Using gold in Jewelry box event

Hi,

I have never used gold in this event before as my tapjoy gold does not come easy. So my question is does the gold only guarantees open the box, or it actually guarantees it opens the jewelry itself? I see the top 25 has at least 100 jewelries, how can they get so many in finite period of time if even gold can't guarantees it?

Auch! Consider some opening as $10000 or $50000 or 300R, lots of gold will be wasted. But now the event is over and I'm at 19 pearl and 5 boxes left. I'm really shooting for the 20th reward.

Just used gold on these events first time, and got a Hitman's sniper rifle. Duh! 4 more to open. I probably only gonna use gold one more time at last box.

Gold use is like oiling the gears, the opens will become more frequent, but it's how you collect the crates that's key. Mix in PvP and alternative methods to get the best results in the 10 item version.
