I'm at 6 so far, but opened 10 today and haven't gotten a Stone yet (or even honor or gold). Hoping I can get the 15 prize, but won't if this keeps up.

I maximize my chances by opening every hour as often as I can. I involve my whole family when it is a box event, both MW and KA. So far I got 12 stones, 2x some honour points and 3x gold stack.

I opened more boxes with free option than using gold, on last box event. I must have opened two boxes with a rusty knife this event.

I got 8 stones during the first 2 days but the stone just stop coming in since yesterday

I get to open 16 box per day but so far I don't see anymore coming in.

I got 90% response "better luck next time" then with gold prizes and honor.

I am just wondering whether the more star box we have, the harder we get free stone?

Just curious only... or GREE want us to buy Gem to open the box? :)

The more stones you have the harder it is to get more stones (to a limit). And yes GREE would like you to buy gems to open more boxes.

I seem to have more success (opening) when I collected just a few boxes to open each hour. I have 19 stones at the moment good for top 250. I dont spend my gems for opening boxes, but I have used it this event when my luck is not on my side. As for your other question, big YES. Good luck!

No point putting in a ticket. That kind of open rate/drop rate of the desired gem/stone/whatever has been long noted. I've gone for nearly 2 days (at about 18-20 tries a day) of mainly gold tries and got virtually nothing.

who knows if they tweak the code each event or not.

in the past, I thought that maybe the odds to get the box item were higher with more boxes, so I made every effort to only have 2-3 boxes at a time, and it didnt seem to matter

my luck in this event has been about the same as you. I think I got 7 stones in the first 18-24 hours, and then only 1 or 2 since then, with a ton of sorrys. I did have a string where I got a bunch of gold, though...

I figure it's just the randomizer getting back to me, since the last two events I actually got to 18 or so using gold option (and picked up 2 more in OT to get the 20 unit with only about 5-8 hours of actual real-time OT attempts)

I wouldnt be surprised if they tweaked the stone appearance rate for this event, since it coincides with their freebie gem beta testing... they might have made it harder to get a stone to see if players use the free gems to open a box and then actually buy gems...

I have 14 currently, got 6 or 7 the first day and about 2 per day on average since using gold option, opening on average 15 or 16 per day. All day, out of 16 open attempts so far, about 70% "sorry" and a few gold, one honor prize. The open rate isn't the problem the higher you get (least in my experience), it's just that the odds of getting a stone vs gold or honor is ridiculously low. I'm sure I'll get one more for the 15 unit before the end, but I'm starting to get a bit worried since I haven't gotten a single stone all day (with about a day and a half to go). Can only keep trying.

My opinion, unless you are not saving for major upgrade (BD10), I would keep opening boxes with gold option. The last 3 units, can be used even when you get to the higher level. I have 26 atm, hoping to finish in top250 to get the special unit. Good luck!

New box event has started on MW and it has gone back to the old style collect 10 items event - there is hope that someone listens and hopefully we will return to that type as well!

Given that this is a 6 day event, the top 50 numbers, and the top 250 numbers are both low (I suspect the latter is well within gold range by now). Additionally looking around (and admittedly at level 125 when participation has little incentive) but the number of people who are not participating even to the extent of getting the first unit is huge.

On the downside this has always been the game where Funzio/Gree tests the high end of payments.

Wasn't doing the box event, but during the Epic Boss event, a kindly 1 EXP wolf gave me a Star Box. With my trusty rusty knife I popped it open (after a few sorries) and got a .... Sun Stone! Err ... any prize for 1 Sun Stone? LOL :D
