I too have discovered there is a very high casualty rate when attacking a Barracks.

Oh, I finished level 1 really quickly in this event. I had already taken the Master of Arms down to i last hit of hit point and she never regenerated them. So, once this event started and i found out it started with her, I hit her once to complete the task. Hindsight is a good thing when you get it right!;)

I'm currently finishing level 13 but fear i wont be able to complete the event as I am still level 55. :confused: ...should i got for it?

Let's put it this way. I'm level 119, 130 Hero Strength & 1280 Energy at full. Oh, and level 8, with the Collar? Expect to kill that boss between 7-17 times 'til it drops. :) (I got lucky with 7, but I read another was at 8 and another 17x)

When you hit Quest 13, and you aren't at or above what my stats are, you'll be waiting for refill. And, waiting.

Same here, got lucky for #7 killed 2 and dropped the collar. Now have to kill the boss at #8

Same here. I rarely lose a unit during normal raiding (when I'm going after high payout money buildings). But I lost units like crazy during the quest to raid barracks.

Just an FYI, but you will almost always lose units attacking boost/defense/unit buildings.

This is easily the best event gree has come up with yet. It has renewed my interest and I feel compelled to purchase some gems as a token of my appreciation. I'm sitting at 8/15 and was wondering if anybody knows the total enegery requirement for beating Mantillis?

Edit: With HS@ 92 beat Mantillis with about 750 energy.

You need a good amount of Hero Strength. Otherwise, you'll be there fighting each enemy for forever. And, the more Energy (Read: higher level) you have goes quite well with a good Hero Strength.


*And, some Gems. Helped me out a lot to where I finished in under 24 hours. :)

I have 116 Hero Strength and it helped a lot. The PVP sub quest are a piece of cake. The higher PVE sub quests require either lot of time / hero strength / energy or gems.

At my level (61) the Castles were easy: 15 hits in 35 minutes.
But killing the monsters is tough.

It is. I got 6/15 on one guy and 7/15 on the other after a day and a half of looking. Gave it up. Just doing the box event now. Good luck to anyone else who is looking for them! I will leave mine up for the taking. 8)

Anyone experience not being able to see enemy figures on the Cursed Graveyard? Trying to do the latest limited time event and got to the Transformed Sorcerers in the Cursed Graveyard, but no enemies appeared, only the background for the Cursed Graveyard... Tried getting support help 24 hours ago, but still no official response. Would greatly appreciate it if anyone had similar problem and knows how to resolve. My app is up to date.

To everyone looking for Castles/Cottages/Farms/Barracks.

Divide the requested amount by 3. You can hit 5 fully-ready Castle from only 5 players for 3 hits each for a grand total of "15 Castle attacks".

Same applies to each and every Quest mission asking for raiding.

Finding Castles is your business. Don't want to put in the time? Then stop complaining and don't earn your free Units. The gimme gimme gimme mentality is old.

Castle raid is really hard.

Say, there are 100 players play the game . So there are only 500 castles for raid in the 5 days. If nobody collect their own castle and everyone fix thier castle on time, everybody can get 5 castles to raid. This is ideally best case. So I think most of players will stuck on the castle raid quest to the end of event.

To an extent, it is Gree's fault. Since after all they do know the current number of players, and more than likely have a way of figuring out the current number of castles and the statistics of when and how many castles will be ready for a potential raid. They set the amount of castle attacks to 15 knowing that there is a chance for players to start off by buying gems before they even begin to advance to Quest #3. After the purchase and completion of Quest #1 and 2, the players have a great chance of being stuck on the castle raids for a day or longer. With this time frame of now 3 or less days of completion through 15 parts of the limited quest, players will become anxious and impatient and will possibly buy more gems in fear of not completing the entire 15 parts.

Just a short thought on the fault potentially being Gree's :)

But, here's the kicker. Every single one of the million plus people that started off their Kingdom Age kingdom had a Castle. There are roughly a dozen or so different cycles that your (generically speaking) PvP list displays. From each of those lists comes roughly 50 players. Not every list contains new players and not every player is on every list. Your odds are now 300-400 potential Castles that you have access to.

1. Now, is it Gree's fault that you can't attack every single player based on their stats? No, every player played differently.

2. There is no unfair advantage to any single individual. No options to buy Gems to raid a Castle, no players truly sell theirs off and that is on them if they do (again, a personal choice, NOT Gree) EACH & every playing person has the ability once in a 24 hour time frame to collect or leave their Castle.

Can't find any Castles in your PvP list? Then level up. Get a slew of new players to compete against. Oh, wait? Don't want to level up because you're a camper? Then that is your choice. Accept it. THIS SOLELY rests on the choice by the player to how much they want to EARN these prizes. But, finding a Castle is not singling out high Gem rollers, high level players, low level players or anything in that mix. It's called the dedication of the player to the game. Simple.

I hope Gree sees how many people got stuck and how many people moved on and they don't make a single change. And, if you dropped coin on this event and got stuck; who cares, AGAIN not Gree's decision to "force" you to pony up $. Assume no guarantee when you spend real money.

Go to the last map you have available. Hit the biggest monster on the map. Repeat.
Open your rivals list. Find someone with lower defense than your attack. Tap "attack". Repeat.

Lol, couldn't help myself. Seriously, though. Attacking someone 12'times gives me 200xp or so around that level. I know because I only have 12 stamina. That's about 15-20% of a level. If you did that combined with Pve twice in 6 hours you'd gain a level, at least. So just play til your eyes bleed. You Might want to get an energy refill, though, cuz your pushin the timer. Just install a few apps from Tapjoy and you'll have enough for one, maybe two.

Also, if ever there was an event tailor made for light gem spenders, it's this one, with cheap cost and high ROI. Just glad I heard early that it takes 62 to finish or I'd be in your shoes right now, looking at the screen and looking at my wallet.

Lol. I think they put it in on purpose to make people actually use the rivals list. I've had more activity in the last three days than in the last two months combined. Which I'm happy about, it's all green and gives me nice 990 keys to dumb people's kingdoms. ;)

But, why? It's not a matter of money that is separating players for this event. It's actual gameplay. This is the best use of their in-game ability that is the most BALANCED for all the participating players. I really can't see why people are complaining. They took out money as the complete culprit of complaints and now people still aren't happy.

The castle quest can be extremely frustrating and difficult to accomplish if the timing is unfortunate. If you happen to be going for it when everyone in you level has already collected it, then you are stuck big time. I can see how that wld suck!
I went for a strategy of looking for and attacking players with very low ally counts, assuming that they would most likely not have collected their castle or other buildings. I figured I needed to look for players that didn't check the game much. I guess I was lucky and finished that quest in around an hour.

If anyone is still having difficulty with this quest, try my strategy. It worked for me.

What a relatively easy event!! A nice change from the big boss events that i never seem to go far in.

I found 5 castles in 30 minutes, maybe i was lucky? Also that level where you had to kill a boss and find a certain drop, got it first go thankfully. The barrack one was the most annoying one, lost so many dragons.

I spent 2 highly active/ frustrating days finding the stupid castles. Maybe it has to do with being level 158, I don't know. I worked harder on those stupid things than the raiding for BD10, and I'm a raider with over 14k successful raids. Finally this evening after 2 days of nothing I found the castles. Castles only took me about an hour. My 3yr old son was frustrated while i was looking for them, but it made the flattening of them all the more enjoyable for him.

Some guy mocked me for attacking his barracks. Called me a loser because i didnt know barracks contained no gold. Not sure why you would mock someone with an army of dragons when you have none. I am assuming his current silence and backdown from my challenge is intended to make me go away. It wont, cause the only thing I have better to do is paint my house, and that requires frequent breaks to raid people.

1) This is the best quest by far in the relatively short time I've been playing, and it's not even close.

2) Think; when is the best time to collect a 24 hour respawn building?
Answer: the hours people go to bed - the point where the cycle of collection moves to morning because the collection time gets too late in the night and they wait until the next day. Or, all through the night and early in the morning before they wake up.

I'm currently in Germany, so six hours ahead of the east coast, so my waking hours are your sleeping hours. I had no problems whatsoever finding castles (or any bldgs for that matter).

I'm up to Quest 8/15. Quest 7 sucked. Needed to defeat a dragon a bunch of times to find a specific item. Took me 2 full days to do so. Finding the Castles to raid was relatively simple. Finding 25 farms was simple as well since most people don't collect on their farms constantly. I am hoping to get all 15 quests done to get that special unit. Never got one that strong.

15 is the main boss. It took me 3 full bars causing 130 plus damage per hit to defeat him. It's hard but worth it. Hang in there!

I really love this event. It balanced the game. Now people will spend their skill points on Attack for the Boss events and Hero Strenght for the Limited time quest events. By the way I spent my first two days for the castle quest but then just one more day to finish all the other 12 quests. I hope there won't be any castle quests on the future events :)

Yes, 14 is defeat 50 rivals - should be very easy for everyone! I hope to be starting the final boss very soon.

I would not say the event was "easy", in fact I thought it was a great, balanced event. I put a lot of time into playing and was rewarded with the final unit prize. This is the very first event that I felt I actually had a chance to finish, rather than being discouraged from even trying from the start.

I'm guessing #7-14 most be quick parts of the limited quest, since they are not mentioned as frequently as the Castles and last boss..

There are other long segments besides just the castle raiding part. Killing the demon beasts until it dropped a collar was a pain in the a$$. Personally, I had to kill 17 of them. Others were lucky and got it on their first kill.

There's another at the end that have some difficult bosses, but they aren't nearly as tough as the final boss, just more of them.

If you have a lot of energy and good hero strength and hero equipment, they're manageable. However, if you're only on stage seven, you're probably gonna need some luck, good stats, and maybe gems to finish this in time.

Not only was I attacked today for my Barracks, I retaliated on the guy. Posted on his wall only to find out that he was reserving the Castle...(that I raided to the ground)...in a Quid Pro Quo for another player. And, because I already won this event, I went out and raided 2 more Castles to the ground.

My bad. I did get 20% extra though.

Up to now if you don't spend many gems you are very unlikely to get near completing the quest games but the limited time and Gauntlet quests are very much more achieveable. Is this a permanent change? I for one am happy if it is but wonder how Gree will generate income if they are too generous. Anyway they have been fun, so thanks.

I'm fairly certain that Hero equipment is a 1 Weapon / 1 Armor sorta deal. After you get something better, it goes to the troops. So, if you have farmed some pieces that are 40/20 or 20/40, then whatever else you buy goes to your units.

The only way to raise your Hero Strength is to use skill points when you level?

I used just over 3000 energy in the end. My HS is 114, but my weapon is only a 37 attack (oathbringer).

Long time reader first time poster. I've been cranking through these quests over the last few days and finally reached #15. Problem is, when I click on the 15th quest I get a message that I must be level 62 to access the map - but I've only just reached level 56. Anything I can do about this? Almost seems like a glitch. Problem is, when I click on the 15th quest I get a message that I must be level 62 to access the map - but I've only just reached level 56. Anything I can do about this? Almost seems like a glitch. I believe you are hosed. You do in fact have to be L62 to complete the last quest. You'd think a warning in the splash screen saying "you must be L62 to complete" would not have been too difficult for the devs.

I was level 51 and had 4 and a bit days to do what your trying to do in less than 2. Take the day off work and stay up all night if you really want to make it, or spend some hard earned cash if you are desperate.

I made it, with some serious help from the box event. I think i recieved atleast 4-5k experience just from opening over a dozen box's that had exp. I already have the templar so it doesnt bother me. Im also on lvl 9 BD as of tomorrow. I've almost beaten Orpheum. One hit to go!...and the Valetta will be mine. Gook luck if you go for it but it will be hard to do from now on.

I used a great strategy by limiting loss to my energy bar. I used a timer on my phone to let me know when I had exactly the right amount to successfully attack that particular unit. BANG! I hit it and used the exact amount of energy per strike with no loss as there was no energy to loose. That way, you use the time and energy perfectly without loosing any to response attacks from the unit you are attacking. Try it, trust me, if you dedicate yourself to it and time it right every time, it will work in your favour.

Nice - I am using this strategy for the last boss. That said, it is going to take a looooooong time to get him down. At least 50-60 hits I'm guessing. I might run out of time....

Thanks guys! No probs, glad to help and share strategies.
Your cutting it fine with time but If you feel it's going to be too close, get 20 tap joy gems and use them straight after you make a hit, and after Orpheum has retaliated. Your energy will remain at 0, use the tapjoy gems to speed things up a little buy hitting him multiple times but remember, I thing you loose 30 something energy every time he hits successfully. Repeat as often as you can. I know it's going to take time getting all your tapjoy gems, do it between hits. Let us know if and when you pull it off.

Timing is everything;
3x22=66 energy. That means every 22 minutes you can hit Orpheum without receiving damage. Save's you loosing 30 something energy every hit. It makes a difference in the long and short term trust me.

I've used a similar approach myself with this event, I've finally got one more hit with the cute Royal Guard to go, sadly it is doubtful if I'll achieve pass 14 lol

My meat shield worked extremely well for this event. I only lost about 6 to 8 of my 600 dragons, and one or two hydras. Lost a lot of manticores though. I also managed to find a few level 7 barracks, and the casualties then were minimal.

Just finished killing Orpheum and got the Vallata - no gems used:) I wasn't sure if I would make it without gems since it took me about 2 days to decide whether to go for the quest and gain the levels. Fun quest, worth the xp:)

Wow! I had 27 mins left to destroy Orpheum & has 3/4 life in him. Finally descided to buy $20 bucks of gems cause I won't make it in time to destroy him. I did 4 resets for 80 gems on my energy & he's history..! Yaaah boooyy!! My first 1000 A or D units in KA. & the box she dropped was my #10 gauntlet with middle option only. 2 in 1 for just 80 gems not bad i guess, huh guys? But still a big congratulation to those who got both grand prize for free..! I still have 169 extra gems & probably use it for the next quest event...

My energy regenerates at 3/min, so by doing that, I was saving myself 7-8 minutes of energy regeneration per attack. Considering how many time it hit it took to kill him, that saved me a lot of regeneration time.
