New LTQ Event: Help the Keeper

This one looks rough.

1k+ unit reward.

It's a combination boss event/LTQ.

From what little I was able to find, it looks like just one quest, beat on the boss until he randomly drops 9 different reindeer. Seeing as how a lot of the high levels can only do nine bosses, I hope the drop rate is quite high or there will be a lot of whining.

Edit: looks like 9 individual units with three individual rares. Maybe they won't repeat. Lol, you know they will. Let the whining commence.

I got the splash screen and quests in my log, but this Frost Miser isn't showing up on the map he's supposed to be on. Perhaps he melted.

You'd have to be pretty lucky to get all 9 different boss drops. I don't think I've ever gotten 9 different drops from a single boss event even after beating 30 levels.

It's a boss event like normal; in addition, if you manage to get EACH loot item available from the boss, you get the LTQ item as well. I blame this LTQ on those who wanted a Christmas themed event. Well, they gave us one, and it righteously sucks.

I killed the Minotaur on the crossroads map again and after that the event starts to operate normally.

Won't be no Xmas gift for my HLP though as he won't even get to 9 bosses.....

As for my LLP and anyone else who has the Minotaur appearing. You might ave to kill it to get the event to operate correctly.

Just be patient, it had nothing to do with the Minotaur, more the time it took you to kill it. I waited three minutes to get my boss to pop. There's no hurry, you'll be as far as you can get in 2 days anyway.

This is going to be horribly difficult. I don't recall ever getting every single loot item. They would need to reduce the boss strength by 60% to give most of us enough chances to get all 9 reindeer (unless you're really lucky). What a bummer for a Christmas event :(

Took a lot of PvE action before the epic boss showed up but he did. First go at him netted me one of the better reindeer - Vixen. Since got a Comet and 3 Cupids. Been using only free hits so need to wait a bit for my health to replenish before trying for more. I think this one is pretty fun, actually. I doubt I'll get the fully array of reindeer but it's fun to try as long as I don't have high expectations. Though I've never gotten through 20 Levels of Epic Boss. I miss when you got a prize for 15 - that was MUCH more doable!

Go into your account then exit repeatedly until you see the quest. It pops up eventually.

You need to explain better your problem. What boss are you at? You got full health? Check your quest. The details are there.

Gee wiz i cant even get mine to work at all !! i got the first splash screen 4 hours ago and have been trying to open it since ! i have turned it off restarted it..nothing, i have opened it left it on the main screen for 10 mins ..nothing i tried knocking off a few PVE @ crossroads.. nothing even tried some PVP ... same nothing...any ideas ?? am at work so deleting icon and trying to reload it wont work . Go to menu -> more -> about , what data set are you running? It shoukd say ka20121220_0 build 140. If not, keep restarting.

Hammer, the LTQ is the boss event. Just attack the different level bosses.

There is no "boss" at the crossroads. It's just a normal boss event with a horrible twist. And idk what your stats look like but even one day would be enough for most people here to get as far as they can.

Treat it as a normal boss event. He's not going to be running around. Just PvE and he will trigger.

Finally figured it out. Gez I wish they would just advertise it as an extra to the Boss event and explain that is the boss that you have to defeat to recieve the reindeers. A simple explanation would have solved it.

Commons will be received during levels 1-15. Uncommons between 16-34. Rares will be received between 35-50. This is how they will try to force us to play for boss 50.

It is a normal Boss event with an extra bonus event. The bonus event has a special Christmas flavor.

When the first Boss event happened, everybody was happy.
Now we have a Boss2.0 event, and there is whining all over the place.

Thanks Johnny. This event is really strange for me. When you have 8 of the deers consisting of the 3 rares, 2 uncommons and 3 commons, you actually want an uncommon unit instead of a rare to get the 9th deer which is an uncommon unit for me. What a weird experience.

Mega hit is 4xRaw Attack, I think. Good for when you are at very high boss levels and when you are low in cash and when each hit costs a bundle of gold and when you are short on time.

Make sure you have the quests in your quest list. Then either Pvp or Pve. If you Pve, go to a low level map, and keep whacking and destroying the monsters, the boss will come. And Merry XMas Vile Lynn.

It's a combination boss event/LTQ.

From what little I was able to find, it looks like just one quest, beat on the boss until he randomly drops 9 different reindeer. Seeing as how a lot of the high levels can only do nine bosses, I hope the drop rate is quite high or there will be a lot of whining.

Edit: looks like 9 individual units with three individual rares. Maybe they won't repeat. Lol, you know they will. Let the whining commence.

I started strong - a Vixen on my very first boss kill. But after 9 Frost Miser kills, I still only have 4 different reindeer. I need better luck than that as I won't have but about 16 total bosses I can afford to kill. Although I'm reading now that the bosses have fewer hit points so maybe I'll try for 20 bosses, even if the 20-boss reward isn't so hot. But only if I'm close to having all 9 reindeer by then.

What level are you? I think the boss event starts at level 6? 10? If you are below that it will not trigger. If above that try PVP instead of PVE. Sometimes that works

LTQ in Modern Quest is even more tougher. You have to mix all 8 reindeers by fusing or buy the high stats reindeer in expensive value with your in game gold & you will get Rudolph...

When doing these boss events do you only take the units to battle based on your alliance amount or can you stock up on extra units to aid yourself?

Thanks for the info. Is there a thread somewhere that lists max allies based upon level?

Max ally at your level is your level multiply by 5. eg. L70, max ally is 70x5=350 allies.
350 allies means 350x3=1,050 units you can bring to battle, 1,050 weapons, 1,050 armor you can bring to battle.

I got number 8 on my 11th kill. Each Miser has cost me a single goblin kill (5 energy) at the Crossroads, but sometimes it takes 20 seconds or so to send the epic mob splashscreen.

I'm level 66, but only have a level 8 breeding den, so the dragons are a long way off with my 8k/h income.

I'm currently doing just under 46K per gold hit and haven't had to use gems yet, but that'll change in the next couple.

Thanks Gambit. Don't give up on yours. I got impatient during my Ally-ing campaign and went after 13th boss and got Blitzen! It took 12 gold hits. Only Donner left. I've been reeeeeeaaallly lucky that I'm on 14th and only need one more reindeer. Although Donner could prove to be most elusive. I'm just 23 short of full allies for level 75 so I hope 14th boss will be very kind.

Level 31 finished. Still missing one rare little reindeer. On the bright side the 26-50 bracket is easily beatable with dragons. I only have 200 or so but beat boss 30 with only one cure potion. If I ha waited until I had 750 of them I probably could have went to 35 or further before cure potions. Good reason to camp on level 50 or your bd10!

Got from boss 22-30 and didn't get my last deer Rudolph :-( if I went for some more bosses after lvl 30 is it a better chance off getting rares???

After receiving the Keeper, I've surpassed 100,000 attack and defence stats!
In my opinion, this has been the best and most worth while boss event in KA history.

Woohoo! Got the keeper at boss 29!

Was stuck missing dancer from boss 18 to now. Spent 200 gems from lvl 23 to 29. Was going to give up once i got to 30. What a relief

After boss 19, I still needed 3 more. The next 3 bosses luckily each gave me the ones I needed, so I got the keeper after boss 22. Spent 60 gems on the last few. Well worth it though.

i already collected 8 once reached Boss Level 20 and i was only missing the Vixen rare one.
after reaching level 30, i still on that same place and that is the maximum i will reach.
so no keeper for me but at least i got 5 rares which is much higher than i usually get...
let hope that the box event will be better then the last few...

Had the same bad luck as well, though I have been missing Donner since boss 13. I'm stopping at boss 30 as well as I've used up my gems.

Whew, 37 bosses, 150 gems, and 1 level up and finally Dancer's heart melted and decided to join the cause . That's the only thing missing since boss 19. In the end, I got 1 Donner 2 Vixens and 3 Rudolph, pretty nice. Good luck for everyone still trying to get the Keeper.

I'm a level 105 with 96k attack (250 dragons). On the 24th boss, I needed about 30 cure potions and spent gold on each attack (each hit at 89k damage) to kill him. How are you beating boss 30 with 1 cure potion? Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Since you're in the 101+ bracket it is extremely hard. Did you really spend 300 gems on the 24th boss?

I feel ya. Being in the 100+ bracket I also find it absolutely impossible to kill any more bosses without spending ridiculous amounts of money.

At least 30 cure potions ... Boss had several million health. Took like 15-20 minutes of solid hacking away to bring him down. Only missing Vixen but can't go through that exercise again. Officially giving up here :(

My stats are the exact same after winning the 20 unit (ridiculous "luck" -17 common, 2 rare, 1 uncommon - 10 Cupids, suffice to say I'm not trying for anymore - I'm lv. 97, 111/104k stats, but with the units I've been getting... Not a chance {2 uncommon & 1 rare, not a shot!}). Is this an issue to send in another (of the probably 50-75 I've already sent in) ticket? The unit should raise my stats, yes? Is the # 20 unit's stats 310/175, or will they be boosted? TIA.
