I didn't follow the entire thread so don't know what became of it, I am sure bigspam knows better about that, but when I visited over there it seemed to be a fiasco with even a dev mentioning he hadn't heard of this sale at that amount. A bunch of posters put in that when they clicked buy it still showed the 20 percent, not the 40

Here's what happened when this semi-invisible sale happened in MW. Sorry I know these quotes are long, but basically you can buy gold at the normal prices, and support will be willing to credit you the bonus gold as if it were a 40% off sale. (ie: a vault purchased at 99.99 = 2,500 gold for this sale). But buy at your own risk, as you can see, Miner has been waiting nearly a week for the bonus to be credited.

I received the same response as Gareth. I wrote back and told them that this was not sufficient.

Here's my reply to support:

"I appreciate the offer. The math doesn't quite line up though. If I would purchase 3 vaults at 40% off, it would cost $180 and I would end up with 4,500 gold.
If I buy 2 vaults and you give 40% more, then I spend $200 for 4,200 (1500 x 1.4 x 2) gold.

To truly have the same net effect, $200 purchase should provide 5,000 gold (4,500 / $180 = 25 x 200 = 5,000).

If I purchase 2 vaults, will you credit the additional 2,000 gold?"

24 hours later, I hadn't received a response and sent another reply as follows:

"I have not heard back on this. I simply cannot make a purchase until I know the math is accurate on the bonus. Please let me know."

1 minute later, I got the reply below:

"I'll do that in this case to make the math work out correctly. Let me know when you purchased the vaults."

Within 10 minutes, I sent this message:

"Thanks. 2 vaults have been purchased." with a follow-up minutes later saying this, "I should have said thank you in advance by the way for crediting the 2,000 gold."

That was 6 days ago. I haven't received the bonus gold and have sent 2 more replies to this ticket without a single response. Additionally, I sent a PM to (er) with the ticket number asking him to write my ticket number on something and throw it at support and he said he would look into it right way.

I know we're not supposed to create threads or make posts crying out for someone to help, but I've sent 6 replies to this ticket and PM'd a mod and can't even get a simple response back from them. What else am I supposed to do?

I can confirm it's working. I bought couple vaults 39.99£ each instead of 69.99£ normal price. Then I tryed to buy third I got message bla bla contact iTunes support. It's common thing then I spend to much- to quick, I had it before. I think it's fraud prevention or something from iTunes.

My wife got this 40% sale this morning on both CC and MW. She has definitely never bought any, but she is not a new player.

To be honest, Its pretty sad that they are only offering this deal to those that are least likely to make good use of it!

Only reason I havent bought it more than once is because the price is way OTT.

I am slowly becoming disillusioned with this game. People who don't buy gold generally won't buy gold no matter what the offer is. I'm sure they will get some that will take them up on the offer. But it is unfair to offer this deal to a select few. I would hope that to balance it out they offer the gold spenders so kind of offer (queue the dreamy haze sequence of me hoping in vain)

1500 / 59.99 = 25 gold per dollar spent @ 40% off

(99.99 * 25) = 2,500 gold for a vault at full price

Yes, you'll have to pay full price and wait for support to credit you the bonus gold. So this won't go over well for people looking to buy one cheap vault. But you can still take advantage of this sale if you really want to.
