View Full Version : So what exactly does boosting your attack and defense points do?

Say I rank up and boost my defense points from 80 to 83, what did that do for my defense stats? The game itself gives almost no explanation of what these points do, and I find myself constantly losing battles partly because I have no clue what I am doing.

The skill points you use to boost your attack and defense are multiplied by some multipier that is not made known to us. So say you have like 450 attack and you have 6 attack. Then the software will multiply your 6 by some number (lets say 20). So you would have 570 attack. Then there is also another multiplier which is random. So lets say it ranges from 1.2 to 0.8. Your total attack is multiplied by that and you get your final attack which goes against your opponents defense which is calculated in a similar way. This is why you wont always gurantee a win when you have higher attack than your opponents defense unless it is significantly more.

I have like 150 attack points. I fear they are useless.

They'll give you a better chance of winning in battles againt people whose stats are very close to yours.

I tend to the the multiplier, whatever it is, has a minimal effect on battle results.. I think it really only is relevant when battles are close, like Soviet said. You won't be winning attacks with 10K A against someone with 20K D..

Skill points also have a factor in reducing cas rates.

I've got 112 attack points. In the past i've been able to raid people who defence is up to about 5k more than my attack. It's definitely better when raiding than attacking.

I have X amount of defense skill points. I did a FFN with Miner, his attack stats were around 5-6 k higher than my defense stats. He attacked me, I won, he attacked again, I lossed. Because of my high defense skill points, it gave me a chance to win against someone with higher stats than mine.
