I'm sure it's different for everyone but if it helps... I got back-to-back (9 then 10) on the "ruined Humvee -breakdown" in the boneyard. I hit a lot of different targets on a lot of different maps though to get my crates.

If you're farming a good PvE loot for the boxes - then you win other prizes along the way - so for me - 14 Transport Raiders that are almost as good stats as the 10th prize is a pretty good achievement already :)

To all who McDoc'd it in 20-40 tries, I hate you. I have 40+ units and a TON of cash. Yes, enough cash to go from almost 10 mil to a level 5 oil rig upgrade (24 mil from opens), bought 30+ Osprey @ $640k each and about 20 stealth boats at $750k each and two vaults and only got to 9. Will be worth it thought if they bring back the 10 item events! I feel your pain SP!

The units that u acquire for getting successful crate openings at levels 3,5,7,9 & 10 all have differ stats depending upon ur level. Mine at level 74 r lower than the screen shots displayed earlier in this post

My 7th unit has A/D of 42/56 (98 total) while my 9th has stats of 55/42 (97 total) I think My 9 should have attack at least in the mid-60 range to have total stats between 105 and 110 like the majority of the 9th items in previous events. Oh well. It's out of my wallet's hands now! LOL

The longer you wait to spend gold the harder it becomes to get to 10. Easiest (in finger quotes) way to get a 10 item event is to spend gold within 1st 24 hours to do energy refils, gold opens, and gold resets, a system we call McDoc's method thanks to our resident MC who let us all in on the secret...Thanks McD!

Last time I tried it I got to 10 (the last upgrade time reduction boost) I spent 500 gold to get to 10. Paying Gree back for that now I guess!

I finally made it to 10. I took a couple of hours break and then opened a box.
Works better for me then opening boxes with time resets. All terrible loot items.
It took me 3000 gold and 2.5 lvl. I hope it was worth it. The bosses never costed me more than 300 gold so far.

@Tctiger that is exactly how I felt by Gree changing the boss event to 35! If you have to use all 13-15 hits per boss and 1 1/2 hours inbetween to regenerate, you couldn't defeat all 35 in the time alloted!

Keep going because I think the open rate is much better this time! I'm pulling for you and everyone else who is participating.

I spent near 12,000 bars (combined) on two different events, without getting the item. I was livid, and they did nothing but tell me sorry. The first time I complained they credited me like 900 gold. lol. I swore off gold, and then the reduced upgrade item came next and I bought more gold. ;).

When they switched to the auction style, I cut back a ton, and then when they raised the boss kills to 35, I stopped completely. Buying gold used to make the game fun, but when you feel ripped off, you stop.

You sound like a person who just lost his last dollar of gambling money in Vegas on the first day of a week long vegas trip. You and I spent hundreds of dollars for the opportunity to win the 10th item. It sucks REALLY bad, but if you and I had gotten 10 we would not be complaining. Seriously SP, I appreciate the fact that you spent gold and real money on this event because hopefully this is a sign that they are at least thinking about bringing the collect 10s back. I am sure you received a collect 10 prize or two as I have for free. If the collect 10 events come back regularly you will have the opportunity to get more for free and for a select few bonus items try to mcdoc them. That is what I plan on doing at least. It appears that not all may see the same tj promos (majority probably does see the same thing). I have 3 accounts 2 on iphone 1 on ipad. IN MW i see the same promo in 1 of my iphone and Ipad, but not the other iphone. In KA the Tj does not show on my ipad but is available on both my iphone.

All three has the same IOS ver and I update them all at the same time, and I don't have ios6 on any of them yet. The only difference between the three is the time i started them.

Well - the bad news is I'm stuck on #9 (haven't seen that posted in a while)

but the good news is that while farming boxes - I added 14 more Transport Raiders to my inventory (went from 40 to 54) and accumulated 23 million so I could finally spend 19 million on the 10th upgrade on my Air Hanger - so even if the 20% Air Boost is currently invisible - my extra 2% will be good by the end of this event :)

Oh - and I bought Gold for the first time in about 60 days :)

Have got 5 codes so far, which is not bad for the first week of gaming and using only the middle option. QUICK QUESTION - it seems to be much more difficult to get cases/boxes here, than in KA. Usually, after any KA event I would end up with hundreds of unused boxes. Here, after days of relentless attacks on Insurgents base ( as per McDoc's and also because my energy bar is very limited at this stage) I have got less, then a dozen cases. Will definitely need more to get any more prizes. Any ideas, what other early maps might be good for cases harvesting, aside from Insurgents base?

In KA at the later stages of box/case events boxes tend to be very easy to find - last day, or two - any monster you kill would yield a box, which is logical as that could nudge ppl in spending more gems on last minute openings. Here, it seems that the cases get more difficult to get by over time. Strange IMHO

The event says there's only a few days or less left but that's not right, it's suppose to be a week. I've seen before where because of mishaps like that,they extend the event. And cases are easier to get in the last couple days, I think there still scarce because when they started the event, it was only a few days long ,so people still haven't had the chance to build them up.

I find it easier to do the maps and pick up cases from there. I will mostly hit whatever map is available. The probability of finding a case is almost the same for any map, although I believe you get a slight advantage hitting the lowest maps, but many many hits is the downside.

Look at their infantry. For my tier, the recent units to look for are rebel pirate, hardened contractor, hazmat recruit, and of course nuclear intellegence girl. If they have low stats and the hazmat recruit I'll definitely attack 6 times. If the 6th hit gives me a box I'll hit them a couple more times. I'll hit higher stat players if they have nuclear girl. My 25 stamina will bring me about 8 boxes on average.

In case anyone hasn't seen it, I just attacked someone and the order of my units is as follows:

As you can see they are not in the correct order. I am UK so the heavy carrier stats are not 100% accurate as I did not factor in the 10% UK boost. It's attack would be 355.88 with nation boost. Thus, the deadly tiger and elite base defense should be listed before the elite heavy and the BDF and the guerilla striker should be listed in front of the heavy carrier. Is it the same for people with the Bear?

Since then, it's gone WAY down hill. I've opened over 120 crates with gold (and resets by the way -- you can do the math on the gold cost) and still don't have #10. Ouch. In addition, I've leveled up 9 times. Like I said, BRUTAL!

If the toolkit is right this #10 is almost a 1% chance, for this short a period they used to be around 4%. This one is a tough one to start with since its shortened timewise, but throw in the realy low chance % and you got a recipe for alot of gold spending to not get anything.

At your level, you have a 13.79% chance of getting the 8th part (though I got stuck here and opened over 20 to get it).

9th: 6.25%
10th: 2.01%

I check every hour I can but I've never had all those sorries you guys are getting. I would prefer to get a sorry than my last item an Armored Charger 12/14.

I'm also level 129 so my chances of getting any are bad now. Even if I put 10000 into the game for gold, that 1 percent chance to get number 10 is bad. How does Apple and Google even allow this game to be on their markets.

Well stuck on 8 had gold to open/reset... but no luck. At this point can't complain much as I had favored the 10 crate compared to the other one.

With all due respect no one asked you to spend "real money" on the game. You can be a free player if you want.

It is the same thing with lotteries - you can play and spend money every day of your life and not win the jackpot and here comes joe smack with a dollar and a dream who never played the lottery and wins the jackpot.

I know I don't have to. I have spent a little over 3700 gold so I put a lot of money into the game. A lottery would be better because everyone has the same chance to win. Its not like that in this game. I'm level 129. If I got to number 9, I would have a 2 percent chance to win the event item. That tells me I have no chance at winning any other events from here on out. I've been a free player and won the last 4 or so 10 create events as a free player. I can't do it any more. On top of that, the gold to real money ratio is bad. 1 unit should not cost 80 bucks real money.

I've just noticed the 7 item unit has better stats than the 9 item unit.

if the units were cheap then everyone would have the exact same stats which makes the game boring.

Just because you didnt win spending gold doesnt mean you can't win for free. It seems everyone forgot the frustrations we all experienced with the previous 10 item events.

Go back and search the forum. There have always been people that spend a crazy amount of gold and do not win, people that spend no gold and win, and people that spend a little gold (<1000) and win. The difference between the 10 item events and the auctions is that there is a chance to win the boosted unit for free. That is it, a chance. These boost units are not gauranteed. Remember how frustrated WP was during the last 10 item event that had the 20 percent reduction on upgrade times. He spent a ton of gold and didn't win. That stinks. But remember, to win a boosted unit in an auction event you HAVE to spend that crazy amount of gold and there is absolutely zero chance to win it for free. Would I have been frustrated if I had spent the 3000 gold that I did on this event if I hadn't won...HELL YEAH I WOULD HAVE! My point is this, with all of the box events, both auctions and 10 item, there is NO GAURANTEE that you will win. IN the auctions someone can always outspend you, and in the 10 item events luck may not be with you. But hopefully if the 10 item events stick around, you will win some of the boosted units.

I will not spend gold on every crate event, but will for certain types of boosts. When I don't spend gold, I hope to get a free boosted unit as I have done numerous times in the past, but I konw going into it that it is unlikely.

3000 gold is 200 bucks. Putting 200 bucks into a ios game should have you set for a while. Not just for a few day. Gold units are too powerful. I think they should be a bit stronger then normal units with the added benefit of not dying. I'm not sure what your level is though.

I don't even want to admit how much gold I've blown through and have not made it to the 10th item. I'm guessing I've now opened over 150 crates since getting the 9th part. I have a slew of Dragon Soliders, Ghost Hounds and Armored Chargers to prove it. I have 10 crate remaining and enough gold to open them all before the event expires. Wish me luck. Even if I get it, it will NOT have been worth it. My choice though.

HAHA! Yeah $200 bucks I will never get back. As for it lasting a few days, it didn't even last me 2 hours! I probably used 500-600 of the gold I bought on energy resets looking for boxes! It made me laugh when I had used it all up and was only on number 9. In reality, I bought a vault and only got to 8! I was like WTF, having previously only spent $40 and getting to 10 on just that. I then read the posts here saying that 9 was hard and ten was easy so I decided to try a second vault and only got to 9! Seriously 1500 gold used for energy refils, timer resets and gold opens and only got 1 launch code. Sometimes that is how it goes. If you are going to spend gold you have to be prepared for that, even though it makes you feel like you wasted your money.


Funny thing is I resigned myself to having blown $200 bucks on MW without getting the unit and had pretty much given up on trying. Went to a movie on Saturday and right before I went in the theatre I got that message stating I had a handcuff case ready, so I opened the game did a cash open and there was my tenth launch code. Breathed a sigh of relief taht my $200 was not completely wasted, although I probably could have spent it elsewhere and purchased something more useful. Sometimes you just have to indulge the things that distract from real life!
