When you build your stats with gold, it gives you a larger amount of players you can attack/rob. In the higher levels in no way can it defend you from getting attacked. You have a limited amount of times you can be attacked. If you collect well you can lessen the amount of robs but not attacks. You can be attacked evert two hours of every day you play this game.

I hear a lot of talk of protecting your gold investment, so if your invest gold to expand your your pool of players you can attack, what's to protect?

Defense takes a back seat in this game. This is evident by how defensive Buildings work and how you can rob a player with double your attack in defense.

This is a game of attrition not defense or even attack.

Also, defensive explosives seem to be consumed easier than attack explosives. If I don't collect and someone with better stats than me does, it's not uncommon to lose 10 or more landmines.

Gold just changes the Rivals.

You got 30k Att/Def and fighting free players, things will get heated at times, but it's easily brushed off.

You got 100k Att/Def and are fighting other casual Gold buyers, the money spent ups the stakes, exchanges are more heated, and some people get far too emotionally involved. Anger primary emotion.

You got 200k Att/Det and are in with the big boys, if you thought all that Gold was gonna make you a big shot, you got that wrong. Unless you are one of the 3 or 4 real high rollers, you will get whacked around. Dissapointment and dissilusionment are the primary emotions.

Shark Tank effect - do not make the mistake of under-estimating how completely and totally the game changes once you hit the Shark Tank. If you were a big Gold spender you probably hit this area of the game as an untouchable giant. Wave bye bye to that. Your days as a flat track bully are done. Now it is all about how big your balls are.

Should add that my post is specific to my experience, and my being a rather rambunctious character prone to feuding and fighting.

Seeing Euchred just reminded me that you can be nice and have an altogether more pleasant time in the Shark Tank.

Ya the shrark tank is something i've grown to accept. It's also one of the costs of having a Casino :P I do like hanging out with long time players up here, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Wrong , you hit your spending limit then accept it , some people have way bigger spending limit then others .
that is all to it in the gold game , nobody is asking you to pay .

Reason some people call out these thread while fair and just , is cause they hit there limit .
And refuse to spent more , but do not want to lose ego or money wasted .

The moment you click buy gold , it is money gone down the drain !
Same as a beer , same as a smoke , same as your pension who will be worth a lot less when you hit retirement .

accept that and either do not buy gold at all , go tapjoy accept the defeats .
Or just accept things are the way they are , the next gen consumers are here , what once was a money wasted on toys they waste money on virtual goods .

Do it cause it was fun , usefull , do not use it to compete , unless you want to go for the endsprint top 10 .
See ladder event , those are the end sprinters , if legit or not is to be determined from some .
But definetly atleast 20 legit among them , or else not enough income to continue the event !

That is how the game works , if you bought gold with regrets , remove your Credit Card or Debit Card info .
Play the game without it , only reason to not buy gold !
Is cause too many cheaters not handled to warrant donating ! , that is infact a very good reason .

I would agree with you DR Bone Crusher that collection is the best defense.

Do I build defense buildings? Yes because there are no other money buildings at my current level to build that I want. So why not try to keep some of weaker players out of my hood.

I could care less about my win/loss percentage. That is why I have no problem about attacking or robbing players with much larger stats then me. They come back at me and crush me. Who cares? Not I.

But for someone like me (very light gold spender) will the pool be big enough for me to complete thug life goals when I hit the shark pool with out spending more gold? That is the only reason for me to keep spending gold without knowing what the average stats of players are like up there.

How long can I last? Forever....this game is much more about the head then it is about the wallet. The wallet makes its easier for sure but how about the mental edge. Does the bigger wallet give you a mental edge? Not in my mind. It just allows you to walk away for longer period of times knowing that someone will not be able to rob you or attack you. The wallet does nothing for the person mind, only the ego. When the big wallet meets another big wallet, does it come down to who has more money or who is weak in the mind?

Yes this game is all about who can last longer with out wearing down. Not actually who has the biggest wallet.

I will except my 120 beat downs with open arms daily.

fuzzy always people weaker then you in the sharkpool , HZ is doing fine infact excellent .

Bigger stats only increases the amount of people to attack , but even at 30k you will find people weaker then you .
The game is playable if you do not care about loses or win , or spending gold or not .

that is the sharkpool make a switch this is the limit , done and do exactly the same , just the amount of red increases a lot , so tons of red on your news feed , not a big deal , gives you more options to rob .

@dravak, why does it have to be an end sum game for you. I look at it as an added value game, if I spend real money how much more fun will the game be. Right now I'm happy with want I have. No need to spend 10k to beat 5 or 10 more players. My next goal is 200k attack when the time is right I will spent the cash to get their. Even with 200k stats I could lose every 2hrs a day, For Every Day I Play This Game. The Added value is to be able to beat someone every 2 hrs of every day I play this game.

I hope that person you gonna be hitting on timer is gonna be me, Poppins has become derelict in his wall cleaning duties, which is very annoying as it lets other people in. Vader also lapsed after a period of effort.

In the attrition game, one obsessed enemy is a truly beautiful thing, it is almost a form of defence, better in fact - as he blocks all of your other enemies so completely.
