Modern War back to get 10 get top prize box event. Will KA follow suit?

Much to my surprise I open up Modern War today and lo and behold it is back to a get 10 "x" (launch codes) and receive the top prize style box event. The big difference though is this event ends in less than 4 days...

Will KA follow suit? My guess is no.

@Echus14: It was the first two events in Kingdom Age. Get to 10 Rare Gems or 10 Rings of Power.

So you are not competing against anyone on leaderboards, your goal is to just open boxes and get to 10 (insert whatever: compasses, blades, rings, gems, stones, elixirs). In between, you get units at the #3, 5, 7, 9 marks.

I see! Had not joined KA at the time when these events were run, so didn't know what it was like. Sounds great. Were there "sorries, better luck next time" in those events too, or were you at least guaranteed gold/HP if you didn't get the desired item?

@Echus14: Sorry, better luck next time is an integral part of the KA lexicon. You can't do without it. That said, I just broke my streak of Sorry(s) with 50 Honor Points!

The event is simple enough just like the box events, PVE or PVP to get boxes, open them with free, gold, gem options.
10 of the specific event item will get you the final unit so everyone has a chance to get them. However the caveat is that the #10, last item is exceedingly hard to get.

I managed to get the Inferno Hydra but not the Devil Warlord.

I hope they go back and do the old stlye again even though we would probably get weaker units but it would be fun to do something different every once in awhile.

I hope that I can stop camping before such an event, otherwise I will have to give it a miss (ARGHHH !). These box events are just to painful in terms of levelling up.

I got to #9 but never to 10. Thought it was impossible, but I wasn't spending gems on it. I even emailed support and they gave me a bs answer about it being random. How can you get to 9 in 15 openings and open 30 more and not see 10? I think I'll pass on it, like I do the box events

Except their answer wasn't bs. The trick was the last item only had about a 1% chance of dropping, so you could open hundreds of boxes and not get it.

Yeah it was pretty terrible getting that last one I never could get it but a lot of people did, way more then 250 so free players have a lot better chance at getting the top prize

True. I am more likely to participate in that event than the current box events. I just know how frustrating it will be to open 50 boxes and not see the #10 so I will probably spare myself and just do the boss events

I cried when I got my devil warlord. It was my second box after 9th ring too lol. I got really lucky.

Sounds like a bittersweet box event. So close, yet so far away!

That is great luck. I'm not so lucky in the box events, but I have more luck with the boss events. Last one I got 6 rares out of 30.

I would prefer the 10 events to the current auctions. At least free players had a chance to get some decent units. Usually 7 or 9 and they would actually play in your game.

I too managed to get the Inferno Hydra but not the Devil Warlord. 9 on the very first day but couldn't pull another one. I was bummed after getting the Hydra so easy (lucky). Of course I was new to KA and didn't understand how hard it is to get the top prize.

Also there was other prizes in those events that nobody wanted. Grunts and Allies.
