Spending gems from tapjoy

What is the best way to spend the small number of gems earned from clicking ads? I currently have 100 gems and am thinking about saving for winemakers first. They seem to be the best return for the price.

What are other people using these gems for? Boss Events? Other buildings? etc....

You have to be able to get the gems before you can spend them. This tapjoy thing is a bunch of BS. Alot of players can not even get the tabjoy to get the free gems. Spend them on whatever the hell you want.

Good question John. I have 110gems as well, and am trying to figure out the best thing to do with them. Although I wanna put it towards units.

If you can finish say lvl 25 - 26 boss without gems but can't get any further, it would be the best roi to spend those gems to get to lvl 30. Not only the lvl 30 unit but also the possibility of collecting a rare or two is worth the 100 or so gems you would spend

I've been tempted to do it on the boss events, but currently I can only get to level 15 or 16 free. I would only be able to do every 3 or 4 boss events at the rate i can earn gems. Assuming 100 would be enough to get from 16-20.

My stats aren't high enough to reach the 'teens for the Boss event. But, with that being said...there will be another Box event before the next Boss event. So, I'll keep hoarding until the last day and weigh the consequences of earning a better unit or keep saving.

Lucky you,lots of players dont have any options to earn free gems.My advice to you is collect 500 gems and purchase gold mine or spend it on crates,look the units first if you can see something that you like

I'm using my free gems to get the tiered prizes in the boss events (boss kill #20).
That's my recommendation.

At the risk of seriously irritating a few people. I used 60 of my free gems to defeat the last bosses (number 30) in 3 boss events, then bought a wine maker and upgraded it to level 7. I am trying to save for another one but gems have dried up. I think an upgraded wine maker is a very good spend (over 14k gold every 12 hours), especially now level 30 boss is going to be very difficult even with gems.

Other buildings? etc.... you are right,winemakers is good investment,60 000 gold at level 10 for 24 h,you need about 1000000 gold to upgrade it to level 10,gold output is every 12 hours,thats not bad..If you can earn 200 gems than purchase that

Update on your question,so if you purchase apothecary and upgrade it at level 10,you gain every 3 hours about 3600 gold or every 12 hours 14400 gold,if you spend 120 gems you can get to 2buildings,so together on level 10 in 12 hours you can get 28 800 gold,so its not bad at all!

I bought two apothecaries and saving for winemaker #1 (got 128 gems) and will go for #2 thereafter. After that i'm abandoning saving for a gold mine or jewelcrafter and will use gems to get units in boss event.

I bought two sets of three crates with my tapjoy gems. Got 5 sucky common units that are way worse than the rest of my army, and then one rare with a defense over 300. Pretty happy with that, especially since I am also in the boat of being too far away from getting to 30 in boss events.
