When you play Modern War (just to stay on-topic) what is your favourite beer that you like to drink.

If you don't drink beer then I will extend the thread to any alcoholic substance as I know we have some alkies here like Arizona (he's Scottish so has an excuse)

If your tee-total thats fine also

Budweiser for partying. Blue moon with dinner or just chilling.

Summer time at the pool or beach I'm filling up a cooler with my home made margaritas and piña coladas

I have found that drinking and playing MW can be dangerous. Usually end up wasting 500 gold on crates and not even getting anything good.

Hmmm, love Asahi with my Sushi, A good Belgian beer with a friend in the evening, a pale ale or Paulaner Hefe with my beef. I could go on, but I think I got the basics. Ohh and I love all the different micro brews - Pyramid... (I have to stop, dinner is ready)

Edit: I forgot the hole point of the thread, for MW a good Guinness.

If I am eating food I don't want to eat my beer too so light beer is great. A good Black and Tan before a meal is always welcome though. One of my favorite beers to have with a meal is Amstel LiGht (face palm)

Also, dark beers can be good but I just can't drink 14 Guinness in a night. It's physically impossible for me to drink darker beers in large quantities...when I play modern war!

This is probably the closest for me! I'm currently enjoying a Firestone XVI Anniversary (which is delicious and has a tequilla component on the back end) I have at any given time usually 100+ different bottles to try!

Stouts are my Favorite, IPAs and then Sours (it's strange and takes awhile to start enjoying!)

Top 5 Favorite Breweries are:

Lost Abbey (San Diego Ca)
Russian River (Santa Rosa Ca.)
Avery (Boulder Co.)
Cigar City Brewering (Tampa Fl)
Great Divide (Denver Co.)

Guinness, Guinness and more Guinness. Visited Ireland a few years ago and did the factory tour. Went right to the bar on the top floor for my free pint. It really does taste better there. Hot Summer day I'll grab a Leinekugel Summer Shandy, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat or the old standby Rolling Rock (which I think is an underated beer).

Jameson's whiskey, Glenfiddich scotch and what I think is a little known vodka called Jean Mare' XO, when my taste is for something a little harder. On the rocks, please.

We have a place here in Atlanta called Prohibition. You need to "know the code" to get in as it changes daily. You dial the "number" from an old pay phone that the bouncer answers and lets you in. They have cigars and the best freshly made cocktails I have ever had(no mixes, only freshly squeezed fruit). My drink of choice is an Amaretto Sour, which takes about 10 minutes to make.

Any IPA or Stout. Stone IPA, Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Old Rasputin Imperial Stout from North Coast Brewing Co. Those ar the 3 that come to mind atm, I''ll honestly drink just about anything lol. Have only read the first pg so far, but Asahi is good beer too. Almost always get that if I'm at a Japanese restaurant. And have guzzled down plenty of Bud Lights in my SDSU days. Would never get this anymore, but Keystone light was cheap as hell in college, $13 for a 30 pack. Many empty cans have come and gone of that stuff lol.

Poop had a nice list...Dawg, we're practically neighbors, I'm in NC...Procyon, the Rock used to be my standard until Sludgeweiser bought them and shut down Latrobe. Bastards.

Blue Moon is my go to when out, at home been drinking Leinenkugels and Hoegaarden this summer. Love my Belgians...anyone ever tried Ommegang? Made in Cooperstown, NY. Traditional Belgians. Like my lambics occasionally but they are pricey. Big Guinness fan too.

This time of year I mix my Makers Mark with egg nog but usually ginger ale or coke. Used to do a lot more variety of mixed drinks but not so much anymore.

Cheers! 🍻🍻

@ Fl@sh, Prohibition sounds like my kind of bar. I make cocktails myself and I like a drink to take as long to make as it does to drink. Favourite currently is a Bombay Bramble but anything sour rather than sweet is a dead drink walking!

Gin - Bombay Sapphire
Vodka - Grey Goose
Whiskey - any single malt, I'm not a connoisseur
Rum - Mount Gay
Coffee - Illy
Summer Beer - same as you Bron I like Asahi, dry as you like. Tesco only, seem to do the big bottles now, they used to do 4 packs of the 330ml bottles which I preferred as they stay cold until you get to the bottom.
Winter beer - JHB, they do it in Tesco or Waitrose or all good supermarkets, check it out.
Christmas in a glass? - pint of Doom Bar

I've had a hangover most of the day as I was being served extremely fat rum and cokes last night at a friend's dinner party and it wasn't until I lost the power of speech at about midnight that I looked at the bottle and realised it ws 58%!

Wish I could remember its name but I can only just remember mine still.

The really cool thing about the last 20 years is the explosion of the microbrewery and brewpub in the United States. You can find an amazing beer in almost any town in Indiana, brewed locally. For a true beer snob, it is interesting to savor the different regional flavors. Bluegrass brewery in Kentucky has a beer that rivals Chimay, and at half the price. No need for the mass market watered down rice-based beers. Hit a brewpub, people!! Support local businesses and broaden your horizons!! Fat Tire is a great example of a truly unique beer that was only found in Colorado until recently. Makes Newcastle taste like Coors light!

Broson, the best thread here so far. Thank you, my friend!

I have drunken so many kinds of beer in my life so far, but here some of my favourites from my home country:
Löwenbräu Munich, Weihenstephaner Weißbier (from the oldest existing brewery in the world), Reissdorf Kölsch, Rothaus Pils Tannenzäpfle, Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu - and at least 500 other sorts which are no **** television beers, but regional specialities.

And yes, I also like many Belgium beers, Czech Pils, some British ones. I prefer regional, local beers. So in Spain I drink Spanish beers etc. AND: I HATE LIGHT BEER, all kinds of artificial beer, non-alcoholic beer, mixed beer...

Seems to me that I am not the only addicted guy in this forum...
