Ladies and gentleman:

Today, I announce my retirement from the game of Modern War. The time has come for me to delete this game and completely walk away. I have been in a gold boycott the last two months. I have continued to play during this time, but the game has had all the life sucked out of it by its lazy, incompetent programmers. It's just no longer fun.

I have dropped nearly all my allies. I saved just a few of you that I like to "Fl@sh" occasionally and are way below my level threshold. Those of you near my level and ally count(around 25), please feel free to FFN me and post the screenshots here AND in Bronson's FFN thread.

The decision to walk away from the game was made easier by the complete lack of communication from the devs and their company. What is needed is a single dev for each game that is in constant communication throughout the day. This is actually asking a lot, unlike the demands of those still in boycott. My thinking is most of you will join me in the coming weeks.

The hardest part of my decision was walking away from the great people here. I have met and communicated with a lot of you on here. You have become like a family to me. I wish you all the best in your future game and life endevours.

Holy smokes! Fl@sh this sucks brother. I have enjoyed meeting you and always get a kick reading your posts. The first time I got Fl@shed in the game it made me chuckle. Sad, sad day if you truly walk away. But, I completely understand your decision as it truly is only a game...and a broken one at that! You will be missed buddy! It peevz me so much to see good people who have injected their hard earned money into this game, that have been ignored rejected and cast aside as if we were simply a food source for a GREEDY and self centered company.

If this was simply a game where people put $80 in purchasing it and then walked away because it didn't work the way it had portrayed itself to then fine, you've lost a small investment and you've learnt from it. But we are talking thousands of dollars that people individually have pumped into these games. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE GREE? WAKE UP you scheming B@ST@RDS!

Many of are still here because of the people we have met in the game. Without my pirate teammates, I would never have risen to levels I have, and for sure would not have had the fun I have enjoyed playing with them. I do hate seeing people leave, especially the ones who have been able to bring a lighter side of things to the rest of us.

Seeing posts like this kills me. I understand there will always be attrition on forums and in games like this but seriously? The legends are dropping left and right. There will come a day when I too will have had enough and will walk away. I have some personal goals for the game that will take quite a bit of time so I don't see it being anytime soon. But who knows? Losing some of the great players is taking a good bit of fun out of the game.

Sorry to hear it. Yes things are changing some even now I know. But as for by next week and due to the boycott, I doubt it. From what I know things were already in the works. Long term I hope things will turn around. I've had some private communications with some at Gree and forum members over the last few days which gives me hope for the chance of improved communications and game enhancements. I can't give out details yet publically, but stick around or check back.

Hey Flash. I respect and understand your decision. It sucks because we were just getting to know each other up here, and you were (and are) one of the good forum members. You were friendly, welcoming, respected the opinions of others (even if you didn't agree), and was just an all-around great sport.

But, as I said to someone else in another thread, kudos to you for taking a real stand and walking away when YOU felt it was time to. I do hope you stay around to chat from time to time, even if you have decided not to play the game anymore. All the best to you.

I really enjoy the game. I do agree that gold is way to expensive and when we do decide to spend it, the units do not work as intended.
