What is happening here, all big companies I know stop this fast because they have proper IT people in place.
Is gree doing the attacking of high end players to get them to buy more gold?
It seems gree do not care anymore as they do not compensate any of their clients now, what next! Who knows?

I don't know if Gree really understands the huge risk they are facing with this kind of attacker/hacker. All of the top players are getting hit. This of course means that the top money spenders that are likely to be responsible for 80% of Gree's revenue in crime city.

I can speak for myself in this group; I spend money to build an account and game so that only players that are willing to spend more can beat me. This has changed and is no longer true. Maybe this virtual status is a foolish "thing" but this is one of the primary reasons I spend real money. So now, someone that has NOT spent money can beat me. It invalidates ALL of my money and time that I have invested to create this level of game for myself.

The risk to Gree is that the players subject to these attacks begin fighting Gree to have their ENTIRE expenditure in the game refunded! Of course, Gree would not do this willingly.

If I was part of the Gree management I would be very worried about these hackers.

You hit the nail on the head DG, this is my issue too. While I haven't invested much in comparrison, at my level I have tried to make some smart investments that have meant that only a few people can actually hit me.

I have no problem these people hitting me, (although I seethe privately) and upon occasion they do, but when > 70% of my lost attacks are from people with 1323 grenade launchers, 4123 chain whips and 8472 bulldozers and fighter jets, you tend to loose your sense of humour.

My problem isn't necessarily the hackers themselves, ANY game has this sort of thing, and to be honest a significant number of loop holes have been closed. My problem is the procedures. If hackers were banned within 3 days, we were given notification that player xx has been banned, or player yy is actually legitimate, and the players actions are reversed (loss record expunged, money and explosives refunded), there would be 0 issues.

This is the Internet, and I know that if you have more than 4 people playing a game, there will be moaning, and people throwing their toys out of their plan. But the important things is that when it is impossible to do the gameplay right (because everyone has a different opinion), you have to make sure that the support, and testing policies are impeccable.

I haven't really kept up with this thread. Do people still think this hacker is an ex-Gree/Conzio employee? Or worse, a current employee?

I was curious, so I did some googling (heh) and I quite easily found some company reviews by current and ex employees. A few like the job, several think it's just "ok", and many seemed to think Gree is a real crap company to work for.

One of the aspects and purposes of the forum is to communicate what they learn about the game ranging from mechanics to stratagy. So, we have been plagued by hackers who do not play by the rules of the game, meaning hackers will be banned if caught according to the "rules".

What would people on the forum and players of Gree games think about the game and their investment if they learned that some of these hackers are current Gree employees? What if they learned that some high level player(s) are Gree employees that get their items for free, to spur the enevitable "arms race"? What if you learned of these activities and you also learned you could have a chance at getting all of your money back from the game if you chose to do so.

Just FYI, I'm not a person that generally thinks of nefarious plots and conspiracies. I only follow motive, which most often means the flow of or creation of wealth. Gree benefits from hackers like the current one that robs stats by taking away items that were won with player's cash. They win in three ways. First, by getting players to pay gold to collect them. Second, by promoting the "arms race" phenomena. Third, by making players pay more for boss events by robbing them of stats that reduce the player's gold expense.

Sound like fiction? Anyone want to make wagers? Who believes this can be true? Show of hands anyone?

You would think Gree is paying serious attention to hackers because if they don't, it will be detrimental to their bottom line. I don't know this Japanese company well but they paid a lot of money to buy out Funzio. Unfortunately M&As don't always end well but if they continue to alienate heavy spenders, it could lead to their downfall. It really depends on the % of revenue that they derive from these players. Keep raising tickets with them every time it happens, but if nothing gets done about it, you know where you stand and I suggest boycotting like the MW players. Good luck peeps!

The telling one, is the lack of power that low and middle management. This is probably the source of a significant number of the issues.

She knows this community as well as we do , infact she was passionate about it .

Who are using a IAP hack . Not Gree inside , told you if they want to take them away they would .
And they would do it in a very obvious way , if you attacked somebody no matter the difference in stats .

well ive been hit 65 times last weekend, and this weekend 124. total 189 x $30,000 = $5,670,000 lost 189 turkeys lost.
do gree compensate anything... do they hell. offered nothing last week will probably offer nothing agian this week.
why do we spend money on this game, lord knows.
on top of that my fight losses are now over 1,000... what a piece of ****

I totally understand where you are coming from. I came into the shark tank with only 97 total losses. Now with 542 losses mostly due to hackers that go about their business unabated. Yes, why did we spend money on this game! Better yet, why spend money in the future.
