Hi fellow KA players. I am an active CC player and community member but never really cared to much about KA.

KA level is 107 with 87k/80k stats. My new goal is to get a BD level 10, currently on 8 with a decent hydra army. I am obviously missing a lot of background on KA hence my questions:

Is there a cap a rival can take when attacking me? I saved up to 600k just to find myself razed down to 400 the next morning. In CC there is a limit one can loose per 24 hours but 200k overnight seems crazy.

How am I supposed to save 1 million+ when people can grab large sums? Any tips a veteran player or BD 10 owner cares to share?

Search. There's a few strategies out there. Poor choices being selling your Manors and other high level buildings for 1/2 their value.

However, yes...there is a Vault limit of 330,000. Once you go over that, you're fair game.

Couple of things come to mind that'll help.

One, you'll really need to play around & find the right ally count for your situation. Will full allies help? Or, Maybe dropping allies to be just below what full/near-full alliedplayers can see on their rival list?

Second, perhaps you can bulk up your defense some more with equipments, etc

I agree with chimera. Also, make sure your IPH is high enough to support that kind of upgrade.

I had to go max allies, I also camped for a while at the level I did my run at (103). If you camp a while the brackets might change and rivals that are a higher level might not be able to see you. I did it off my own economy at 9k an hour. The most you can lose per attack is 9900 and you can get attacked 20 times every two hours so its impossible to effectively no bank.

I don't know if there's a loss cap that limits how much you can lose in a day. If you are attacked repeatedly there's an internal health meter that will prevent an attacker from attacking your further once you fall below a minimum threshold. They'll see a "Player to weak to attack" notice. I think I've read that once your health falls below this minimum it takes two hours to reset. If I encounter someone with a lot of gold overvault, I'll attack them 10x in a row. Only once have I ever triggered the notice that the player is too weak for further attacks so it must be more than 10 attacks before you fall below the health limit.

It resets once the player logs in again

Thanks for the info, I thought that was the way it used to work. But I guess you would know.
