Fortifications and upgrades

So I'm fortifying the Bravehearts faction and then once I buy the next level it asks me to upgrade.

Is there any point if I'm going to buy the next level up as I'm just using concrete?

Where are these levels showing up to my faction members? Being the leader I don'y know if members can see them or the bonuses I have bought. Hope so as I want them to see we're progressing well.

my other device is home, but they see most stuff.

they DO NOT see pending requests... the ability to add/remove/edit members, and a few other things they can not spend money, only donate. there may be a few others the cant see. i just remember these off hand.

But how do you explain this?

I have upgraded to level 6 and it still shows an upgrade available at level 4.
Also it says I don't own any level 1,2,3 or 5 but obviously I've bought these??!!

We can see them, looks the same as your screen shot without the "Purchase New" or "Upgrade" buttons.
But I don't understand how those work, as apparently you can have multiple of each as well?

You have bought them and then upgraded it. Once you upgrade it replaces the older (lower) level.

So based on the picture it looks like you have 1@ level 4 and 1@ level 6.
You can only have so many upgrading to get to level 10 at a time which is why you can just start a bunch of level 1 fortifications.

Right I'm still confused, if I upgrade the lower one it then prompts me to upgrade the one up.

Sorry if its not making sense I just need someone to explain this to a simple person, ie me.

is it better to purchase new fortifications or upgrade existing?

Your best bet is too have as many level 10's possible. So if your at level 9 and need 20 blocks to get to 10 and only have 4, start another fortification.

For 50k and 2 concrete you get 10000 health. Health goes up by 5k with a lot of money and more concrete each time. It is cheaper to get 10k health for 2 concrete than 5k for 4 or 6 or 8 or 10.

We don't know if forts will be destroyed or if they'll be repaired. So a bunch of level 1's may be very weak. Hmmm.
