Ohhh! Now that would be a Contest.... To see who could first collect all six (1 of 6) items! The Prize would have a Negative Modifier, and like herpes, no one, not even Gree could rid you of it......

I don't complain about it. Just reporting observations. :cool:

I mean, it would be really cool if I could get even a 4x every now and then, but that's only happened three or four times. Nothing better than a 4x either, but I constantly see players who are obviously free players and they have a lot more than four 4x scratch items, and many even have two 5x scratch items.

A little bit odd that, considering most of the gold players I run across have similar luck to mine and don't have anything better than a 4x item.

I don't think simply the odds of getting however many of the same item are the only factor that determine scratcher results. I think they have different players grouped into different codes and some get lucky while other "get jealous" (and spend $ for gold in frustration?).

Hey, they have a system like that in KA, so they know exactly how to pull it off. For anyone who is unaware, some KA players have "boosted stats", and some have regular stats. Everyone is on the same server, and apparently the boosted players see everyone as having boosted stats while the regular players see everyone as having regular (non-boosted) stats. Fair enough, right?

Come epic boss time, who has the advantage? Everyone sees the same boss with the same health.

I'm not about to speculate about the motive behind such a scheme, but it definitely looks like a way to target specific groups of players to see if they can be squeezed.

well big thing to remember is any time you are looking at a lottery or game of chance the big thing to remember "is the house always wins". Why is this important to remember? Well consider this unlike using six 6 sided dice to determine the winning of a lottery ticket you have code that may or may not be weighted by some outside factor and to be random there is some source for the seed number.

For the house wins they determine the odds for the various prizes, with the mind that the customers will get x return but the house will also make a profit. Granted what ever prizes are given by the daily free ticket is just an enticement factor for people who have gold to buy more tickets. But in the case of a state or casino if they lost money at the game in question they would be out of business before too long. In an electronic game the idea is to give the customer more reasons to spend their gold so they will buy more. If you get lucky do you buy more to get more tickets or do you realize you are ahead and walk with your current winnings? The answer to this question determines if your addicted to gambling or not.

I'm yet to get a 5x item in either of my high or low level accounts. Nor do I expect to get one soon... I've played since its creation and have only gotten two 4x items (one on each account). I appreciate the free scratchers but they feel like more of a tease than anything else.

On the other hand though, The scratchers have helped make my camper account much stronger than it would have been otherwise. Being low level and a free player, not many 15+ stat items are available so I viewed almost everything as a big win. The money and respect aspects also helped further my account and developed it's economy at a much faster rate because of the few $100,000 that I won and the better protection items at lower levels.

Overall It is definitely a neat event geared at hooking in lower levels for its strongly beneficial aspects. But for the higher level players, the rewards become more and more useless or common until the higher reward-lower probability options are realized and are often never achieved. (at least not yet)

Kind confused. I have gotten one of each through free scratchers and I can show proof. I know at least one other person who have got a 6 as well not to mention heaps of people with 5s. Just do some fights and you see them everywhere. I do agree 6s are extremely rare.

So it's doable. It's definitely not 0 %.

look at it this way
6 different tokens
6 tokens drawn
so 6 six sided dice.

given this the Rarest odds to get in order are

6 token prize
5 token prize
1 token prize (no matching tokens, then need to determine results of 6 way tie)
4 token prize
3 token prize

easiest to get is 2 token prize.
the three and two token prize also might deal with the tie randomization after the tie.

If you want to try an experiment get 7 six sided dice. with one being a different color from the others.

roll the seven dice ignoring the seventh except in a tie.

if it's a 6 way tie the winner is the number on the seventh die
if it's a 2 way tie (2 or 3 token tie) then on seventh die 123 lower number wins otherwise higher wins
three way tie then on seventh die 12 lowest number tie wins; 34 middle wins; otherwise highest wins

record the results of fifty or hundred rolls hopefully in a spreadsheet
assign each number to a different token
record the winning token
count how many of each and you will get a nice bell curve with the 2 token probably being highest 3 token being second and 4 token next.

Hey, they have a system like that in KA, so they know exactly how to pull it off. For anyone who is unaware, some KA players have "boosted stats", and some have regular stats. Everyone is on the same server, and apparently the boosted players see everyone as having boosted stats while the regular players see everyone as having regular (non-boosted) stats. Fair enough, right?

I got a second Tiger Blades last scratcher. Still never seen anything better than a 4x...

My 4x items so far:

Tiger Blades x2
4x Cash - no fewer than two times
4x RP - no fewer than two times
Despoiler x1

Two of the scorpion guns and one more despoiler and I have two complete sets of 4x, excluding "plus" (boosted) items.

A little disappointed with the only rare I got from Willie King. The Irie Supporter added less to my attack than the Tiger Blades. I'll take it, but still would have preferred either of the other two rares.

Still hoping to see any 5x or 6x gun/melee/vehicle/armor before finishing two complete 4x sets.

lvl 71 and yes low lvl are more lucky... my main don't have one good items...and he is 115. i got on camper 3x 300 more power.... more succes on boos epic too.. under lvl 50 that easy to win on event boss.
i got the chief car too.. and the 2 other items froms this epic boss.. i got power.. with an account who i don't spend an$ like my main on android...a car like this if u buy in Gold is more 1000 Gold o that not bad to win that....

I havent done better than 2x items for a couple months it seems...maybe one 3x car but thats it. I feel like they nerfed scratcher grabs recently, not that i ever did well. Only three 4x items ever, even after dumping some serious gold into scratchers early on.

I got myself a power racer and a few despoilers over last couple of months. Most recently though any items have been utter cr@p. I'm level 145, I quite often get 10k, which makes me grind my teeth as I have a 329k IPH. Biggest RP win was 5000 on my level 45 camper account.

Its annoying that I see many other players my level with much better results, often with 3 or more of the 5x prizes. I can tell they have been playing for the same amount of time or less because they don't have the Close Combat MG in their inventory. (The anniversary gun given to everyone just before I switched from iOS)

While I'm on the subject, odd thing I did see earlier to day was a player in my rival list, lvl 22, a load of buildings ready to be robbed, had the Close Combat MG in his inventory, and NOT ONE scratcher prize in his whole inventory. Struck me as odd.

Since post #124 I have received a third Fluid Transfer, a second Despoiler, and my first Scorpion Elite which gave me one complete set of 4x scratchers. Another 4x gun and I'll have two full sets.

At this rate I will likely have three or four full sets of 4x before I get anything better. Not that it matters though, most of my rivals seem to have a 5x or 6x item, or even multiple 5x/6x items, and I still wipe the floor with them. I's a bit strange though, most of the rivals I can't beat (heavy spenders with crazy stats) also don't have any 5x or 6x scratch items.

Both today and yesterday I got my free scratcher many hours later than usual, and I think I skipped a day the other day when I was doing overtime trying (failing) to get that sleigh.

I got a lowrider (1x) yesterday as punishment for doing OT, even though it crashed out on me. I got my third tiger blades (4x) today though.

That's cool and everything... I mean, 4x used to be pretty rare for me. But now that they're so common (I might have three complete sets pretty soon) I can't help but wonder when I'll finally get something better.

Not that it really matters. A few hundred points means sh!t now, but a new picture somewhere in the top 10 - top 40 is always nice.

I have two free 5x scratchers now... In KA.

In KA my stats are 98k/84k, with only 330 allies and not a penny spent.

In CC I'm at around 95k/96k (profile d), and that's with a full mafia and some gold spent.

I have much better "luck" acquiring strong units in KA though, compared to my luck with getting stronger items in CC. One theory I have is that the same declining drop rates we see in collect-10 box events could be applied to scratcher results. The difference, however, is that the drop rate declines each time you gain a level rather than each time you receive some specific item.

Like I said though, just a theory. I don't believe the scratcher results are quite as random as Gree would like us to think.

I've been playing since like back in October and I haven't gotten a single despoiler and fluid transfer. However, plenty of ****ty viking blades! (considering that particular item is like a big fat middle finger to me whenever I look forward to something decent for once).

I've managed to score 100,000 RP once (helped with the RPG and Full Combat Armor purchases) and just this week, I managed to score my first Dragon Star, Scorp Elite, and 1 million in cash for the first time. Now I just want to win a Power Racer; even a couple of fluid transfers will do ;_;

I don't feel too terribly proud about the 100,000 RP since I rob and attack so much that I get crazy amounts in no time (having the Untraceable Rifle helps) and even more so because of the Thug Life events.

The other night I got my own drunken Scorpion Elite, and last night I got my fourth Tiger Blades. I had never seen two 4x in a single week before, and now that I have it will probably be another two months before I see anything better than 3x.

It's pointless. It's probably meant to appeal to new players since everything will improve their stats that early in the game. Get people used to spending and used to the idea of spending on a gamble. Then when scratchers stop doing anything they will move on to buy other things to replace the stuff they already bought.

If you fall for that con, you deserve to be had.

And I know it's crazy to complain about a 6x scratcher, but it singlehandedly un-camped my Level 5 account I was really working hard on: did 0 jobs, collecting LMs every 5 minutes, etc, then the Axe of Uncamping pushed me through several mafia atk/def goals and I instantly jumped a couple levels, plus now I can't lose to random noob attacks so it's just been raining EXP ever since.

The upside is that I'm now 1800 ATK, 1900 DEF, $24k IPH at Level 8 w/ 0 losses so far. And I started a third account and found how to avoid the scratcher after all, so I'm camped at Level 2 w/ $16k IPH (3 ATK, 1 DEF, 0 wins).

Rest assured though, my year-old Level 166 account gets a daily $10,000 / 250RP just like everyone else. [just checked that one: best loot is 4 Tiger Blades, 5 Scorpion Elites, 1 Despoiler, not bad]

I have noticed that a lot of the higher (4-6) scratcher awards tend to go to those that don't spend gold or don't have a lot of IPH. How do I know this? Scratcher wins are top on their list and not a lot of wins from Boss events etc.
