I have gone back and forth with funzio/gree for almost a year on trying to fix crashes on ipod(4G)
They could not provide me with a solution. My game crashed constantly especially when robbing
or attacking.
My game has not crashed for 2 days and counting since doing as follows:
1. Update to ios6 using itunes if you haven't already done so.
Be sure to do a backup or you will lose your apps and data. You can then restore from your backup.
This may fix the crashing itself as ios6 might just be better
at managing memory than 5, though i'm skeptical.
If you're still crashing proceed to step 2.
2. Do a restore with itunes and when it comes to setting up your device, set it up as a new device,
don't restore your backup. This will give you a clean install of ios6.
BEWARE: you will lose all data on your device doing this step including personal and game data that
is stored locally. Things like your progress on wheres my perry... :(
(you will not lose your CRIME CITY progress as that is stored on their end)
From this point you will need to install your saved apps using the app tab on itunes.
I suggest installing only what you must have at first.
Just check the apps you want to keep then click apply and it'll send them over.
You must have a pc and itunes to do this fix, i don't know if its possible by doing the update ota.
This worked for me and atleast one other person i know of.
