I really hoped McCarthy was going to tell his guys to walk off. I also thought Tate was about to call it an interception on himself. He was shouting "No! No!" at the crowd...

The Packers got robbed for sure. The refs must be blind.

Its one thing to be classy but they didnt owe anyone their presence for the PAT...i dont give a **** where you reffed before, an interception is an interception, blatant OPI (on 2 monumental occasions) is blatant OPI...what the **** is the problem here. Were not talking the small nuances that make NFL different from college ball, were talking BLOWN pi calls and a royally ****ed packers team on the flubbed interception call. I only started giving a hoot about football a few years ago and even my dumb a s s knows how egregious those errors were...

You notice that the Packers who did come out just stood there, no rush or anything. Can't blame them really.

That's actually fairly normal when you've lost the game. Unless you're Tampa Bay...

***edit - which is why I wouldn't have sent them, it's admitting defeat

Id have been so pissed if i went back out i probably would have tried to hurt someone on the other team...in my worst form as a d1 college athlete that is sadly how intense i was...esp in the face of an injustice like this

Oh Christ... I just re-listened to the Rodgers interview. "it would have been nice if they hadn't given me a kicking ball on that conversion play to throw..."

"they gave you a kicking ball?"

"pretty sure."

"isn't that unbelievable?"

"yep."

Plus the ref called it right - was a def TD

The referees are absolutely awful. I wasn't watching the game but the Giants probably would have shut out the panthers because they got a 15 yard penalty for a personal foul.

*Player mugs Prince Amukamara*

*Amukamara pushes him away*

15 yard penalty on the giants.

...cool?

That set up the 1 yard touchdown for Cam Newton I believe

Also, Dippy, I'm now going to be the biggest Russell Wilson fan here. You've been warned.

He was 10 for 21 with an interception. Think whatever you like.

But he came through in the clutch...just like his modest(ly named) teammate Golden Tate...just beautiful show of athleticism there...

Official stats say 130 yards, 2 TDs and a win. Rodgers...0 TDs.

Russell Wilson > Aaron Rodgers. Discuss.

They can overturn it, idk why you guys are saying they can't. Roger Goodell could overturn it if he wanted too but I doubt he will since that give the real refs more leverage in the negotiations.

Don't worry, guys... I'm untrollable (autocorrect: nut rollable FYI). Good try, though, and I hope you're able to keep this thread going all week. No, I'm not going to argue with you, though. The call was ****, end of story. See you in the playoffs.

Thats gonna be real tough w the russell wilsons out there...who, due to his dimunitive stature, has a throwing angle 20 degrees higher than the avg nfl qb and leaves his receivers having to work harder to find the ball after its release. And they still took it to the packers...yikes!

So...the NFL can overturn this, right?

They released an official statement on the play.
Golden Tate shoved Sam Shields to the ground, which should've been offensive pass interference but wasn't called.
Golden Tate and the other guy(forgot his name)both had control of the ball in the endzone and because of the rule where if a reciever and a defender both have control of the ball in the endzone, the play goes in favor of the reciever resulting in the play being a TD.

The refs should've called the pass interference.

I dunno. I can't find the offending post. I find it odd that they keep letting you create new accounts though. Seems pointless to keep ejecting you if you keep coming back. I'd shut the door on you for life, both on here and the game. Nothing personal.

Unnecessarily. You're right, it was, and I apologize - I shouldn't speak on behalf of the other members here.

You do have to admit though: if you were running an establishment, say ummmm, a laser-tag place (trying to use an example you could relate to) and you threw someone out who was annoying other players by throwing enchiladas, chances are, if he showed up again but gave a different name you wouldn't let him in again.

.Joaquim.

I wouldn't waste the bullets on fake refs when there is slime like Joaquim on the streets.

You're right - that was an autocorrect thing. Good catch; there's hope for you yet.

You might let him in again after one offense, but after repeat occurrences, if you let him in again you're going to start pissing off your other customers and lose business.

I thought Joaquim was the referee, moonlighting from his regular job of spreading joy to children around the world. :)

Spreading joy isn't my style(not Santa, remember?). I'm that mean teenager who likes to go around on Halloween night scaring the crap out of the little kids so that they drop their candy and I can take it.

Well then, I'd make you stay home and give out candy to the kids.

.Joaquim.

I'd hide. Open the door in a location where they wouldn't see them, pop out, scare the crap out of them, and they'd run away while hopefully dropping some candy.
