the Empty stocking, my xmas gift to all of you!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS
last night I watched a 1947 movie with my parents, yes it was in black and white, and for those that are old enough was the Bishop's wife with Cary Grant and David Niven
I had never seen it before, but have to admit I love it as much as the "it's a wonderful life" and "miracle on 34th street" movies

at the end of the movie there is the short story of an empty stocking and I want to share it with all of you, my Forum Family
let us remember the importance of this date

THE EMPTY STOCKING:

“Tonight I want to tell you the story of the empty stocking.
Once upon a time on midnight clear there was a Child's cry,
a blazing star hung over a stable and
wise men came with birthday gifts.
We haven't forgotten that night down through the centuries,
We celebrate it with stars hung on the Christmas tree
and the cry of bells and gifts.
Especially with gifts.
We buy them and wrap them and put them under the tree.
You give a tie; I give you a book,
Cousin Martha always wanted an orange squeezer
and Uncle Harry could use a new pipe.
Oh we forget no one, adult or child.
All the stockings are full - all, that is, but one.*
We have even forgotten to hang it up.
A stocking for the Christ child born in the manger.*
It's his birthday we're celebrating - let's not forget that.
Let's ask ourselves what He would wish for most,
then let each of us put in our share:*
Loving Kindness, Warm Hearts, a Forgiving Spirit,
a Generous Life - all shining gifts which make up
God's Peace On Earth."*

I wish you ALL from the bottom of my heart a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS in the company of family and friends, share the story if you with, but most important cherish every moment with your loved ones
God bless!!!

FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!!!!!!!

Me tooooooo. Made me almost cry.
I've wanted to get a birthday cake for Jesus. It would say happy birthday Jesus and have a star on there too. No candles though or 1 maybe. It would be white cake, white center and white frosting.
He's so special and precious.
Truly Merry Christmas to everyone. So very much.

1- no religious talk on the forums.
2- who cares!
3- that story has touched me!
MerryChristmas!

Edit: the "who cares" part refers to number one. Realized it might confuse some.

I also watched a wonderful Christmas film with my father last night. It's not as old as the one Spectra mentions as its from 1988 and also not in black & white as we have the digitally remastered HD version.

Anyway this is my favourite Xmas film of all time which is about the heartwarming tale of a man trying to win back the love of his life and the name of this film is Die Hard.

The morale of the film is that thieves will get killed or maybe it's about not forgetting your shoes? Whatever it was it doesn't matter now so Merry Xmas to you all!!

Lol. My wife wanted to watch a Christmas movie last night, so I looked on IMDB for a good Christmas movie, and that popped up. She wasn't buying it...... ;)

I'm not trying to start anything but want to mention that Christianity and God are not religion. Everything else is. The reason is that religion is man made man trying to get to heaven and Jesus is just another person you have a relationship with. Not religion. He's just a person to have a relationship with. I find it very sad that most of the world thinks anything related to spirit and heaven is religion when God is just another person.

Anyway that's not meant to start a fight.

Take care
