Congrats BadNews and Spectra. Interesting, I see boosted stats but the Serpent is still at 620/430 in your inventory Spectra. Wonder if it will stay like that.

Dumb question to both of you - did you get both a Sands of Time and the Tempus Serpent, or just the Serpent when you opened the chest?

Congrats! I was wondering how this was going to work when I saw it on the splash screen. Good to know that there's an chance of getting it with any open.

I'd be pretty surprised if anyone can get more than one, but I guess you never know!

I just noticed that Mithius is on top of this event so far with 51 Sands of Time already. He hit me a couple months ago around the mid 40's level range and I took some screenshots of his kingdom. It was pretty obvious that he was a gem spender, and obviously still is. I've seen him in the top 50 of just about every auction event since then.

5 attempts with only 2...it's going to be a long 5 days. Plan not to waste gems on this event as there is no garruntee.
But if I get that Serpent it will all be worth it! Well done guys so far, this has added new life to this event with the random possibility of getting something worth while. I still see no point in spending 100's of gems for next to no garruntteed reward.

He should slot in the middle well! That's if I get it...these events always have the same result for me. The last two events I got zip opened in the final 3 days! And I opened up 16 each day for 3 days with nothing but sorry, honor and gold!
Last time I used gems was the final straw for me never using them in this event again. 12 opens in a row with gems for nothing but gold and honor! BULL$H1T!

6 opens this morning with gold for nothing but sorry's and gold... this event is pointless! Only worth it if you have thousands of dollars to blow, but even then, you are not garruntteed to recieve an hour glass. I'm beginning to think there's no point using gold, haha!

Anyone having luck go there way? I'm sure only the gem players are getting it as per usual.

or if he pays the 25 Gem opener wich does not Gaurentee Sand of time' i tried (Failed)

Totally Agree mate! As someone who jumped in to give it a go earlier in the game I realised what a load of **** this really was getting gems for these RANDOM events. The boss one is the only event that actually gives you a garruntee on your gem investment.

In the end though I've gotta be honest and say, why wld you spend hundreds of dollars to purchase 2D figures in a little 2D game? I couldn't even justify it in a 3D game for that matter. RIDICULOUSLY INFLATED PRICES AND WE CONTINUE TO FALL FOR IT WHILE THE GAME DEVELOPERS EMPTY OUR POCKETS!!! Wake up people!

Yes that was wonderfull :-). I got from 6 to 23 which currently lands me in top 50, with a real change of staying in top 250 (as I don't use gems), using about 140K gold during that.

That Boycot is looking better by the minute.Theres quite a few flaws about the game, for the event if you wait out the hour and when it counts down to 0 click the open option right away. In doing so you get to open 2 boxes at a time and it works sometimes. Theres also a flaw for the boss event also..

Haha. I don't know if what I experienced was the same as you, but basically the screen kept going back to the 3 choice screen. I was hitting the gold option, but was just getting repeated sorries, albeit it wasn't deducting gold either. Oh well, I didn't benefit, but glad you did :)

As for some people spending lot of money on this game, well for the benefit of the newer posters, please remember that these are the people who finance the game for the free and light gem players. So, be appreciative, ok?

Btw...what's everyone's gold option cost them? Mine are 2800 apiece. It's increased throughout these events.

Yeah I was able to open all my crates but only had 8 of them. Got tempus so that was great. Then I went PvE to get some more but after each kill I would get my energy back and lose the drops I.e. It would just reset. So went through about five high level maps and drained all the monsters down to one hit.

I guess this is this weeks f**k up by Gree. Very disappointing for those who have paid.

unfortunatley i didnt get this ,BUT what i got was something WEIRD! Had the Serpent Flash come up after logging back on then went to my kingdom and found i was UPGRADING 5 Buildings at the 1 time (as i dont have any of those double build units) odd but i didnt care it only to 8 minutes to upgrade them all ..2 farms to level 6 a silo to level 7, 2 cottage 1x 7 and 1 x 4

If you are paying $2,800 per try that means you are level 112 :D

It increases every level you gain I'm lvl 132 and it costs me 3300 apiece

level 132 * $25 = $3,300

I am level 159 and each try cost me $3,975 (every time you level up, the cost to open boxes during events increases by $25)

Well, it's confirmed. This is a rigged event.
All day yesterday, I used the gold option and got nothing but sorry's, gold and honor. Not one Sand of Time!!! This is the third event that this is happening...coincidence or just bad luck? I have gems and I ain't using them GREE! Not falling for your crap! I'd put money on me not opening another successful box for the final few days!

You can sit there with your little ****** up finger on the button preventing me any more Sands of Time! I'm not gonna waste my money or time in believing this is random **** anymore! Last time I spent big on an event like this I wasted $109 on getting 2 successful opens...i won't be doing that again!

The Boycott looks like the goods to me! It's time to **** em up!

This is the second day of nothing...still on 9.

I've boycotted ll games now. I can see right through these bastards. It's obvious that when you have gems sitting in your account there is a cut off point where they don't allow you to recieve successful opens until u start using your gems.

This will be the 3rd or 4th time this has happened to me...NO IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE! You can't say that this is happening randomly as this happens every time I play with gems in my account.

Just got my Tempus Serpent at 60 sands of time thats over 100 cases open to get 1. Tested the 40% honor and its hard to tell but I get a couple of 1 honor now and then but who cares got my serpent and to though I was gonna retired if I didnt get one

Did I read somewhere that your odds increase the more boxes you open? That would make sense as last time I looked they had 152 sands and only 8 serpents (1 for every 20 sands).

On another event I recorded some stats on the cash option. Which came out as:
- 40% chance to open a box
- boxes contained 50% sands, 25% honour, 25% cash
- So hitting the cash option 60% sorry, 20% sand, 10% honour and 10% cash

So based on a 1 in 20 Serpents to sands you would have to use the cash option 100 times to get the serpent. Or 20 times a day for five days (on average). Better set those alarm clocks or open the wallet.

I'm with The1nOnly. I've been tracking my opens for the past 4 box events and I've not received a successful open in the last three days 4 events in a row now! THAT my friend is a consistent pattern of how rigged this event is.

I've joined a boycott of all GREE games. They know it and are trying to force me to spend my gems on this rigged event! Ain't gonna happen.

10 sands but finally got my serpent which makes it all worthwhile. Can everyone relax about the Greeeed, the free player does not pay the developers and other costs the gem players do...their job is to get people to spend money as much as possible even if that means getting the higher people to spend more while losing the casual gem spender. If they get the cost/benefit ratio wrong they will tinker like you've seen in the past....I'm free so i play and enjoy the game i stop enjoying i'll stop playing. I chose not to buy gems although i do support them using the tap joy vendors because i cant see paying 100's to 1000's on a video game

I typically do well getting to 5, then it takes at least a couple days to get to 10. Right now I have been stuck at 9.

It seems like the odds for me are getting worse, as I would almost get to 20, but now am lucky if I get to 15.

Hahaha! Nah, I've been keeping an eye on these events since the beginning and this is the forth event in a row I've spent the last 3-4 days receiving nothing? Random luck? NO, I think not. Shifty system...YES! GREE knows I have gems at the ready and once again trying to force me to use them to apparently increase my luck. What a load of crap!

Anyway, I've more reasons to boycott than simply not getting what I want. If it were truly random then, hey, I'd take it on the chin.

Unfortunately not much of what's happening behind the scene is here on the KA forums but if you pop over to MW, you'll see a continually growing support behind the boycotts relating to all sort of neglect to the game and its players. That's why I'm finally taking a stand. Not to benefit my own opinions, but for all players.

I've been stuck on 7 for almost two straight days. Anytime a box actually opens (all with gold option), which is maybe 1/3 of the time, I get gold or honor. That's nice, but I'm playing for the sands. I'm growing quite frustrated with these events. I used to buy gems and use them on the guaranteed open option, but haven't done that in months now due to the extremely low chance of actually getting the event collectible (sands in this case). It's not worth spending gems for gold or honor, sorry GREE.

Seriously? How many times do you attempt to open per day? I'm stuck at 6 sands no tempus, gold option completely after some free options the first day. I'm sure you've been much better at hourly than I have but still... I've had a total of 10 open. Honor points 3 times (thanks but I don't need them - unless you release some better things to spend honor points on), gold once, 6 sands. The Tempus actually got me trying on this event. I took the last few auctions off (only free option opens - got the 5 open prize in one of those 3.

It amazes me how some have managed to get 25 or beyond, as well as multiple Tempus Serpents using only gold, while others are stuck between 5-10 and no Rares.

I should point out I open at least 16 per day, with maybe 1/3 opening. For the past several box events my luck has gotten progressively worse. Best I ever did was 20 months ago, last few events I've gotten 15, then 10, and now 8 (so far). I'm definitely wondering if they've decreased the odds of the event collectibles, while increasing the odds of honor or gold.

^ when they were adjusting something for dst the countdown disappeared. I had eight boxes and opened them all in 5 minutes without gems. The funny thing was that I opened the first 5 with the gold option then realized that I should be using the free option. If you read further back there were several other things that people took advantage of like dual upgrades and energy problems.

I would like to ask how big is your sample size of the two varying options (gold and free) to get to 20%? It's also easier to pick up # items in the first few opens before gold, honor becomes much more common in latter opens.

In addition, your estimates need to work in the fact that even with 20% chance of the cash option = sand, there exists the possibility of picking up gold, honor from other opens. So in a 5 day event, opening 10 per day, 50 per event on average will not get you there to the #10 unit.

The estimates are based mainly one one event I went hard on where I tried to opened 70 using the gold option. I recorded all attempts and hence the estimates. But they seem consistent with subsequent events where I normally try to open around 50.

My estimates are 60% sorry 20% sand 10% honor 10% gold.

Great to hear from people who have more accurate numbers though.

This event will end in a few hours. If you still want to get some chances on getting the bonus rare Serpent, better farm Aged boxes and go overtime. If you are not sure what is overtime in auction events means...its to keep the menu open for the event. You have to keep your device on (set the auto sleep in never in your iphone,Ipad,Ipod). You cannot go to any other app except KA. You cannot even Collect from your money building in the game. I suggest plug the charger. Keep trying to open all your farmed cases until there is nothing left to open. It might actually take you a day or two, depending how many cases you have. One of those case might be the rare unit or enough Sands of Time to get to 25 to get all the units. Every Sands of Time opened after the event is over is not counted for the top250 or top50 of course. Btw, there is a possiblity to overheat your device due to the length of time it is actually open. Haha it is tempting isn't it. I haven't landed a Serpent either, only reason I've been participating in the event. The fact that they added boosted stats is just icing on the cake, the 5 and 10 item prizes were near garbage before this addition lol.

Do you have the Holy box Event tier Doc..? the top 250 & top 50 pics. Holy box event was my favorite event so far...

I sent you a PM, that's about the best I can do. The KA files are harder to sift through than the MW and CC ones.

Stuck on 19 and was hoping for 20. I had the timer set to do my last open with an hour left and the event was gone. Maybe Gree ended it early to stop everyone doing OT.

That is strange. I was flipping between MW, KA and MQ few minutes before the timer ended. No problem with the case not showing. Probably right. Damn DST change.

I know how you feel as I've played these since the start. The last 4 events have given me nothing on the final 3 days, consistently! With each of these events i attempted to open 16 boxes a day...nothing but crappy cash and honor. ended with 9 in total, all received in the first 2 days just using gold. However, with these past 4 events I have had Gems in my account but have not used them. It's clear that GREE are trying to force me into using them.

The last time I spent Money(Gems) on an event like this I wasted $109(1500) on nothing! That my friend is a serious issue as this is NOT a gambling app...is a bloody computer game.

Anyway... enough of my ragging! Get on-board!

Finished 4th in the event, and 6 serpents.

I opened 15 boxes via gold/reset and got 2 serpents in the last hour. It seems like you get the most rares in the last hour.

Thanks..! I didn't get the 25 sand unit too which is the gene look alike. I wanted to get that bad boy but Gree close the event before it was over. I guess they don't want players to stay OT...I hope i'll get the 25th next time around..!
