Robbery fail against much lower defense stats - ?

Came across a player with defense stats that are less than half of my attack stats, but I cannot get even a single successful robbery against them (tried over 10 straight times on different buildings). Is there an item with a modifier for defense stats that would make this happen? A glitch? A cheat?

He could have hacked defensive skill points. This has happened to other forum members too.

Yeah but the most you could get in defense assuming you only played defense is: 600 points and a few more from missions... at lvl200... this would only add 6k defense...

and robbing buildings should be easier...

Can you tell us your attack and his defense?I guess I should have mentioned its highly unlikely to be relevant unless the raw stats are pretty low. So, yeah...probably a cheat.

Yah but thats only 1k actual d...when someone can rob you w half the att or your d then in ops case that 100 skill wouldnt do nuttin!
I ran into a guy recently who was 10-15 k under me in both stats and i went 1-for-20 on pvp and it took like 3 sarins to rob his lms and then he came back and 10-0'd me all day for a couple days :-/

Report and explain that's it's possibly a skill point hack...

Furthermore, someone with event items won would doubtfully be sitting at 30k stats...

Has there been any items that increases defense by a percentage? I know there was a vehicle a while back that added % to attack iirc to one category of equipment.

Also according to area completion rewards (http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?13273-Area-equipment-energy-costs-and-completion-awards)After first 30 levels and 11 levels more offering 1 skill point for mastery level 5, After and including Chinatown three maps give 5 skill points. That is not including the 14 maps after Municipal District. Unless there has been an update I haven't seen yet......

I have come across a similar one at lvl 200, his defence under half my attack and he wins.

Report him and move on.

i have problems like this to sometimes to also someone just robbed me with 6.4k attack against my 12.3k defense and i lost, tell me is that even possible?

Low level noob here but the way I understand, building defense doesn't count for much towards rob defense if they're upgraded.... I regularly rob players who's DEF is much higher than my ATK successfully.... although we're talking only 4k ATK. I only consider rivals' ATK when deciding whether or not to rob.... if their ATK and DEF are way different, then DEF is a prolly a result of upgraded buildings and not relevant and I win. Attacks are much different of course. I remember reading something about not attacking when the player avatar is close to DEF buildings.... is this true? Does the avatar's wanderings through his hood affect the attack results if he's near a defense building?

Well after level 100, for eveery point defense stat = 10 defense. Before that it's a fractioncloser to 10 the closer you get to level 100.

From the last area mastery I think there are 58 maps and then what jobs/goals give a free skill point.

I have a stalker that is at least 20k lower on attack than my 56k defense. He robs me every day. I make 823k per hour and the Azz uses at least thirty to forty stamina to rob my nightclubs and other high $ buildings. I don't know what the point of having a high defense stat is if anyone can rob you anyway. I also have over 100 skill pts on defense. Any suggestion.?

Welcome to the wonderfull world of Crime City where defense is futile and attack is everything. You need roughly 1 point attack to break 2 def. Suggestions?

Collect on time so you can't get robbed at all
Stop waisting skill points on def
Go on the warpath and attack everything in sight
