ahh, that makes sense. why do they stop at 499? it seems silly to me. do they think it will keep ppl with 500+ mafia from seeing them? cause i see them all the time on my rivals list.

It's because they think people won't target them for doing thug life goals. After TL level 40 or somewhere along that line it requires x number of wins against players with 500 or more mafia.

It's because they don't want to be targets for people doing thug life goals, but they themselves want to complete their own thug life goals. By keeping 499 they are as strong as possible without "helping" their rivals make progress on their goals.

Yeah, it's kind of sad truth that the 99ers are still safe before ppl finish their TL goals.
Why 499ers are rats only? To me ppl with mafia size range 470-499 should all be called rats.

Somebody got bored and just took the rewards from 100-300 and copy-pasted them for 301 - 500. That's basically it :p
