Cosmonaut Box Event!

How it works:



Players will earn lockboxes by fighting enemies throughout the game (PVE), and by attacking rivals that already possess unopened lockboxes (PVP). A player can hold an unlimited number of lockboxes.



Tapping on the event icon in the lower left corner of the screen will open the event page, showing the following:

A: Link to the leaderboard and event info

B: Current number of gems and the amount of gems to reach the top X

C: Time until event ends

D: Event progression prizes and how many gems are required

E/F: Top X/Y prizes

G: Current number of lockboxes

H: Lockbox opening methods and their costs



Each time you open a lockbox there is a chance you will receive an item, a gem, currency, or nothing at all. Opening a lockbox using gold/gems completely removes the chance to get nothing.



Event Rewarding:


At the end of the event, the amount of players and gems they accumulated will be calculated, and the top X will receive the associated award. The player will receive an end of event popup (displayed upon first login if not in-game) displaying what they’ve won.

Doug is a test account, you shouldn't be able to find him.

Also, since I saw people asking in another thread, the bonus is +3 energy per tick.

To be clear - how much time is in a "tick"?I think they are trying to be clear about how the boost is actually implemented, which is good. When they did the last energy boost unit, they said it was 60% faster energy regeneration, but what they ended up doing was adding 2 each "tick", which is usually a minute. This was a 67% boost in energy gained, but not actually "faster" as in a time boost.

Maybe there was another unit somewhere along the line that actually did decrease time to regenerate? Otherwise, I don't know why not just say +2 per minute.

I disagree, at higher levels this is a great item to have. Allowing u to have more opportunities to get rare drops from high level missions?
I wish I had $1000.00 expendable bucks to go for it.

Whats everyones strategy to get so many boxes with the cosmonauts in them, so fast?! Im using tapjoy but im down to only getting 1 gold per app :/. If anyone has a better strategy besides buying gold, please share :) 439 004 005

The reason I asked about a "tick" is because I thought it was 3 minutes - but then it seems like it is one minute - but I have so many boosted rewards I can't remember if there was a time booster somewhere for this. Maybe it's the other stamina bar that has the 3 minute "tick".

When the "67%" faster Energy Regeneration bonus was first rewarded on a previous event prize - I calculated 180 seconds (3 minutes) times 67% to get 59 seconds ( one minute ) so when I realized the points went from 3 to 5 (also a 67% difference) I thought that perhaps there was finally a bug that worked out in OUR favor - 135% increase instead of just 67%.

Like the collect 10 event - not working for me, no boxes found after doing lots of PVE and PVP. It always shows 0 cosmonaut boxes... Last time, the support said they are working on it, this time, too.
I am a believer ;-) Camping and waiting...

I´m pulling out. I gathered 46 Cosmonaut boxes and opened only 8 (got the Rough Terrain Buggy, 2x Boneyard APC´s and 300,000 in cash)... Got 15 "Sorry, better luck next time bla bla" messages also.


Think I will start camping now and only play the Boss-events (Focus on my economy + build a strong deffence army) ..I´m at lvl 64 now.

Good decission. I still cannot find or get any boxes, the support is still looking for the problem... But it does not matter anyway. The units you receive are pretty worthless for the upper levels anyway - like the smaller units from the limited editions are.

Camping and prevent levelling up, maybe Boss hunting (might be good for lower thiers if you invest gold and go for the loot unit till the end).

This event was rubbish... didn't pop on Android for 2 days then collected 40+ crates.
12+ attempts daily and only 6 sprockets.
Medium chance = sorry x48 +
I'd hate to think if you only went for the free option.
