I LOVE it! RigaTony lol. Welcome to the dark side. I just got the update, but had to go to Crime City in GooglePlay and hit the update (which wasn't there 1/2 hour ago). The comments still say "-New! Scratchers!!" so maybe this was a Google issue......

Same thing happened to me.

I end up wasting 43 stamina trying to activate an epic boss fight. Then when I finally do, I win and get a blank item. No stat increases.

The reason for blanks - loot showing is from last event and it is not currently in dataset for current boss I guess. When you win an item, system couldn't find it in dataset and gives you blank. Simple but CRAP as I wasted 3 bosses already :(

Everybody will be getting blanks until they switch it to current boss (Chen) loot. Which is some kind of samurai armor etc...
You trigger the boss and you see RARE fancy samurai armor picture - you good to go. If not, don't waste them. Wait for the next one and see if it fixed or log out and login back (after boss is triggered) to see if fix has been applied.

But then I test the software before i release it to people, fix the issue, release the software afterwards and don't embarrass myself.

I just triggered two boss events back to back with two wins, received 20k on first and 24k on seconds with stat increase but the item received is blank. I suppose I'll have to wade through my inventory to see exactly what was given.

The Contraband Switchblade was not listed as one of the Dragon Chen loot items.. so I'm not sure what Gree is doing at the moment. Also, I checked my inventory and didnt notice the item or a stat increase.

The event is supposed to be extended until Saturday although the countdown clock for the even still says less than 24 hours.

Gree is sending all types of mixed signals.

16 blanks so far. But based on my item list from robbery screen. I got 3 unshown items with stats over 100+.

13 was all I could get, though I was pvping the whole time and my toilet paper would fluctuate up and down, so I probably could have gotten one or two more bosses if I could have "farmed" more tp.. Ah well, still overly pleased the boss events are here on droid, even if I did get crap drop rates. Being over level 101 (and a free player) when boss events are finally released sucks bawls.

I got 6 bosses, blank reward but did get the cash with beating the boss and a minor bump up in atk and def.

Even on IOS the first loot was blank. We still got the prize though, check the IOS thread for the items availible and check your inventory to see what items you were given.

I even had last boss' items in my loot list to start with :p

If you weren't given the items, submit tickets I suppose. I'm curious to see how much "testing" went into this on Android. Looks like a cut and paste job so far, which means any problems you guys are having would be the same problems we (on IOS) had. Fortunately, that means any problems can be diagnosed easily :)

took a while to get boss to show up and fight me though. had to attack 10 times=boss showed up. attack someone else 10 times=boss showed up. etc
the last two times i did like 2 or 3 attacks and whammo, there he is again.

Wow, that's a lot more powerful than the first tier prize in iOS isn't it? Seems Gree is giving Android players a chance to catch up, not bad

okay, wtf. i got to and beat boss #10 within first 1.5 hours. let the game sit for 45-50 minutes to regen energy and stamina... started game up, went on attack/rob spree and did a bunch of quick missions like earlier and haven't gotten a single damn boss to show up! anyone else having trouble getting boss to appear?

The item might be in the inventory, but it doesn't count:

When I look at my stats on my Android device, I see:

Attack: 96
Defense: 52
# weapons: 54
# armor: 8
# vehicles: 0 (would LOVE to see this line added to the iOS stat page)

When I look at the RigaTony's profile from my iOS account, I see:

Attack: 223
Defense: 164
# weapons: 60
# armor: 8

The difference (60 vs 54) in weapons count is the number of Bosses that I have beaten. They are:

Really really appreciate Gree for releasing boss event on android but this event is a letdown. Boss defeated but no items given, doesn't help stats at all. And all of a sudden boss stopped appearing & event clock is still ticking. Android users are really losing too much on everything, messed up events, Tapjoy not working & didn't even get the prototype rifle from completing the survey. I just hope android messed up events can be justified in the same way as ios previous boss events, by giving out grand prize or any other good prize at least?? Talk about fairness, equal playing field huh..

OK so I read this and decided to check my version - 1015_1 just like Vito. Then I thought it might help to uninstall and reinstall. The new version from Google is 1002_0!!!!! WTF? The update I got yesterday is dated 2 weeks newer than the fresh install I got today? And neither are dated 1019_1 which is supposedly what we are supposed to have? Why is support telling us to check the build #? It's right there at the top of the email in the info that the game dumps when you contact support!!!

While I was making my last post, bryoreo made his post. I just went into the game and triggered boss#8 in canal street. This means that while support was feeding us canned BS replies they were dotting virtual "I"s and crossing digital "t"s on their end, which is what needed to happen in the first place. What a waste of time and effort.

The last bost I just did seemed to have worked subtly differently from the ones I was doing earlier; timers and especially when you run out of health look to be working slightly differently.

This is probably why they took out the event.

You can trigger the boss with any action in the game basically. Completing a job, robbing or attacking an enemy will have a chance of triggering a boss.

It's weird. My screen doesn't show how long it will take to replenish my energy to kill the current boss but instead it only shows the option to purchase the health kit.

Edit: Juz realised timer for energy replenish is not shown, gotta estimate based on boss runaway timer. Hehe..

you have to wait for your health to replenish. you need at least 25 health to attack chen, since health replenishes at a rate of 1/min, you have to wait 25 minutes until you can attack him 1 more time.

Mine have now started working again.. I noticed the boss event info pop up when I logged in, then tapped one job and got him to appear. Been working fine ever since. Also got credited the items I was missing, even though they're all commons. :(

i second this. and if anyone is having problems getting boss to appear (like me for 8 hours today) check your build and data # should be 69 and 20121024. if not the 1024 ... quit and restart several times rapidly. i had closed and reopened 10 times at least during the day but not 3-4 times rapidly. when i finally did this, it loaded the boss splashscreen again.

The event has started working again for me but the items I've won are still not in my inventory. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that since level 1 they were all RARE and I'm now working on 14 with another rare up for grabs. Here's to hoping it gets resolved and I'm not cheated out of any of them.

For being able to hit the boss for free 13 times.

25 health
Wait one minute - 25+1=26 health left
Attack him 2 more times
26-25-1=0
Then you have used up all of your health and have to buy a med pack!?
What am I missing here?

Start boss fight with a full health bar (our health bar is divided into 4 parts, 1 part = 25 health. 1 health is replenished per min). Hit him 3x, wait 1 min will replenish back 1 health & making it 26 health & this enables u 2 more hits (so total we get to hit the boss 5x by starting fight on a full health bar). Coz Minimum health required to hit the boss is 25 health. For instance if u hit the boss on a full health bar, not waiting that 1 min, u will only be able to hit him 4x instead of 5x, hence the 1 min strategy. i second this. and if anyone is having problems getting boss to appear (like me for 8 hours today) check your build and data # should be 69 and 20121024. if not the 1024 ... quit and restart several times rapidly. i had closed and reopened 10 times at least during the day but not 3-4 times rapidly. when i finally did this, it loaded the boss splashscreen again.

This is starting to tick me off.

I was using data 69 and 20121024_2 this morning, after reading through all this thread I thought perhaps needs a reinstall.

no and no. you need the 20121024_2 data version (thats a date ie oct 24) go update to it. that will have boss splashscreen.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm on build 69, 20121024_2. I did not do any reinstallation. Same as daystardawg, I tried to open & close app several times & each time after I close the app, I'd clear the phone memory.

Ok, so after my 6-7th restart I am now showing 20121024_2, This is of course sound reasoning.

Kinda funny really, If I hadnt read about it all over the forums, I would literally be none the wiser about any boss event at all. This is what happens When you give your customers the ability to talk to each other and share experiences!

If you level up during the attack you can get an extra 5 hits. :)

have used a little gold so far today and have beaten boss #19. working on 20 now, but don't know if i'm gonna beat him cause 5 attacks only took off about 15% of his health. might get pricey gold wise to go any further.

Well with the TP explosives stat boost I was able 2 defeat the boss 2 more times for 21 victories. I am now up to an astonishing 20 commons and 1 uncommon.........

Yeah I'm on Boss 17 now. I was going for 20 but I stopped at 17. I was on #17 yesterday but he's stupid hard and I don't feel like wasting anymore time with it. I did manage to score the rare "armor" and rare "ceremonial thing" and a bunch of uncommons

On boss 22 and about to beat him. I have 31 TP explosives 15k + extra attack i'm gonna keep collecting them till the event is over. Only thing that sucks is i have only gotten 2 rares so far.

I got 16 wins, but could not beat #17 using cash attack...I did not get any rares with the 16 wins, but still happy to get epic boss event for android.

I started at level 14 and am now level 30. I have defeated him 45 times. I have gotten 10 rares, 10 uncommon, and 25 commons. No gold spent. Nice and easy at the first tier, especially with the toilet paper explosives.

Did a final attempt on lvl 22 boss with the help of leveling up. Managed to kill him & got a Traditional Jian. Overall I'm happy with wat I've got so far & looking forward to the next boss event. :D

Thanks Gree for making boss event come true on android. Previously I said that this event was a letdown, at that time I was feeling frustrated that survey prize wasn't given out as promised plus the hiccups from previous droid events & then first 24hrs of boss event was messed up too. Now I'd take those words back. Thanks once again Greee!!

Well looking it seems most people had no problem defeating first 10 bosses but than it get tougher 10-15 most moderate players could defeat but only strongest could defeat past 20. :)
