According to the game FAQs:

"Factions will use one fortification during every war. While that faction's wall is standing, the opposing faction will earn half as many WD Points. Factions can spend money and concrete to upgrade the fortifications up to level 10. A fortification will be consumed at the end of the war regardless of whether the opposing faction completely destroyed it or not."

What thread in the FAQs should I be looking at? Or do I just search them all which I tried and could not find the info provided above

Today my modern war started crashing. It crashes at startup.

I have this to sometimes, only way for me to solve the problem after a reboot of my Ipad, ---> use a jailbreak App, called Icleaner, it delete all your cache game files, after you open MW you will see that youre whole base is gone, and will show up in seconds, MW is retreiving youre stats from their server.

I recently signed in to Modern War and my faction (which was at 22/22 members with 3 bonuses purchased) showed 12/20 members (although the Members list showed all 22 members) and the 3 bonuses I had previously purchased (2 of the 5% building defense boosts and 1 of the +2 guild member boosts) are not showing up.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Is this hopefully just a temporary server issue?

My faction isn't the most powerful, but we also don't have 40k Attack/Defense requirements, and we're about to increase our member size from 24 to 26 in a few hours. Most of our members are currently in the 40s - 70s level-wise, but we even have a few members in the teens and 20s who are willing to donate a few hundred thousand a day.

We're all Android users, so we just got the faction update a few days ago, but if you're interested in joining a faction but don't have massive stats, let me know. I would prefer at least level 40 and at least 150k-175k IPH though

Where'd this list come from? My phone keeps telling me that factions will be ranked after the event. When is the event.

I would just drop my faction and join another, but I've already donated to the vault so I would just rather invite players to join my faction Strength & Honor. I am picky however of who I would accept. I am a free player and I have the highest attack/defense the game offers without purchasing units and or loot items. meaning for every Allie I have, I have the 4 aircraft carriers for defense (46) and 4 stealth bombers for attack(50) While everyone's strategy is different, I only ask that you not have 50 some odd allies with a attack/defense rating like 2400 or something crazy. And if you donate frequently I WILL NOT BOOT YOU! :)

The factions have started, and there was a weekend PvP event that didn't get adequate exposure, but the actual World Domination battles/faction wars have not yet begun. We are still in the process of building up the factions, including fortifications and boosts. If you click on the in-game globe on the left of the screen, it will show how many steps/events remain before the actual battles begin.

My faction has a lag. I have a few members that are lagged in members list! Since they joined they haven't donated anything so I removed them from the group for inactivity! Next day they appeared in faction members list but I can't remove them! When I try to remove them I get a msg "server error - faction update failed" I got 28 spot and 6 of those are glitches... Anybody else has same issue?

I agree this is really starting to tick me off. There are five events in the mission plan, and a hint to collect reward items. Yet there is no explanation of what the event is about, how long it goes for, or what the reward items are. WHAT A JOKE. It is time we all started to scream - I do not know of any other game producer that treats its customers this way :::::::::::::::::

Just to let everybody know when you start the MW app up and the join a faction window pops up click the ? mark in the top left corner. It will help explain the fortfication and battle scenario some what. Just to let you know fortifications are expendables in battle and you will lose them. Also if the enemies fort is not destroyed at the end of the battle you only get half the battle points.

I thought he'd find the answer sooner. Are you on an Android? Or anything but an iPhone? Is your Modern War version the very most recent update? More data is needed. If you are absolutely certain that you've done everything you can, including deleting and reinstalling the game several times, turning on and off your device several times, all while turning widdershins and hopping on one foot: contact support, wait a couple weeks for them to do nothing helpful for you, and then the problem will finally be fixed by software team somewhere around the day after never.

hi, im just wondering if someone could help me please. i made my own faction and then left to join my friends faction, once i had joined it, it seemed fine but then an hour or so later when i i went onto the factions menu it came up with the create/join faction screen again. ive waited a day or so and tryed to join or even create a another faction but i keep saying "alreday in faction. you must leave your current faction before you can recieve faction invites" or "error creating fatoin" and is the same with joining. but when i go onto the faction screen it doesnt say im in a fation, it just comes up with the create/join faction. somebody please help.

I'm a fairly new player, been on since November 30, 2012. I like the game, and the Faction thing is pretty cool, IN THEORY! However, the developers have obviously gone off half-cocked!!!! I've read this entire thread, and there are references to all kinds of glitches: Factions with 24/20 members, players leaving a faction only to find they are still in that faction next time they play, etc. It appears there is a MAJOR server lag. Had a friend I know submit a faction request, then an ally request. Received the ally request in a few minutes, still have no faction request 24 hours later. Either the game servers can't handle the player load, or the application is very poorly de-bugged. All STUPID/REDUNDANT questions aside (e.g., "How do I get concrete??? Duh...) WHY HAVEN'T THE DEVELOPERS ADDRESSED THE LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS IN THIS THREAD? Maybe they don't have any answers!

ANYWAY: I DO have my own faction.
I will NOT expect any players to donate! (But donations are always welcome.)
I WILL (and already have) put my own resources into the faction. (While still developing my own base...)
I will NOT kick any members without giving them a reason and fair warning in advance.
I will NOT promote EVERY member to Officer (that just makes no sense to have too many officers!)
I will NOT accept EVERY request (if any ever get past the Deadly Server Lag!) That's just good policy as far as I'm concerned. Can't let EVERYONE in!
I WILL consider any comments or ideas from members. Please use the Faction Forum!

I'm bordering on desperation with this iOS android integration issue, it really is spoiling the game. There was such a buzz when factions were launched, and now people are just getting hacked off. SORT IT OUT GREE. there are god knows how many phantom players on faction lists, players in multiple factions, and every support request is just getting ignored. IT'S NO GOOD. IT'S A MESS. I work with software development and it appears to me that GREE has limited resources on this game and they are also a bit careless, making releases without proper testing.

I am constantly trying to reach the server in many of my functions, it is just not that much fun to play anymore.

The player "reward" is not that motivating in the lower levels.

The reason could be that there is not enough real money in the game for the company to add more resources. We are many who are playing without buying gold, it is just too expensive. For the activity that I play, and that is not that much, I would need to spend well over €200 a month if I was to buy gold to boost me up. That is way too much that I am personally willing to spend on an iphone game and I earn great money.

Early word was that there will be some sort of bracketing. We know there will be brackets in later events by ranking (which is how well your faction does in the previous event). However, most campers or LLPs have the same concerns about being pounded by a L200 while sitting at level 15. Because of the uncertainty, a lot of campers are in a holding pattern. My strategy was to make a camper faction for bonuses, and if we get exposed to L200s to just have everyone except myself (to weather the storm and save our bonuses) drop until there are fair brackets in place. In the mean time, we all enjoy the bonuses and the fun of a in game faction "forum".

The assumption is that you can always drop and hide from the HLPs. Hope that helps.

Thx again.Yes, all faction boosts work in regular play. The health regen works on bosses, and building income boost works on each members' individual buildings.

If it were individual units, such as two ships, at 5% each, i would totally understand the 9%
However the building defensive bonus ( we have 4 at 5% each), shows a total of 20% in our information page... Not 19%. (81.45....rounded down as per rounding rules). As the bonuses are part of one grouping, +5 and +5 still make 10.

It also does not explain why some members of our faction see 10%, not 9%.
So, no, I don't feel foolish at all. But perhaps you should feel embarrased as a senior member trying to make a new member feel foolish for asking a legit question.

Yup, same points too. submitted a ticket but still nothing. Requested four factions to join, received two replies, but no information on how/what/when.
One was good enough to tell me how to get on, but my faction join tab does not have a forum bit???? so cannot communicate with faction members, (if only I knew how to communicate in game). They were cool.

typos aside, while i follow the idea of applying the percentages as the number runs, if you have one item, it seems that the full rate for that item should be applied as a whole.

if you have 3 pieces that offer a reduction in some rate, lets say health regen time.. i understand if the individual pieces were calced on the total separately... but to have a single piece then broken down into sub pieces does not make sense.

if you had a tank 10%, a plane 10%, and the faction item 10% (2x5%),

the theory the programmer? elaborated on before was something like ((((x-10%)-10%)-5%)-5%)... i disagree...

i would say, because the faction health regen reduction is one item, it should be. (((x-10%)-10%)-10%)

and i say this just because the regen is 1 item.... if your going to break an item up into increments, why not break them all into 1% or some other incremental unit.

I have a problem with my S3 too. When I view the members of my faction, I ALWAYS have to reboot my phone. If I attack the same person like 10 times back to back...it freezes up and I have to restart. I also have to restart when I can see the rocks on a rival's base....meaning I cant see all their buildings either. I restart my phone maybe 20x a day! Good luck starting your own faction. Unless you personally know 20 people...it's going to be hard as heck....considering I've been marketing for a week now and I only have 6 members. Oh here's a good one for you geniuses at Gree...I've had 3 people now joing my faction and are unable to donate concrete because they gave all theirs to another faction and they were kicked after they did. THIS MUST STOP!! It's unfair to the players and rival factions that some factions are now farming concrete! They are taking money as well, but money is a dime a dozen on here so I'm not too upset over that. There should be some threshold to where a player can not be removed after donating....maybe ranks withing the faction that you can donate your way into. I hope Gree reads this and fixes it too.

Various reasons. I posted on another thread how I have three members who were kicked from other factions after they had donated their money and concrete. That's a shame. Gree really needs to make ranks within factions that people can donate their way into. I don't think the others really understand the faction concept yet. I'm working on educating them. And 3 of my members are noobs....lvl 10 or less. So it's a work in progress.

Later I tried joining fractions I've waited 2 days now and no request no anything. The problem is that now I'm getting messages to contribute or get kicked and I can't contribute towards the faction cuz there is no screen to join I just have the oroginal screen that tells u to create or join. Please help me.

So, I've already invested 140 concrete and 20 mil to my faction, so I'm walking away from that. I can offer my final 43 concrete and any other I get to my new faction + a minumim of 3 million a day (after the boss event, I'm not attacking or raiding with my influx of allies) And will donate more if need be. I make about 14-18 million a day raiding and attacking (envy my attacking skills) and where I only normally carry 15 allies I have a very high per unit attack/defense avg (43 attack per unit/48 defense per unit) for a total around 2700 attack and 2900 defense with only 15 allies. I haven't lost a raid or an attack since my first week playing when I didn't know any better and sill have a attack win percentage of 96 and raid percentage of 99. (can you tell I'm big on statistics? I'm currently turtling to build my economy since I have all the units I can use for my allies plus a heafty surplus. So, I want to go to a really good faction, pm me if interested.

I've tried all I know to do to get the faction information screen to show up in MW. I even transferred my account from my iPad 1 to my iPad 3, no luck. The siren still goes on constantly, no faction page, allies showing up as rivals. I also had the problem of drop items going to -1 then to to zero, effectively preventing me from participating in those campaigns. I sent several tickets into support, no responses in my email account. With all these issues, I can only imagine the support department (probably one person) when they return from the holidays: it'll be like a tsunami of s*** hitting a $10 fan.

P.S. Hope support doesn't take this the wrong way, I sympathize with them.

Lol. Have you seriously never heard of the pirates.

Support has started to reply to the server error when deleting bogus faction members.

to be prepared, i'd suggest that you the following:

your faction id

the user name and level for each bogus player.

they should be able to figure it out... but for some reason they are not able to do so.

Our faction has been noticing a shortage of concrete blocks as of lately. The developers must be slowing down the output of blocks as this shortage has been within the last few days. I say we stand up to this manipulation and boycott the game starting tomorrow at 5 pm EST until 6 pm EST. Let's give the one hour with no one playing their game and see if they turn up the volume on the blocks. The more people get behind this the better our chances are.

How can a faction change its leader? Our leader appears to have quit playing the game or (has at least disappeared for the past 2 weeks). Is it possible to change the leader of the faction to another player so we do not lose all of the donations/investments?

The faction is "American Badass" or ID 957615461.

The members in the faction want a new leader, but not sure how to go about it.

We have accepted 10 new members in 2 weeks and none of them have posted or contributed. I don't think that they can contribute and we get an error when trying to remove them. Frustrating. I really hope that this problem is fixed soon!
