View Full Version : The LONG Road to my first NC

It's going to be a VERY long road, but you've got to start the trip somewhere. I began my savings as shown in this picture taken on 10/10/12 with an IPH of only 3k. I plan to keep periodic picture updates of the journey logged down and stored here. I'll be updating the thread once at the end of every month, with a post containing my progress for that month.

http://www.funzio.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1899&d=1352190020

The PLAN:

I'm looking to power raise my income as absolutely quickly as possible (I'll be focusing on my Mansions, and 12/24/48 hour buildings). Beginning with only 3K IPH, the advantage of free upgrades simply isn't something that I can overlook. As such, I have purchased two Haunted Mansions and will be upgrading them both to level 10, while alternating between Movie Theater upgrades as my cash supply allows for it. Eventually, I'll get my first Lofts built, and then it's just a matter of time. Let the savings begin!

THE JOURNAL

The END of Month One - LOG UPDATE:

Yesterday marked the end of Month One of my seemingly endless NC journey. Within that time my income has been raised from $3,000 an hour to it's current amount of $41,524 an hour. My hood has been greatly expanded as well this past month, I've built up BOTH movie theaters (currently level 4 each), and my first ever Loft is under construction as of this post. As of now I have $752,081 saved.

Yes, I'm taking this spot too.

Good luck with your objective. It's good to have a plan. I'm not sure this is the best way to achieve your aims, but hey, it's your game to play your way.

It's good to have a plan but I would recommend not saving until your IPH hits 100k.
Having your Movie theatres at lvl 7 and lofts at lvl 5 is a good start.
I think I saved for my first when my income was 130k and it took about 3 weeks.

Good luck Sunsets, I started saving for mine at 59k and it took about 2 months in between the odd upgrade. The box events killed me but I was low stats/high level at that point (didn't find the forums and the 'proper' way to play the game until about level 100) but the end result has been well worth it, I'm now $200k/hr+ because I can now 'afford' high end upgrades pretty much whenever I like and it's snowballing very quickly indeed - I have just under 80m banked, NC lvl2 upg will commence in a couple of days when the HM lvl8 upg finishes. As has been previously advised, levelling up lofts and movie theatres is a great way to boost your economy. Congrats on the $1m scratcher win as well, good times! Good luck with the saving :)

I've just got my NC, was on 80k IPH and it took me 4 weeks to save enough. Managed to hide the building quite well, no one has robbed it yet!

No offense, but you are quite the arrogant player to think it is wise to start saving for a NC at 3k iph. I'm not going to tell you how to save up for a NC a faster way b/c if you did ANY reading whatsoever on the matter you would have learned how stupid your goal actually is and the better way to go about it. read some guides dude..

Lol. Well at least your IPH has been brought up to 28k / hr  With perfect collections, which is near impossible depending on what type of buildings you own, here is what to expect.

3k IPH
555 days of saving

28k IPH
60 days

I'm arrogant for playing Crime City how I want to? It's a game man, calm down. I'm free to play it as I wish. And by the way, I've already developed a Plan (Which I've even included in my original post now, just for you - Since you don't seem to understand what I'm doing here):

By upgrading both of my Haunted Mansions to level 10, I'll have an IPH of around 80k - and it won't take too terribly long to accomplish that either. Considering that Haunted Mansions are free upgrades, I'll be able to alternate those between Movie Theater upgrades, and eventually build up my first Lofts, getting me up to around 100k IPH.

You may laugh now, but just wait a little while; I guarantee I'll have my legitimate NC up and running. And yes, I actually have read several guides, contrary to your assumption. Furthermore, I went on to establish my own plan to accomplish a goal, that I personally find entertaining.

Which means that if I want to spend a few months saving up for my NC, and start recording the journey at only 3k IPH (Which as I've already evidenced in my first post is rapidly rising), then that's exactly what I'm going to do.

So thanks anyways, but I'm going to keep right on playing this game as I please.

10/28/12 - Haunted Mansion Purchased
10/31/12 - $1,000,000 Scratcher Received (Movie Theaters purchased and eventually upgraded to level 3, Expansions Completed)
11/03/12 - Haunted Mansion Purchased
11/05/12 - $27,792 IPH; $447,919 Saved
11/05/12 - $29,942 IPH; $720,973 Saved (Hourly HM collections + Cash Scratcher)

I thought you could only get 1 haunted mansion!

I thought you could only get 1 haunted mansion!

No, they changed it. Two haunted mansions for everyone now.

To be honest 80k is a little low for nightclubs, you'll need to be a really hardcore robber to pull it off. Saving for my night club was rather painless since the second it opened I had the $40 million, but with an IPH of only 120k at the time it was still a long hill to climb.

If you're only going to go on, it'll take you the better part of 21 days of perfect collection. Most people here sleep, so I suppose that'd be about 18 collection a day at the most unless you're going to have insomnia for the next month, so that totals out to about 1.4M a day leading to the better part of a 28 day savings. Tack on the 143 hours to build it and you'll be able to start collecting in 33 days :)

I was bored.

Yeah, there's no way in heck I'll be collecting that much haha. But I have been getting rather nice cash scratchers almost every day, which is really helping to speed up the process.

I think I saved for my first when my income was 130k and it took about 3 weeks. I'm right there, $130,000 an hour and have 23 million saved its been 2 weeks so far I think and still a ways off. I would recommend at least $100,000 an hour

Although lv 10 Haunted Mansions pay out almost double what lv 10 MT's do so you may have a good plan

In any case, this is a picture of when I first started my Nightclub savings back on 10/10/12 with my ever so sexy 3k IPH. This right here was the first step down one of the longest Crime City journeys I'll probably ever know ...

There's a few longer journeys. NC level 10 is going to be an epic journey. So is saving up for your casinos :p

Nice going man! I'm along the same lines with my camper.. just built my first 2 MT's and plan to level all my buildings to at least level 7 and increase my stats before I add more Mafia and build lofts though. My first goal is 2 lvl 10 haunted mansions and working (lvl 8 and 6 currently), and after that basically all money into MT to get them to around level 8. and lofts to 6 before I work towards my first NC. Good luck with your achievements! I know I need some for mine ;P
