Anyone else notice a 2K drop from your defense? I went from 92K to 90K

The tycoon perk gave a false increase in the display of the defense value. So tycoon wasn't disabled, but this part of the perk was. My defense for the turrets are still the same as they were before.

Where is it advertised that you get 10% boost in defense values? It was always something hidden. This game takes things away almost monthly, so it should come as no surprise...

It isn't, but if you look at spreadsheets it's defined as an invisible boost.

Yep now we wait until they tell us what happened, ha...odd that everyone is seeing a drop of about 2k...unlikely we all had same amount of purported D boost before it disappeared...

The drop in defence is the 10% added to defence buildings fron goodfell upgrade, but you do not loose anything in real defence. This is part way towards what we have beed campaigning towards.

My defense only dropped by just under 1200.

That doesn't sound like enough to account for all the defense buildings I have now.

The biggest drops are if you have a lot of defence buildings upgraded.

just made me check.
i am not a tycoon i brought the goodfella upgrade.

my chemical plant dropped from 400 to 382 & my other buildings have dropped.
does this mean my goodfellas bouns deff has been removed?

I didn't write a ticket because I don't expect a straight answer regarding this issue. It seems like another "just do it and let them figure it out for themselves" unannounced change made by Gree.

So far it just looks like that 20% imaginary defense building boost was removed from tycoon/goodfella. I know there's that pic a few pages back, but there are too many people who share the impression that there was a stated bonus somewhere. Easily visible, written in English, given to either tycoon or goodfella, or both.

I haven't noticed a decrease in any actual defense numbers when fighting/robbing rivals. If the true defense was also dropped, or if they changed the way defense gets calculated, it's just another invisible back end calculation.

No worries it's only been 5 days! Give it another week then you should receive a customer service survey.... Thus meaning they just closed your ticket without responding! Seems to be the "New" way of doing things!

Thank you for the inquiry on this. The Tycoon class, and subsequently the Goodfella class has never been intended or advertised as giving a boost to defense buildings. The Tycoon class (and the Goodfella class by extension) gives a 10% bonus to income from money buildings in your hood. Due to a glitch, this was also appearing to apply to defense buildings, but this was a display glitch only and was not actually adding to your defense (it made the number go up but was not counted in the actual calculation). We have fixed the display glitch, and we apologize for the confusion this caused.

I was about to say, my level 1 gatlings still show 28 instead of 25.. And also, as customer support stated, it's never been advertised that it boosted your defense buildings by 10% as well. I remember this specifically because when I found a post that said it, I was ecstatic before realizing it was a "fake" boost.

I have a different issue concerning the upgrade. I haven't really seen a difference in my Def, while I have noticed a huge raise in a count of people, who are able to rob me. I lvl slowly, at the moment I'm 76 with 15/19k atk/def and 280k/h income. The defence stat is not artificially inflated by upgraded def buildings - all I have is a full set of lvl1 gattling turrets. For a long time (a few months) I haven't banked my money, because being robbed was a once a week or two incident (easy calculation, I lost less by being robbed so rarely than I'd be if I banked).
Now, a few days ago, I noticed a huge increase of successfull robberies on myself. I checked stats of the players - they are mostly having attack stat at a level od 12-15k. How come 12k attack could beat a 19k def? Even if it was a real def of, let's say, 18k. Still 6k diff! That's a 50% difference from 12k to 18k. I know that's a random, and a difference of 10-20% could give you a chance. But 50%?!
Something changed in the terms of atk/def, and it's not fun. Anyone else noticed the difference?
