Kind of a letdown. Drop rates are too low for the amount of energy on most of these to be considered.

Empire fair (drop %, total energy, Drop / 1000 energy):

Melee (Whac-A-Mole - 25/10)
Trash The Food Stand (15%, 930 en, .16)
Loot (25%, 1815 en, .14)
Break the Ferris Wheel (25%, 1884 en, .13)

Explosive (Funhouse Frag Grenade - 29/16)
Disable the Guard (15%, 639 en, .23)
Assassinate the Assassin (40%, 2664 en, .15)

Armor (Clown Shoes - 18/19)
Find the Girlfriend (15%, 705, .21)
Question the Rat (25%, 1750, .14)

Armor (Carney Pants - 16/28)
Rob the Jewelry Stand (25%, 748, .33)
Shoot the Tires (25%, 1596, .16)
Kill the Hired Musscle (sic) (25%, 1865, .13)

Car (Clown Car - 23/20)
Mug the Fairgoer (15%, 519, .29)
Steal the Cash Drawer (25%, 1135, .22)
Dismantle the Bus (40%, 2008, .2)
Destroy the Bumper Cars (25%, 1544, .16)

To put the explosives in perspective...
Name=ATK*Drop/Energy=DEF*Drop/Energy (higher is better)
TLC=========1.14====0.82
Delivery======1.04====0.45
Crowd Control==0.84====0.4
Funhouse Frag==0.68===0.38
Homemade TNT=0.67===0.32

These are weaker than the others for the drop rates.

Multiclicks was one of those old school 2.02 versions. The new map data (including this one) was probably brought in with one of the many updates since then.

I still have it on comp, but the only thing worth farming is DD's.

I'm pretty sure that multiclick still works with new items/maps - there are people I see that are adding items to their inventory faster than seems probable.

The new items should provide more proof - with multi-click they will have an 8 x greater chance at the 40% drop rate on Assassinate the Underboss - you find players with an inordinate number of Homemade TNT, you are possibly looking at someone running both the older standard version, and the new HD versions, side by side on their iPad, so they get he best of both worlds.

It's cheating to all intents and purposes. But rats are rats are rats.

Now because Gree doesn't force client updates, thats construed as cheating? Funny one...

Of course it's cheating.

If anyone is knowingly exploiting a glitch or other game changing bug, that is outside of the intended game version levels - then it is cheating plain and simple.

More so in the case of players that uninstall/reinstall between old version for multi-click farming, and new version for things like Epic Boss events.

That is so far outside of 'normal' gameplay, it is being done or no reason other than to gain advantage over other players, aka Cheating.

The defense that it is 'Gree at fault' no more holds up in this case than it did with the cash glitch cheat that Santa got lambasted and ostracised for.

Uh no, sorry Burn. I run 2.0.1 because I have no interest in events that horde gold, scratchers with lame prizes most of the time, and the annoying pop-ups and icons that come with it.

Anyone updates when they want, how they want. Calling them cheaters is rediculous.

nopenopenope
09-15-2012, 01:09 AM
I back up each version from all my apps over time in case an "update" actually regresses the app in some way or outright breaks it in some cases.

You'll find a lot of minor iOS updates add new advertisements and sponsors to their products, nothing more...but hey they're free so I don't quibble.

Burn
09-15-2012, 01:12 AM
Scenario 1: You are on an old version and choose not to upgrade because you prefer the pre-Gree gameplay, it is the only version you run, and you are willingly giving up any benefits of the later game versions - specifically you don't get scratchers, or new Epc Boss items.

Judgement: Not cheating, but gameplay choice. You are innocent.

Scenario 2: you have a backed up multi-click version in iTunes, you swap between the old version and the new version dependent on circumstances and what items are up for grabs, or what events are running.

Judgement: Cheat, GTFO.

Scenario 3: You have an iPad and run both the old multi-click version, and the latest update of HD version, because they share data, you can load whichever version you want, and get the benefits of both.

Judgement: Cheat, GTFO.

How are you guys even able to get old versions?

1 - Jailbreak iPhone, not all people around the world connect to AppStore to buy/download app, they get app by loading cracked files from other website or torrent & they have many versions of an app.

2 - If one using iTunes to download app from a Mac, simply looking into Trash bin to find old files. Every time iTunes load new update version, it moves old version to Trash bin.

I don't think it's a cheat when you try to exploit advantages from an app version.

Is it cheat when the du....... guy try to loot mossberg as many as possible when each tap give him 1 because of an app bug or when jo....... guy reinstall the app in order to buy a bunch of crates with the original price (1/3 of current price)... no, you guys never call them cheaters because you know them well, right!

That happened once in iPad version & a short time in iPhone version. Players don't need to finish the job, each tap has a chance to drop an item, for example map's boss job is 0/8 (8 taps to finish), each tap to do boss job may drop 1 loot item, so player may have up to 8 items just by complete boss job.

Somehow a bug occur when it's too easy to loot items, especially super strong item like mossbergs 590 50/50, people easily get tons of mossbergs in 1 day, wow. Funzio remove that function since then. (all looted items nerfed - cause some delete hoods and quit)

Polarbear

This was pre-2.2:

Okay, there has been an admittedly ridiculous amount of noise-to-signal on this issue all around, and that's going to stop now. It doesn't help that I was misinformed about the end decision, and I apologize for the incorrect information (just had a sit-down with one of the head devs, because we want this one cleared up for you all). Here's a timeline with the what and why, followed by what is going on now:

-Initial intent is loot only for the last step of multi-click jobs, including bosses.

-Bug in HD version makes some loot available on every click. HD players reasonably assume Christmas has happened again.

-Bug comes to our attention. Forehead-slapping and gnashing of teeth ensues. Executive decision made to nerf the unbalanced items that many players have way more of than they should have, while fix is worked on.

Which brings us to today and the fix that was just pushed. As of right now, both platforms should be seeing the same thing: Multi-click job loot has a chance to drop from every step as was happening on HD, but drop percentages have been greatly reduced to bring things in line with original balance decisions. Again, this is live now.

I apologize for the misinformation earlier, and if you see anyone in other threads with continuing confusion, point them here.

Those areas should be fixed now. If you see this is still a problem, let us know.

And as for LE item loot vs. gameplay fixes, I hear this one a lot, and it is understandable sentiment but an unfair comparison.

The average gameplay issue requires initial testing/verification, detective work in the code, verifying the fix works (which can involve testing something that is close to untestable) and then on top of that if it is a client-side issue it needs to go out in an update (which means waiting on Apple's verification process). If we discover an issue and have the power to fix it and push it rapidly, we do so, but you're not going to hear about a lot of those because they aren't visible to everyone.

EDIT: And if anyone has any other questions about this, please ask.

Dravak

That is correct , but thing is multiclick no longer excist , since those versions have to be updated to current versions,
To play this game , even with double versions running .

Edit if they brought back multiclick , like CJ saying , then it is great since pve loot is worthless anyway at this stage !

Burn
09-15-2012, 03:02 AM

Unbalanced items from single-click were effectively outlawed and nerfed.

Presumably anyone caught still doing it would have the items, or their whole account, similarly wiped.

I don't suppose using multi-click could be outlawed in any way as long as it is the only version used.

I would think it becomes an issue when there is switching between old and new versions, or concurrently running both normal and HD with old/new CC versions on an iPad (if that is even possible) in order to get the combined benefits of both old and new.

That's naughty, and crossing the line to the point that anyone doing it clearly knows they are getting an unfair advantage.

What advantage is it to use it then if the drop rates are corrected? Seems like it wouldn't be worth the effort to have both running if the reduced rates nullify the advantage of multiclick?

So let's look at your Big Wheels you have been farming since level 135. You know that you and I have been going at it pretty hard for the last week or 2 so you know I probably know your inventory better then you do.

Lets let forum decide about the drop rates from the older version of cc that you play with.

These numbers are what I ran against your profile on September the 8th 2012.

Farming the Big Wheels best drop rate job

393 exp from the job
Loot drop total for player is 47 that's you on date I ran the numbers
Percent of the drop is 40% on the spreadsheet from mxz

Let's say the drop is 100% for fun

393 x 47 = 18,471 total needed for 47 Big Wheels loot

Player is now 137
Job opens up at level 135

Exp needed from 135 to 137 = 18,685
So in 2 levels you only gained 214 exp from all other play.

So yes it does increase drop rate big time.

There no way for 2 level the only thing you did was farm to gain experience. Because you attacked me which gave you exp. and you farmed some explosives also.

Yes you are now at level 140 so it is harder to see theses numbers but I got a PM I sent to a couple of players about your numbers on the September the 8th.

So you with 100% drops are glitching....glitching is the same as cheating in my mind.

Seems like you did that once before with DD...

lol, I don't think this G ... guy needed app glitching or multi-click to loot tons of DDs ... he had a spe-ci-al wayyyy to do that.

Farming the Big Wheels best drop rate job

How did you deduce this?

With multiclicks the best jobs are those with many steps but non-boss. So g wiz might be farming 6x92exp in little Havana. @30% drop rate per 92 exp this may be more valid.

Easily confirmed if you would also have a count of jobs completed.

You may be correct he may be....but for some one that is not playing with the old 2.0.1 version of the game would not be able to get nearly as many as he has.

Level 135 to 137 you need 18,685 experience

In those 2 levels he looted 47 Big Wheels.

Let's use your spot. At 100% drop rate but without multiclick. The version you would download right now from the app store.

6x92= 552 experience

552 experience times his 47 Big Wheels = 25,944 experience

Which would have put him up to level 138 or 139 without gaining any other exp from game play. Only from farming.

All I'm doing is showing the advantage (glitch) he has by using a version that was updated in February of 2012.....7 months old....

Just showing he double dips with playing an old version with multiclick and a newer version for boss events and the current events.

Just checked the loot spreadsheet and I see a 6 x 230 for the big wheel not a 6 x 96...The assassinate job is the one listed as a 6 click.

Which job is 6 x 96 for the big wheel?

Well.... so much for thinking new maps aren't available to multiclicks....

Guess Funzio/Gree never considered them cheating as there was even a very Very old guide by AMG:

1) Retrieve CC 2.0.2 from a backup (I have Time Machine for my backups) - if you need, I can mail it to you

2) In iTunes delete the new version of CC 2.2

3) Drag the recovered version of CC 2.0.2 into the iTunes window

4) Re-synch your iPhone

I've just completed my reversion and re-launched...it all looks OK. Back to farming M4A1s :D

Seems like you did that once before with DD...Fuzzy,

First off I farmed them from the Nilda chick in little havana. The cost per click to hit her is 230 energy at 92 exp (lowest amount for car @ 30% We are also aware that loot drop rate changes during events). That puts me at 10,810 energy for 47 big wheels or 4,324 exp for the big wheel farming alone.

According to you I need 18,685 exp to level from 135 to 137. 4,324 exp from 18,685 leaves me with 14,361 exp for other play. I already told you and few others who were interested that I was focusing on the anniversary event and spent itunes cards to get refills (think it was dwizzy in another thread).

The whole DD fiasco was a big misunderstanding on the late Funzio's part. I evidenced it clearly to them as well as forum; you can check the history, its why I got all of my gold back. From switching iphone to ipad, I somehow got boss percentages for every single job I did, I even posted a pic of it.

As I also said earlier in this thread, I have contacted GREE about using older client versions to ensure that I was in no way manipulating the game like you accuse me and the answer from CE in support was that it is totally fine. Out of respect for you I did this because I shouldn't have to explain myself, but I also know your "job" in CC.

Does that clear things up for you?

Mr GWiz,

Thanks for responding.

I really could care less about energy. It's about exp to me. How little to gain before being red 24/7 but you are doing a good job of that before the shark pool any way.

Your numbers above....4,324 exp from 47 big wheels.....would be from 100% drop rate correct? No one gets 100% drop rate do they?

For me personal to get 47 big wheels from the same location at 100% drop rate I would have gained 25,944 exp....while you only gained 4,324 exp....

Because it takes me 6 clicks while you only 1.

You see the difference???

I guess I should not be upset with you but with Gree that allows old version of the game to connect to its server that allows better drop rate.

Good to see you back Burn. Just reading this thread and wanted to agree that those cheating in this game whoever they are known unknown deserve to be kicked out completely.I've been an advocate of the famous M4A1 nerf for a very long time. The Mossberg was nothing compared to what should have been the Rusty M4A1 dropping as normal M4's for months. I've got 333 of them and glad to have them reduced alongside everyone else's. Farming should be used to boost up weaknesses in your inventory list, mine is Melee. Other than that M's info is superb and hats off to you kind sir. Play fair and do remember this game is better played as a marathon not a sprint.Plux

I was out all day yesterday, so catching up.

So to recap on where this thread got to, am I right in assuming the following?

1. Funzio said it was OK to remain on an earlier version of the game that supported multi-click, and some people have taken that option. Not a problem at all with that.

2. Funzio have never validated running both old and new versions side by side, or by constant uninstalling and reinstalling, nor would they - as it gives a clear and dramatic advantage. Glitching, cheating, call it what you like.

3. A player has admitted to doing number 2.

Am I right with that summary? If so, what happens now?

Oh and thx Pluxy, always good to see a fellow Hammer. COYI.

Yup.

Unfortunately nothing will happen.

TOS states ban will occur if there is an exploit of a bug. Multiclicks was initially considered a HD bug, but was 'solved' by introduction to universal and plummeting the drop rates. Running old and new does not violate any rules as I believe Funzio does not consider multiclicks to be a game error anymore...

I'm actually more interested in what the player himself, or his mob, do about it.

According to another current thread, they are now running a clean operation, and operate according to the strictest rules of honesty, integrity and fair play.

So a perfect opportunity for them to prove that me thinks. I'll just wait here then. ;)
