I don't ever get the intro splash screens for boss events anymore. I do see the event in the quest icon. I've tried PVP and PVE. I closed app and got back in. I've left app open for long periods. I've deleted app and opened and tried again. I've even shut down phone and restarted without success. Pretty please didn't work either.

Any other suggestions?

I had the same situation. Event showed up in the quest log but no splash screen. Turned it off and on several times and it finally showed up. Nothing counts until that splash screen shows. Really stinks. May wanna check to see if there is an app update out there.

Got the Golden Scorpion this afternoon, cool unit, way sooner than I expected, cause the event started at midnight here. Loot now as follows: 3 rares, 4 uncommons and 14 commons, not too bad, only one unit missing to complete the collection, for what it's worth anyway. Good chance I won't need any gems until boss 26/27, just like the last boss event. With a bit of luck I think I can reach boss 27/28 tomorrow evening, and boss 30 Monday or Tuesday evening. Meanwhile I abandonned the time quest, too much fuzz for only one uncertain unit and I was levelling up way too fast.

I finally got the boss to show its ugly head. I had to shut my phone completely off 7 times. After turning my phone on, I would either do PVP or PVE. PVP finally kicked in the epic boss approaching. I still haven't seen the introduction splash screen. But I'm on boss 16 now.

Cheers for that! I've got the limited time Death Dragon from very early on in the game. Why do they recycle images of units already crated? They need to employ some decent artists who can draw multiple variants of a single race/dragon/unit and make them all look unique. This is a cheap way of doing things...especially when a company is making serious money from these units. This sort of stuff wouldn't happen in your top line PC games.

Well, normally I would have a quest that says "Defeat Boss X 30 times" and then when you tap on it it would say something like "defeat boss X 30 times and the Bone Dragon will join your army." None of that is there and I'm on boss #23. It was all there up to boss #20 and I received the first unit no problem...now it seems to be nerfed.

Yes, you are right, I am level 46 and managed to kill boss 28 without using any gems. I will need 10 gems for boss 29 and 30 each, this must be the bargain of the month! Of course, the cards will be reshuffled as soon as I reach level 51, but then there will be one ace left to play: replacing my flaming cat army by a dragon army. As soon as this has been done I will be able to reach boss 27 without using gems again. And this will become even better every time I level up: I expect I won't need any gems anymore somewhere between level 65 and 70! Of course the party will be over as soon as I reach level 76 and any attempt to reach boss 30 after I reached level 101 probably will cause acute bankruptcy. Seems I have to try to stay in the lower levels as long as possible...

In the end i got 8 rares(4 orc diviners,2 erpent minions,2 serpentine Ritualists) 1 uncommon (savage spearman) 11 commons(5 resurrected warriors,4 jungle trolls and 2 jungle beetles. Plus the Golden claw Scorpion. Very please how this event went.

New personal best! Beat number ten! Please don't snicker at pathetic me with my 16k attack. I'm having odd issues with not getting credit for PvPs and not being able to see high level units in my "shop." Got a ticket in, I'm patient, there will be other Once In A Lifetime bosses to beat, like next week I guess LOL!

Meanwhile my results are quite the same as y'all big hats. Six beetles, two whatever wasn't a beetle, then the Orc thingie at ten. Whee! Really I should actually do better but I am absent minded and even with setting a timer forget to go back and hit the last few bosses. I only needed two game gold hits on eight, three on nine, and all but a couple on ten. Still cheap for the unit though at my level. :) Though he's a fine ugly beastie.

The event finished just under 2 days early. The quest to get Level 30 Boss must have vanished before you got there even though the boss was still being triggered.

These are the issues also happening in MW. The boss events are becoming seriously glitchy towards the end of the event...eg the lat two days. Avoid participating in them if I were you. The boss events seem to be stuffed or there may be a major calibration issue with the actual event and the timer. Either way it sucks and is happening in MQ, MW and KA.

The thing that sucks is you can't get your time back but you can contact support at ITunes. Explain to them that the event finished before the advertised time. Therefore it is deemed as false advertising. iTunes will happily assist you.

Exactly...they advertised one thing and then ended almost two days early...ridiculous...but what's the use? Even if they were to compensate everyone, we'd probably get another worthless unit like the DST unit instead of proper compensation.

Same here--beat boss 30 after using 300 gems and no Cursed Bone Dragon. I sent my ticket in. I had this problem in MW in the past. It's annoying and should have been fixed long ago. Instead, it has spread to their other games. Pretty lame, IMO.

You've got the most rares out of everyone so far for this event. Congratulations on your good fortune. I finished level 41 and stopped because I was thinking, "Crap, how do I get a screenshot of level 51?" and I managed to get only 5 rares.
