Android: Unknown Error On The Epic Boss

Hey all,

The Android team has been working all day to find out what is causing the "Unknown Error" message on the boss so we can put a stop to that. Two things would help us out in that regard:

1: If you had the problem earlier, can you give me a detailed description of exactly when the error message popped up? Was it when you hit the attack button, or after the boss already disappeared? We're trying to figure out which exact step is triggering it, so any details you can provide would help (we're currently unable to replicate it here, it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone).

2: If you had the problem earlier and are about to beat another boss, and can get us a screenshot of the error message, that would also be extremely helpful.

The last kill strike is when the unknown error occurs. If we hit again the boss disappears. Log out come back in an search for new item.

It was doing it to me and giving me money instead of killing him and dissapered after. I would hit it like three times and when you beat him, you get nothing.

You actually don't see him die. But with how much health he had left and the fact news feed registers it I presumed as much.
Which is troubling now that you mention it. Could be 18 pissed off winged bosses out there waiting for payback lol

You might also ask players what version they are using. I am on 3.0 and have not had this problem. Seems to me something was broken in the last update. Others have also complained that multiclick looting is broken again, goodfella bonus doesnt work, and a general slowdown of operations and more frequent freezeups. None of which occur on 3.0 to my knowledge.

Hi CJ, if you guys are still looking into this, I actually sent in a screenshot with ticket number 252837 showing the point where it happens. I would hit the boss and it does not do anything i.e. take away his final bit of health or subtract from my on hand cash for the hit. It would just give the unknown error and all energy and cash stays the same then I'd just hit him again and at that point he would just disappear and the game would teleport me back to my hood. The cash and xp were added immediately but I have to log out and back in to ramble through my inventory to see what item I won. I am currently running as far as I know the most recent build, version and data. I hope this helps.

Version 3.0.3 with the dataset from Friday.
It occurs only on the kill hit. All 19 times thus far.
I acknowledge the error and click the attack 1 more time then the boss screen disappears.
My cash goes up but my inventory does not update.
I restart the app and my inventory is updated.

Im very impressed that are asking us about it. It's definitly only effecting those who upgraded from conversations Ive had. 24 kills here and I actually dont believe I got equipment for each of those kills as my stats have hardly gone up. But Im sure you guys can look that up. Cheers again for your hard work.

The game didn't crash after the last blow was given, he simply died and I was awarded my item.

I'm running version 3.0.3 build 72 Data: 20121102_3

The kills hot happens, boss does not fold over & die, his health does not go down. The Unknown Error Happened box shows up:

If I click OK, he's still standing there (notice that the cash for the kill has already been awarded)

In the example, I am now holding $5076 so the money and the item (Military Surplus Armor in this case) were awarded, but i had to exit the game and go back in and search through my inventory to find out what i got. If I click force attack again, they fight again, then the whole fight scene disappears.

Not sure if this is related at all, but one of the bosses I fought was standing there naked. It was rather offensive.

On the finally kill attack on boss 17, he actually is naked from head to toe. Upon using the cash attack, a little green +1 appears over my head and the "unknown error" appears. As I'm trying to take the screenshots without a damn SD card in I notice that I'm credited cash for the kill and the boss just disappears leaving me and the error message. Upon using the cash attack again, with no boss present, you are put back in your hood to log out and log back in to find what loot you received by looking through your inventory. I'm on a Droid incredible using Version 3.0.3 build 72 Data 20121102_3. I'll try to send pictures on the next kill.

The loot does drop, i don't know when. I heard you have to restart.
It also doesn't tell you when you can attack again with the countdown
it just tells you when the enemy will escape again.
When you do defeat the boss, it just bounces you out of the event it doesnt tell you anything.

You're wrong about not being credited with the cash. Look at my 2 pictures. My cash went from $2xxx to $5xxx after I clicked OK.
