If I were a Yankee, I'd vote for Obama. Nobody could have reasonably expected him to clean up Bush's mess after only 4 years.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a mechanic.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a mechanic.

First of all, the comma doesn't belong there - there is no pause.
Secondly, if I had meant mechanic, I would have said mechanic. In which case, I would have had to say "...doesn't make you a priest..."

At any rate, thank you for your suggestion. Please don't be offended if I don't "fix" my signature. Its perfect the way it is.

The funny thing about the ignore list is that you can't really ignore anyone. I had Dravak on mine once and every time he'd post, I'd unhide it just to see what garbage he was spewing again.

I'm really not surprised. Anyone that would post that he would stab someone to death has some deep psychological issues.

Also, didn't you say before that you live in a trailer park? Not saying that would have anything to do with it.

My hopes/expectations for term 2. We all know (i hope) the reins come off in term 2.

A second stimulus that is primarily trickle up instead of the Frankenstein compromise of round 1. How many years of failed extreme neoclassical does it take to recognize the value of Keynes and others work.
Education lending reform considering our very expensive degrees are now worth bubkiss.
Major fed $ for stem cell research.
Take more money back from china...how much ip they steal fromus and others this year?
As globalization continues we need more gov jobs to stimulate economy domestically... I'd prefer the private sector do it but who will invest here when more profits are to be made elsewhere.
Protection of entitlements.
More fed $ for Education, strong schools, smaller classes = stronger next gen.
More responsible domestic energy development. Let's take green to the next level.
Please continue my list if you are a republican or dem. he is again OUR prez and this is our country. Now that election is over let us come together to lead the world into a new era.
Those of you who are nonamerican please contribute also the role the US has in the world certainly warrants your input, it would be much appreciated.
Troll free zone please.

I think you guys are waaaay to afraid of anything that approaches even a centimeter towards the left. There are a lot of aspects about European and Canadian life that work much better than the US approach and lead to a better quality of life for more people.

Anything our federal goverment touches goes to crap, fast. We have the worlds best healthcare/Docs. Leaders from all over the World come here for treatment...nothing is broken about our Healthcare. It's the governmennt interference, abusers of the welfare system, Insurance company greed and system corruption that have made it unaffordable to the masses.

Our country has always been considered "The Land of the Free" The "free" part is being taken out of context now. Seems everybody wants a handout anymore.

Since our founding fathers, American Sprit is carried by the hope of positive, energetic, and creative pioneers and immigrants, not by fear-based conservatives.*

I know we have lots of issues here, but to see it as half full or half empty all comes from our own perspectives.

I went to China 3 years ago. It is still a relatively poor country, but their people are full of hope. They work hard, and don't mind to sacrifice a little bit to make their country better. This is the reason why they're so productive and be able to make our money.

But look at us, fox news and conservative talk radio keep selling their fear based agenda.. Blaming China, complaining Obama, and whining their loses. Instead of offering any positive suggestions, all they did is blocking this country from any progress.

I'm an independent. I vote for whoever carries the American Spirit faithfully. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Stop and think about it for a minute. Are you feeling frustrated about this election? Why? Maybe you bought too much fear from someone who sells it. Yes, fear and desires make the most popular/addictive products in this world. (major ingredients of Crime City).

Yes, change is hard and scary. No one can predict the future, and bad things or disasters do happen no matter how hard we try to prevent them. It is life. When they occur, whether we want to play the role as a victim, or helping others as real man? It's totally depending on our conscious levels. It is life's lessons.

Most things Obama wants to do has already been tried in other countries with good results. Wake up, in many areas, we're not leading the world, we are far behind other countries.

I know conservatives love to say: it is my hard earned money. Why I need to pay taxes, pay other people's welfares or health cares. In left brained logic thinking, I have to say it makes perfect sense. But don't forget that we're humans, loving and helping other beings, the humanity, is the ultimate purpose that we came to earth to learn.

About the stock market
1. Wall street, bankers and some riches want to make Obama looks bad.
2. Conservative tv/radio shows are selling and some people believe (in fear) that Obama will cause the world economy to collapse.

About the 2nd point, all I can say is that our wills do carry powers, and be careful what you're wishing for. The stock market is a battle ground of negative/fear and positive/hope perspectives. Our thoughts can turn it into either direction.

Please stop these fear-based/negative thinkings and turn them into love-based/positive ones if we truly want this country/world to become a better place. I know it won't be easy and it takes time, but for the sake of humanity, please do.
