Impossible to beat 30 boss in 5-25 division as a free player

It looks like you need a attack of 20k to beat him 30 times. At level 11 it seems impossible as a free player unless you get 20 6x scratcher items which can take 20 years if I'm lucky. Why is it so hard to beat it well there goes that dream. It takes 50k stats in the higher division which is obtainable as a free player. I'm sad now

Oh flannyboy. The forum member AHA beat him 30 times in that bracket with no gems. Just need an army of flaming cats and lots of armor and weapons. I'm guessing it can be done at level 50 too as I estimate it takes 50k stats and I happened to run into someone with those stats I will see if I can find out

I'm a free player and I had ~20k before I got to level 25. They just didn't have boss events yet at the time.

The last boss came when I was level 50/51 (leveled after the trigger so played one tier lower than my level at the time) and I beat 30 bosses with a total of only 40 gems. I got those gems for free, and I earned them back for free the very next day. Stats only ~40k at the time.

So there you go. It's doable as a free player.

I even won a 250 item in KA for free once (darkwood ballista), and I currently have one more item than the 250 spot for this event. No gems.

I don't expect it to hold to the end of the event though. Even one top 250 prize without gems isn't something anyone should ever expect. I didn't, and I doubt it will happen again.

I'm stocking up on Hydras now. Same attack as the ballistas but better defense than the high priests I almost wasted a lot of time/gold working towards. Glad I avoided thatvmistake.

I calculated at lv 19 the best stats available are 9735 with boosted stats that's 14k stats still not enough to beat 30 bosses

I'm going the more cost effective, less time route and making up for it with gems. But that's still probably four boss events away before I think about going for it. Hopefully that means 3 more of the strong units you get for beating 15.

Well it's possible it's not obtainable at my level so I have a new strategy

I will level to 19 when my attack reaches 3169 atk so I can beat him 15 times than I will fill my army with the good equipment that might take awhile though

Unless you are at a very high level, I think hydras are a waste of time and money...just go straight for dragons.

Just hit level 53 today. My defense isn't great to start with, so I'm bumping that up a bit before I have to be over vault for so long while saving for the last two BD upgrades. That also gives me time to do the last lumber mill upgrade and a few IPH upgrades to make the saving happen a little faster.

I don't PvE or PvP in a way that will earn me any significant amount of gold because I don't want the XP. I do the bare minimum in terms of earning event boxes or triggering bosses, and I almost never raid or PvP at all. I was comparing stats the other day and spotted a manor, so I had to raid it, but that's the only stamina I've used for weeks.

Max high priests is much cheaper than max hydra though...then go str8 for dragons...that's what I did...currently level 71 with 92k/68k stats (old...unboosted)

I misread your earlier post and thought you already had high priests currently...so I was recommending maxing them...I actually went with max high priest and siege towers for my BD run...almost at 1000 dragons now...only bought 5 hydras total (and still have 3)...I guess you could buy a lot of hydras, but BD9 and BD10 really can go by fast if you do a LOT of PvE and PvP while collecting for those upgrades.

I'm cool with keeping it slow. CC is my "main" game, I get my PvP and PvE fix over there. I think I already have 50 or 60 hydras, but I'm thinking I might keep going until my defense hits 45k. I don't really know, I haven't planned that far ahead yet. I've been actually taking the time recently to compare stats against players on the rivals list, and for now hitting 45k seems like I should be safe from a good majority of rivals.

You are correct that it is impossible as a free player at level 11. I was level 25 before I was strong enough to do it.

You will probably only get one chance to do it before you go into the next bracket maybe two chances if you are incredibly patient and get 19-20k stats by level 20 which, as Albeezy points out, is theoretically possible.

If I were you I would go to boss 15 only for now, you should pick up a few rare units without levelling too much.

I wouldn't waste my time or $$ getting the lumber mill upgraded to 10. The savings from it are not worth the time/effort. I would just focus on upgrading the gold buildings and/or getting BD to 10.

Wow Really? My account must be pretty Screwy then because Right now i'm level 30 with 21k attack and 46 attack points. I didn't try to get to 30 but it took my 9 Cash hits to beat 15. I didn't even bother going further at that point

I just crunched some numbers and with 13300 attack and 60 gems you can beat 30 bosses in the bottom tier. I'm planning on doing this twice. Currently rocking 5500 attack at level 10 so a little way to go.

I have not unlocked Flamng catapults yet but that's a priority of mine so I can start filling those into my army

A simple yet effective strategy is to fill your army with flaming catapults and top lv 20 equipment but you level up by only getting the 15th unit each time this should allow you to beat the boss for free at lv 20

I'm planning to do this and hopefully I can do it twice but I'm doubtful of it

You can 100 percent get to the 30th boss as a free player in the lowest bracket. It requires a good amount of camping, don;t do any of the quests like in the begining it says upgrade your barracks to lvl 2 and it tells you to purchase units , forget about all that. you building yourself a siege workshop, get that baby to level 10. I upgraded my workshop during the day so all my money building could be collected for gold, and then have an upgrade for money building while i slept. At low levels players vaults are small so theres plenty of unvaulted gold and your hit every silo you see.

I got up to boss 27 and i only had about half of max flaming caps, so it can def be done, i also purchased some medium strength weapons and armor. its very possible, i get to bored and can't camp for long so im in the 26-50 boss bracket and ive reached level 20 easily, im going to stick around here to try to get to boss 30 with some juicy weapon upgrades.

Strong economy is important, and doing waste money on building buiildings that dont generate money, you should only build flaming caps, they have a defense of 16 which is about as good as you can get in that bracket for a unit.
