 2 U and 8 C (sucks) not any rares yet. Found it's much easier to walk away from game for at least 5-10 minutes then attack someone new or rob to trigger next boss round rather than pound away or rob away all at once.

I had this event earlier on my phone,now that it started again I'm at 22lvl boss,but on the goals list it's only 3of40,so even if I reach 40lvl. It will only be 21 of 40 so I do not have a chance to win grand prize? :/

You can text with siri and drag down info screen but try it before it matters so you can get used to it. OT is a must respect, I got it on my I pad last night and 9 on phone this morning. There is no certain level for boss events. And you and I tied for the commons except i got 1 uncommon. :D Good luck.

How often do these boss events come around?

I've been playing less than two weeks (9 days on this account) and made what appears to be a grave error of leveling too fast. Since I started playing, there has been one event or another going on. Is that typical or just Gree capitalizing on a lot of people taking time off at Christmas?

I'm not looking to pay for gold, and during the last Lotus event, I leveled like 10 times, since it was the only way to beat the higher bosses without paying for health packs. (Then i leveled a bunch more times during the snowball event, trying to get as many fights under my belt as possible).

I must be one of the weakest L47s out there, since I have very few special weapons (most of my gear is from PvP attacks). I typically have to spend 15 minutes looking through rivals to find one i can beat, and even then a lot of them are close, and i might only win 50% of my fights against them.

My thought was to camp out for a while at this level, and let my money catch up with my fights, and maybe purchase some gear and collect the freebies from daily scratchers etc to get stronger--but I hate missing an event if they are rare. (It started me at Lotus 28 this time, and it took everything I had plus a level-up to beat her--so there is no way I'm getting 40 bosses at this strength).

They are not that rare, boss about every 2 - 3 weeks. And other events in between. I would camp, maybe hit a boss a few times for chances at rares, but seems like you need to take some time to build economy and just get your feet settled.

Shoot for a goal of about 15-20k a/d to get started, and a IPH of around 100k. This should make a good base to build off of.

I think I was the last one to get the Snowman/Scrooge Event, but at one point while madly checking I noticed that somehow there was $900,000 that suddenly appeared in my in-game wallet. I don't know if the Gree people read these Forums, but Thanks/I already spent it.

Second,.... The Full Moonlight on the Snow outside is incredible! Amazing..... I might not have noticed if the game was working. Thanks for that too, Gree!

Camp. The boss events are a great way to get good items but stop all other play for a while. Bosses are like 1 a week or so. Your thoughts are correct so far, good luck

Bills guide is simply that a guide. They are as close as he could get with the data that he had.
I noticed this when I was in the second tier that some I had to hit more then what was stated

That points are a reference, not fixed in every boss event.

To kill boss at level 16 I needed 532400 points (32400 more than expected, 10 hits)

what boss do you think you are finishing at i always finish one behind you when you don't use gold. im at 17 and its looking a lil tougher than usual

I'll probably get 20 or 21. It was easier than usual at first, but I had 11 snowballs at the beginning. Someone with a really funked up looking inventory cleaned out most of them today though, and I didn't have a chance to finish the boss yet, so that probably cost me one boss.

The fact that I'm also finding it difficult to give a f about this game right now might also cost me a boss. We'll see.

You started before you got the splash screen. Known problem. Submit your screenshot to support via a ticket and they'll have to manually add it to your inventory.

Ditto with me but at 16. Between losing the snowballs to get me to 20 and the huge amount of commons.

I wonder if this is another Gree marketing analysis game. In other words if you are only getting boatloads of C will you still spend Gold if you normally do on these BOSS events or will you not. I'm pretty sure the two consecutive weekly games that everyone complained about were Gree's way of doing an analysis.

The one where Dravak was in the Top 5 with everyone using cash complaining how the game sucked. That game session determined how many players would drop gold to achieve prizes that were somewhat reasonable. The next game even Dravak et al did not participate except TAM. That game helped Gree figure out the "floor" where they found out how many devoted players with more $ than sense would play. They have to be using such events to gauge true P/L. Same with the one time only 40% discount which would either validate players' claims that if they lowered the gold prices more buying/participation. The next couple of months will determine if Gree makes adjustments or just pisses off players and eventually pisses away a money maker.

Edit 1:
The event is riddled with bugs. I already have seen 2 and I'm not even done the 3rd boss. The reward on level 1 refused to show so I'm clueless to what I got and now, on level 3, the screen went black after I defeated her. No reward popped up, her health bar kept going from full to empty, no reward screen and then my phone crashed.

Edit 2:
This event is terrible. I've crashed about 10 times, for 4/5 fights, the whole screen has gone black. It's constantly freezing up and crashing when I try to attack.

If a vault of Gold was reasonably priced, I would have spent way more than what I'm spending right now (or have spent in past). $99 is wayyyyy too much money to throw on a game "at a time" ... i'm sure, most of GREE members fall in that same bucket. Gree seems to be targeting the high spenders when they should know what % is high spenders and what % is mid spenders. I can guarantee blind folded, the high spenders wont be more than 10% of the overall GREE membership. So they wish to target only those 10% in a hope that more mid spenders will jump into that bucket .. they are ignoring a HUGE chunk of mid-spenders.

If a vault of gold was just $20 (which is still a bit too much considering you need hundreds of vaults of gold if you play the game with full dedication), I would have spent way more than what I have spent so far. But that's all just my opinion .. anyway .. I'm happy that a vault of gold costs $100 .. scares me and saves me my hard earned money lol

^^Agreed, after these past couple events, I realize the spending "a little" gold will get you pretty much nowhere. You either stay a free player or spend a lot in order to see the difference. I'm going back to "free"....

Valid points, although why should we spend a single cent when the customer is not being protected? Theirs enough complaints on here re hacks/cheats and greed is obviously doing nothing about it. I've spent real dollars on this game not big, more mid to low level, my experience with greed/funzio has been poor, their actions show a simple fact, drain us for as much as they can for little to no investment from their end!

i'm near 20 hits for free but i got snowball from last event pvp.... before max is 17 or 18 dunno i don't fight and stay on computer.. that tired me or i sleep :D

anyway i think i can beat him 25 times for free and after Gold, but too much that sure yeah.. i don't make.. why they don't decrease the power of boss.. it's impossible.. 1 hit with gold ok but more 20 is not possible..

Anyway, Gree purchase goes through your card on file at another company. Has Gree been sneaky absolutely, but allowing fraud and theft at Apple and Goggle would be beyond stupid. People are not using stolen credit cards, just poor judgement on spending if they can't afford the purchase.

Gree, this is bogus. New players just starting out have absolutely no problem completing a boss event and earning the grand prize for free, while the most dedicated players who have been playing for well over a year struggle to make it half way.

Get your heads checked. This is exactly the type of thing that drives people to quit your games.
