If you want more attack go for ead if you want more def go with heli , personally I would spend it as you are near level 130 and I would go heli for more defence .

If you need it to beat the boss, i would spend half now on heli's and save the rest. Otherwise i would save it for the next strongest unit always keeping plenty to replenish units you lose.

I don't know about casualty rates but yes you can and will lose valor units when you are attacked.

Hi Fun:
From my experience the EAD and EOH have proven to be the Worst TWO units to have in my inventory.

The Elite Water Cruiser is the best with the Stealth Frigate not too far behind.
Then a drop to the Super Hornet and until it fell out of my attack force the Strike Eagle was a close match to it.

Next in line is the MLRS, for your situation being Germany there would be a 10% boost which makes it a pretty good defence unit to have.

After this comes the Hardened Marine and GIGN and trailing them badly the EAD and EOH.

Were I in your situation I would
Save at least 100k of that Valor for when you can finally get the Water Cruiser.
Drop my allies to under 498 to avoid becoming a target for the 499 plus Valor missions.
Focus on obtaining some of the high end loot items to give your A/D stats a bit of a quick boost.
Do an initial spend of say 30k on a variety of Valor units and test the loss rates yourself, it may be that different countries experience different loss rates and the EAD may be the ideal unit for you until the boat becomes available.

When you determine the best unit stock up, but always try to keep a good Valor bank in reserve. The elite boss events are useless to try to Valor chase at the higher levels.

depends on your strategy and on your boosts
if you need defense go for the MLRS or the elite ops heli, if attack take a bunch of super hornets or stealth frigates
generally the amount of attack/defense stats you get per valor spent decreases as the units get stronger

another point would be your current rank, you said you've completed captain so i guess it's still a long path to the Elite Water Cruiser and I don't think it's wise to let too much valor lay around for a long time, it's just a waste - technically all these valor units have a LOW casuality rate; now I don't have these shiny water cruiser's yet but I don't think there's any proof that they die slower than others

Without a doubt, save it for the boats. You'll be glad once you get there.

If I had to play this game all over again, I wouldn't spend a single valor point and just use them all once i unlocked the water cruisers.
